In this paper, we propose a new method able to correct errors the dematerialization the documents, especially the invoice document. We use on Electronic document readers able to read and recognize the relevant information. The process consists on: digitizing an important quantity of documents and passing them through an electronic documents reader. Then treating (correcting) the error recognition. The final objective is to find an electronic document reflecting all information included in the original document (physical document). Chip-size structure for continuous microwave irradiation using post-wall waveguide

Microwave application technologies such as microwave heating, microwave assisted chemistry, etc. are of the innovative green technologies. This paper proposes a chip-size structure for continuous microwave irradiation. It consists of a post-wall waveguide and a micro channel arranged among the metallic posts (pillars), and utilizes the 24.125GHz ISM band instead of the commonly used 2.45GHz ISM band to realize miniaturization. The micro channel can be embedded easily by using the gaps between the metallic posts of the post-wall waveguide, simultaneously keeping the microwave energy confined. For the input of microwave power, two types of the irradiation structure are designed. One is a structure with coaxial transmission line to post-wall waveguide transformer. The other is a structure with microstrip feed line. The temperaturetime profiles of some solvents under microwave irradiation are examined numerically and experimentally with microwave power sources of about 1W. © 2013 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Software testing plays a crucial role in software development life cycle. The test case is the primary component in testing. Different techniques are used for generating test cases. State sensitivity partitioning(SSP) was proposed in order to generate test cases and avoid exhaustively testing of the module's entire states. In SSP, test cases are represented in the form of a sequence of events. They are generated based on all-transition coverage criterion. However, there is no limit for the number of events that each test case can hold. So, these events may form a lengthy test sequence that has a number of redundant data states. Thus, there is a need to optimize the number of events per test case while preserving the effectiveness of fault detection. This paper outlines the ongoing research toward a technique for generating an optimized test cases and test suites based on SSP.

Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) is a challenging field of wireless technology that offers a wide variety of useful applications. These applications span from safety related applications to infotainment services. IEEE 802.11p standard that operates in 5.9 GHz frequency band is widely adopted in VANETs for physical and MAC layers. The radio signals in 5.9 GHz band are less penetrating as compared to Wi-Fi that operates in 2.4 GHz band. Obstacles that impede radio signals have high impact on vehicular communication. Thus, maintaining line-of-sight among communicating vehicles improves vehicular communication. Modern day vehicular environment contains road infrastructure units such as curve roads, flyovers, underpasses, tunnels and irregular roads. The modern road infrastructure units introduce non line-of-sight conditions which result in either costly or no communication. This paper introduces a mechanism to maintain line-of-sight among communicating vehicles while considering modern road infrastructure units. The geometrical concepts are used here to model and formulate the line-of-sight (LOS) conditions in various real world scenarios. We have calculated the relative optimal position of signal repeaters / reflectors for maintaining line-of-sight condition in different road infrastructure units.

Towards Semantic Mutation Testing of Aspect-Oriented Programs

Aspect-oriented programs have received much attention from software testing researchers. Various testing techniques and approaches have been proposed to tackle issues and challenges when testing aspect-oriented programs including traditional mutation testing. In traditional mutation testing of aspect-oriented programs, mutants are generated by making small changes to the syntax of the aspect-oriented language. Recently, a new approach known as semantic mutation testing has been proposed. This approach mutates the semantics of the language in which the program is written. The mutants generated misunderstandings of the language which are different classes of faults. Aspect-oriented programming presents itself with different properties that can be further explored with respect to semantic mutation testing. This paper describes various possible scenarios that semantic mutation testing strategy might have particular value in testing aspect-oriented programs.

Modern software frameworks for Model-Based systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies are proprietary and commonly restricts to a poor choice of domain specific languages. Furthermore, the interoperablity and model interchange support between frameworks is a technically hard challenge. The industrial strength standard OMG MOF (Meta-Object Facility) is a solid approach for the definition of domain specific languages. Applying meta-modeling techniques to existing modeling and simulation frameworks reduces obscurity of proprietarity and implicitely language characteristics. On the other hand, standard compliance improves product openness/transparency, reliability and confidence as for primary modes of operation. This paper presents a methodology to incorporate methods of meta-modeling and standard compliant domain specific languages in an existing modeling and simulation framework. First results are emerged and exemplified for an effective modeling dialect called MML (MLDesigner Modeling Language). Future prospects reviews already accomplished goals in this project, address several alternatives and improvements and gives an overview of ongoing development.

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is envisioned to provide a wide range of health-care services to patients in medical environment such as hospitals and clinics. This increases the deployment of wireless platforms in medical environment that bring new challenges, such as interference with neighboring medical devices and the degradation of Quality of Service (QoS) performance, which may be critical to patient's safety. Cognitive Radio (CR) is next-generation wireless communications, and artificial intelligence has been widely adopted to provide self-learning in order to observe, learn and take action against its operating environment. The application of CR in medical wireless environment can cater to the aforementioned challenges. In this paper, we present a review on the limited literature on CR-based WBAN, highlighting some pioneering schemes in this area. We present two architectures, two state-of-the-art applications of CR (i.e. Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) reduction and QoS enhancement), as well as a number of schemes in CR-based WBAN. While there are numerous research efforts investigating CR and WBAN respectively, the research into CR-based WBAN remains at the infancy stage. This paper discusses various open issues related to CR-based WBAN in order to spark new interests in this research area.

Wireless sensor network technologies can be used for industrial embedded system design to save cabling cost and weight. However, their environment, architecture, and design issues are quite different from original sensor network applications. Simulation tools and system design environments have to be adapted to the special requirements, such as operational modes and phases which influence the system. This paper presents a more detailed wireless sensor network to check against the application requirements concerning QoS, reliability, and lifetime. An avionics application example is presented.

The dynamicity and unpredictability of channel availability in Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) have imposed a major challenge to the design of routing schemes. Generally speaking, routing enables Secondary Users (SUs) to select optimal routes, while minimizing interference to Primary Users (PUs), which is a key requirement of CRNs. Nevertheless, there has been limited research in the literature for routing schemes that consider both SUs' interference to PUs and network-wide performance of SUs. This paper proposes a novel Cognitive Radio Q-routing (CRQ-routing) scheme, which aims to take account of SU-to-PU interference and SUs' end-to-end delay. Traditionally, routing schemes have been designed for specific applications and may not achieve the optimum network-wide performance in most kinds of network scenarios. In this paper, CRQ-routing has been shown to achieve network-wide performance in scenarios with various levels of channel dynamicity and unpredictability in regards to PU activities. Furthermore, CRQ-routing is simple to implement since it does not require additional hardware or geographical information. Basically, CRQ-routing is a Reinforcement Learning- (RL-) based approach that provides intelligence to SUs so that they can learn to make dynamic and efficient routing decisions on the fly while addressing the important characteristics of CRNs namely, dynamicity and unpredictability of channel availability, and SUs' interference to PUs. Simulation results show that CRQ-routing reduces the interference to PUs for up to 43% compared to traditional routing schemes, and it achieves lower end-to-end delay under highly unpredictable PU activities.

Analysis and validation using simulation is a helpful tool in systems engineering, but requires in-depth knowledge of various aspects of the system itself, the used model class(es), an appropriate software tool, and sometimes software engineering. Usually, this expertise is spread over a number of team members, and thus the development of a simulation-based system design tool is not a simple task. This paper presents a framework enabling the rapid development of extensible and reusable simulation-based applications. It supports an agile, iterative, evolutionary, and architecture-centric software development process. The design of the framework together with its components as well as the corresponding software development process is described. As an example, an environment for the configuration and analysis of wireless sensor network applications in the aeronautic domain is presented, which has been designed and implemented based on the proposed environment.
