Digital filtering algorithms are most frequently used to implement generic-based Field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) chips, which are used for higher sampling rates. In the filtering structure, delay and occupied areas play a vital role. Since the existing structures suffered from shortcomings such as high delay and high occupied area, implementing a high-performance digital filter circuit with high speed and low occupied area based on unique technology can significantly improve the performance of whole FPGA structures. One of the best technologies to implement this vital structure to solve these shortcomings is quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) technology. This paper presents several new efficient full adders for digital filter applications based on quantum technology, including a multiplier, AND gate, and accumulator. The QCADesigner 2.0.3 tool is used to create and validate the suggested designs. According to the results, all designed circuits have simple structures with few quantum cells, low area, and low latency. © 2023

In order to establish sustainable operations, Internet innovation has been widely adopted in the retail sector;however, certain operational difficulties, such as security and confidentiality have been uncovered in practise. As a result, linked fields must do more thorough theoretical study. In order to compete with online merchants and promote sustainable growth, this study examines how traditional brick and mortar stores might use IoT technology. First, by taking into account the costs of customer inconvenience associated with shopping through various retail partners and the influence of Technology, pricing Plans were created for the store and the retailer of concrete blocks, respectively. Furthermore, by contrasting different scenarios, the benefits of internet to retail shops and consumer excess are analysed. After that, the basic models were expanded to take into account consumer - perceived sensitivity regarding IoT technology and price competitiveness in order to test the robustness of the analytical conclusions. Additionally, actual data-based numerical analyses are performed. © 2023 IEEE.

Perovskite-based photovoltaics is progressing towards commercial application, but still requires improvement in both efficiency and durability. In this paper, we present results on enhancing the performance of perovskite solar cells by introducing laser-induced texturizing at the ITO electrode, which could be easily up-scaled and applied to large area devices. Single pulses of the fibre laser were used to ablate the ITO and create a matrix of microlenses. Their role was to increase the diffusive transmittance of the patterned electrode and the light harvesting within the device. In addition, texturizing expands its active surface, which also has a beneficial effect on the performance of perovskite solar cells. According to data obtained, active layers (PEDOT:PSS, CH3NH3PbI3-xClx perovskite and PC70BM) did not fully fill the hollows, but formed continuous layers along the substrate topography. As a result, the power conversion efficiency increased from 8.2 to 11.0% for reference and patterned devices, respectively. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this work, we deal with the node placement problem in Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs). We present a hybrid intelligent simulation system called WMN-PSOHC, which combines Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Hill Climbing (HC). We implement in WMN-PSOHC system the Fast Convergence Rational Decrement of Vmax Method (FC-RDVM) and Random Inertia Weight Method (RIWM) router replacement methods. By using WMN-PSOHC system, we carry out simulations the access the performance of these two methods considering Chi-Square distribution of mesh clients and two different instances. The simulation results show that FC-RDVM performs better then RIWM in the considered scenario. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In 2020, the world suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic. This situation highlighted the considerable need for systems to detect viruses quickly. Providing an accurate e-health system that detects, monitors, and controls virus spread became necessary. Countries attempt to reduce the virus's spread using basic processes such as quarantine and lockdown. Early virus detection is requested to reduce the threat and decrease the propagation of the pandemic. This paper proposes an attempt to avoid speed-up spreading based on airborne virus detection. The suggested detection based on the SiNW-FET biosensor is not approved as a standardized diagnostic test. To support the airborne detection methodology, a metasurface technology based on Reflector cylindrical antenna with a sensing unit is proposed to detect viruses. The proposal considered the propagation delays and concentration of a virus. Conducted results prove that the receiver's volume is considered a primary key to an accurate detection rather than the virus's concentration.

Emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) aims at accurately identifying emotional states expressed in conversational content. Existing ERC methods, although relying on semantic understanding, often encounter challenges when confronted with incomplete or misleading semantic information. In addition, when dealing with the interaction between emotional and semantic information, existing methods are often difficult to effectively distinguish the complex relationship between the two, which affects the accuracy of emotion recognition. To address the problems of semantic misdirection and emotional cross-talk encountered by traditional models when confronted with complex conversational data, we propose a semantic and emotional dual channel (SEDC) strategy for emotion recognition in conversations to process emotional and semantic information independently. Under this strategy, emotion information provides an auxiliary recognition function when the semantics are unclear or lacking, enhancing the accuracy of the model. Our model consists of two modules: the emotion processing module accurately captures the emotional features of each utterance through contrastive learning, and then constructs a dialogue emotion propagation map to simulate the emotional information conveyed in the dialogue;the semantic processing module combines an external knowledge base to enhance the semantic expression of the dialogue through knowledge enhancement strategies. This divide-and-conquer approach allows us to more deeply analyze the emotional and semantic dimensions of complex dialogues. Experimental results on the IEMOCAP, EmoryNLP, MELD, and DailyDialog datasets show that our approach significantly outperforms existing techniques and effectively improves the accuracy of dialogue emotion recognition. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is the network of embedded and resource-constrained nodes, that forms the foundation of the Internet of Things (IoT). These networks are designed to sense, aggregate and transport sensed data to locations that may be local or remote to the sensory field, for immediate or stored for later use. In most cases, WSN generates heterogeneous data that conveys information of varying priorities which may be real-time (RT) or non-real-time (NRT). However, the de facto routing protocol;Routing Protocol for Low-power and Lossy Networks (RPL) is not optimized for heterogeneous data routing. Likewise, routing schemes proposed in the literature have not proffered a lasting solution. In this paper, we proposed the Shortest Path Priority-based RPL (SPPB-RPL). The SPPB-RPL scheme not only routes data with varying priorities but also does so with optimal network performances. Its application in a smart campus is used as a case study. The scheme uses the mechanism of class of service (CS) to classify and prioritized data into various priority classes. Subsequently, the standard RPL DIO base object was improved upon to accommodate the prioritized data classes, and finally, the Dijkstra Algorithm (DA) was adopted to generate the optimal shortest routing path leading to the destination node which is guided by the priority of the data. Benchmarked with related schemes, SPPB-RPL performed optimally with a 99.98% packet delivery ratio with the least latency. This enhanced the network performance for a prolonged operational lifetime. © 2020 IEEE.

Environmental awareness has recently emerged as one of the most crucial topics. As a result, various groups advocate for these technologies and research ways to promote their usage in various contexts. This study examines the factors influencing the intention and use of green technology among academics. This study integrates Price Value (PV) and Consideration of future consequence (CFC) to Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) as a theoretical basis. Two hundred five valid replies were gathered and processed through statistical analysis. The results of this study partly support the developed hypotheses. Four hypotheses developed from TPB have presented significant relationships. However, PV and CFC were not. The findings indicate that individuals in this study did not consider CFC or PV of green IT products as critical factors in their decision-making process. Findings also suggest that for implementation success, competent parties must consider the campaign to increase individual awareness and provide financial support regarding environmental policy.

Communications satellite network (CSN), as an integral component of the next generation of communication systems, has the capability to offer services globally. Data transmission in this network primarily relies on two modes: inter-satellite communication and satellite-to-ground station communication. The latter directly impacts the successful reception of data by users. However, due to resource and task limitations, finding a satisfactory solution poses a significant challenge. The communication satellite-ground station network scheduling problem (CS-GSNSP) aims to optimize CSN effectiveness by devising a plan that maximizes link construction time while considering constraints associated with satellite operation modes. The large number of tasks and numerous constraints in the problem result in a time-consuming evaluation of fitness function values. To address this issue, we propose a fuzzy fitness evaluation method (FFEM) that employs fuzzy or real evaluation methods based on individual similarity degrees. Additionally, we introduce an evolutionary algorithm based on FFEM, called evolutionary algorithm based on FFEM (FFEEA), for iteratively searching high-quality network construction schemes. In FFEEA, an adaptive crossover approach is used for efficient population search. Finally, extensive experiments are conducted to demonstrate that our proposed fuzzy fitness evaluation method and other improvement strategies significantly enhance satellite network service time. The study introduces a novel approach to enhance the efficiency of solving combinatorial optimization problems, such as CS-GSNSP, by mitigating the complexity associated with fitness evaluation. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.
