This paper presents an analysis of parasitic capacitances in resonant rectifier which has significant impact on the operating point of the resonance circuit, which the junction capacitance is to decrease the resonant current and DC output voltage in the circuit at switching frequency less than resonant frequency. This can be represented by simplified series resonant equivalent circuit and voltage transfer function versus normalized operating frequency at varied values of resonant capacitor. The step-up resonant push-pull DC-DC converter was used as design example. The design procedure is based on the principle of the half bridge class-DE resonant rectifier. All power switches are operated under the zero-voltage switching conditions, resulting in higher overall system efficiency. The prototype of resonant DC-DC converter was operated at 62-88 kHz variable frequency, the input voltage of 12-V_(DC), the output voltage of 380-V_(DC) and the output power rated of 150 W. The experimental results have shown that 92.97% efficiency at full power. The experimental results are presented to verify the theoretical analysis.

The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between users’ cognitive style and information seeking. It is to enhance the quality of information presentation and users’ interactions in the Web by adapting their preferences and specific needs. This paper specifically focuses on the use of the Internet by postgraduate engineering students. The sample of this study consists of 50 postgraduate engineering students from the faculty of computer Science and Information system in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The findings of this study reveal the linear relationship between users’ cognitive styles and information seeking.

Knowledge Management (KM) implementation is mainly linked to soft issues such as organizational culture and people. Recently, most organizations are struggling to effectively use KM tools and techniques. Previous study shows that there is a relationship between KM and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). KM, in particular, has been defined as the process of capturing the collective expertise and intelligence in an organization and using them to foster innovation through continued organizational learning whereas obtaining customer-related knowledge is specified as the means to attain CRM objectives. Since a major part of that expertise and intelligence refers to customers, it is concluded that CRM is strongly related to KM and especially to customer knowledge management. CRM is a combination of people, processes and technology that seeks to understand a company's customers. CRM has evolved from advances in information technology and organizational changes in customer centric processes. Managing a successful CRM implementation requires an integrated and balanced approach to technology, processes and people. This paper discuss about the implementation of CRM in Research and Development Centers of Public Universities in Malaysia. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current scenario of CRM implementation Research and Development Centers of Public Universities in Malaysia and what are their challenges in its implementation. This study has conducted the structured interview session with top management of eight public universities. Besides, a questionnaire was distributed to the R & D staffs in those eight public universities. Statistical analysis was carried out on data collected from 40 completed questionnaires. Descriptive analysis and correlation test has been performed to investigate the hypotheses. Dealing with this situation needs to deploy innovative methods and techniques. In this paper, we identify the current heavily used methods for biomedical text mining, their capabilities and developments, some proposed solution and how to evaluate performance. Transformation in procurement technique aims to create a sustainability development and innovative outsourcing strategy. It can increase the probability of project success with quality and give an added value in money and contract times. Wide range of issues should be considered in producing a sincere and trusted decision within respective agencies. Our research proposed a procurement transformation model for selecting the optimal result of contractor selection under multi criteria environments. The corresponding data are centralizing, easy to manage and can be updated accordingly. Fuzzy comparing judgment is used as the method to overcome the ambiguity aspects in selecting significant preferences by decision maker regarding to the subjective opinion. Decision making process is represented by the integration of evaluation model to produce a final result. Finally, the model was tested in tender evaluation processes to determine the most beneficial contractor to perform the construction project.

Improving the network lifetime and saving energy are the performance measurement in designing any Wireless Sensor Network. Clustering the wireless sensor nodes and choosing leader nodes to aggregate the sending data are considered a main way of saving energy and increasing the network lifetime. Many researchers have worked on designing clustering protocols for the Wireless Sensor Network. However, few of the clustering algorithms have studied the numbers of clusters required in each network and the optimal cluster-heads in each cluster. Little of these clustering algorithms consider the energy level of the wireless sensor nodes to determine how many clusters are required in the network and which node should act as the optimal cluster-head of the cluster. In this paper, we have proposed a new technique to determine the number of clusters and choose the best node to be the cluster-heads in the Wireless Sensor Network based on the energy level of the wireless sensor nodes. We have compared this technique with the built-in cluster-tree technique in establishing the network and linking the nodes to each other in the latest sensor standard “ZigBee”. Based on the simulation results, the proposed clustering technique has increased the lifetime of the wireless sensor network by 50% in average comparing with the original lifetime of the cluster-tree network.

Decision support systems (DSS) has remarkably increased in today's competitive business environment. Organizations are aggressively emphasizing on computerized support for building comprehensive automated DSS.
