Three-dimensional (3D) and porous scaffolds made from nanocellulosic materials hold significant potential in tissue engineering (TE). Here, we present a protocol for fabricating self-standing (nano)cellulose-based 3D scaffolds designed for in vitro testing of cells from skin and cartilage tissues. We describe steps for preparation of nanocellulose ink, scaffold formation using 3D printing, and freeze-drying. We then detail post-processing procedures to enhance mechanical properties, stability, and biocompatibility. This protocol offers researchers a framework for developing versatile and sustainable biomaterials for regenerative medicine. Geospatial analysis is useful to calculate and map solar photovoltaic’s (PV) economic potential. However, recent studies do not address PV’s bankable potential for practical implementation and show limitations in (1) potential and input reporting, (2) studied metrics, (3) uncertainty analysis, and (4) policy analysis. To tackle these limitations, we propose a novel framework for utility-scale PV’s bankable potential, which combines geospatial analysis and project finance. The framework involves 20 years of hourly solar electricity production, a debt sizing and cash flow analysis model, and Monte Carlo simulation. We report a conservative technical potential of 9.3 TWpeak and 12.1 PWh/year in Indonesia. Considering expected 2030 demand, PV’s bankable potential is up to 40.8 TWh/year mostly situated in East Indonesia where population and demand are low. PV’s bankability is currently limited by strict loan maturities and low electricity tariffs, and could be improved to up to 232 TWh/year (52% of 2030 demand) via a feed-in tariff of 11.5 US¢(2021)/kWh and a temporary lift of local content for solar panels. Despite their effectiveness, policymakers should be aware of possible side effects of PV policies, e.g. for local coal-based industries and rural communities with limited electricity access. © 2023, The Authors. AI-optimized electrochemical aptasensors are transforming diagnostic testing by offering high sensitivity, selectivity, and rapid response times. Leveraging data-driven AI techniques, these sensors provide a non-invasive, cost-effective alternative to traditional methods, with applications in detecting molecular biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and coronavirus. The performance metrics outlined in the comparative table illustrate the significant advancements enabled by AI integration. Sensitivity increases from 60 to 75 % in ordinary aptasensors to 85–95 %, while specificity improves from 70-80 % to 90–98 %. This enhanced performance allows for ultra-low detection limits, such as 10 fM for carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and 20 fM for mucin-1 (MUC1) using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), and 1 pM for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) with Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV). Similarly, Square Wave Voltammetry (SWV) and potentiometric sensors have detected alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) at 5 fM and epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) at 100 fM, respectively. AI integration also enhances reproducibility, reduces false positives and negatives (from 15-20 % to 5–10 %), and significantly decreases response times (from 10-15 s to 2–3 s). These advancements improve data processing speeds (from 10 to 20 min per sample to 2–5 min) and calibration accuracy (<2 % margin of error compared to 5–10 %), while expanding application scope to multi-target biomarker detection. This review highlights how these advancements position AI-optimized electrochemical aptasensors as powerful tools for personalized treatment, point-of-care testing, and continuous health monitoring. Despite a higher cost ($500-$1,500/unit), their enhanced portability and diagnostic performance promise to revolutionize healthcare, environmental monitoring, and food safety, ultimately improving public health outcomes. © 2024

In agricultural water research, the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged as a pivotal approach for large-scale data collection. Water availability in the context of water quality is very important, both for domestic and industrial purposes. For domestic purposes, drinking water and bathing water are separated. Meanwhile, for the palm oil industry, boiler filler is differentiated from additional process water (dilution water). Water quality parameters can be assessed from turbidity and Total Dissolve Solid (TDS). Measurements using measuring instruments separately and repeatedly require significant energy, time, and costs. This research was conducted with the primary objective of presenting a novel method for categorizing water quality with the approach of IoT sensor technology. The research methodology entailed the utilization of an integrated IoT water sensors system in conjunction with manual water categorization. The methods consist of (1) system design, (2) design and installation of sensor and IoT-based microcontrollers, and (3) accuracy and precision testing compared with laboratory measurements. The precision of the integrated IoT water sensors was assessed through a dedicated sensor precision test, resulting in an accuracy rate of 94.4% for the turbidity sensor and 97.5% for the TDS sensor. Notably, this approach successfully discriminated drinking water with valid categorization, while other water types, including groundwater, water with tea, and water with coffee, yielded null categorization results.

The Learning Disability Assessment system (LeDAS) entails crucial decision making to produce a diagnosis referring to the information inserted by the therapists and parents. In this manner, accuracy of the information system is a pivot to generate an effective system. Research evaluation of LeDAS is necessary due to the fact that it is a recently developed system with over 3,000 patients currently using it thus it is imperative to evaluate the system to measure its usability. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the usability of the developed LeDAS web-based system in order to ensure the system can fulfill the user’s satisfaction and be usable. The conducted survey targets therapists and parents to collect data. The data produced from this study will be used to provide insight into the need of furthering proficiency in generating a satisfactory system. This evaluation analyzed using the descriptive statistic, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), reliability testing and hypothesis testing. The result showed that 5 hypotheses were supported.

The internet-of-Vehicle (IoV) can facilitate seamless connectivity between connected vehicles (CV), autonomous vehicles (AV), and other IoV entities. Intrusion Detection systems (IDSs) for IoV networks can rely on machine learning (ML) to protect the in-vehicle network from cyber-attacks. Blockchain-based Federated Forests (BFFs) could be used to train ML models based on data from IoV entities while protecting the confidentiality of the data and reducing the risks of tampering with the data. However, ML models created this way are still vulnerable to evasion, poisoning, and exploratory attacks using adversarial examples. This paper investigates the impact of various possible adversarial examples on the BFF-IDS. We proposed integrating a statistical detector to detect and extract unknown adversarial samples. By including the unknown detected samples into the dataset of the detector, we augment the BFF-IDS with an additional model to detect original known attacks and the new adversarial inputs. The statistical adversarial detector confidently detected adversarial examples at the sample size of 50 and 100 input samples. Furthermore, the augmented BFF-IDS (BFF-IDS(AUG)) successfully mitigates the adversarial examples with more than 96% accuracy. With this approach, the model will continue to be augmented in a sandbox whenever an adversarial sample is detected and subsequently adopt the BFF-IDS(AUG) as the active security model. Consequently, the proposed integration of the statistical adversarial detector and the subsequent augmentation of the BFF-IDS with detected adversarial samples provides a sustainable security framework against adversarial examples and other unknown attacks. The mobile ticketing service application is a promising technology for an online travel agent in Indonesia. However, its adoption is low and not evenly distributed, this is due to the lack of understanding regarding the use of mobile ticketing. The purpose of this study aims to identify and analyses the structural relationship of the factors influencing user intentions in mobile ticketing, previous research was conducted in Malaysia with different user characteristics and adoption acceleration, in this study adjustments will be made to different characteristics and conditions in Indonesia. This study conducted using the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) Method through the questionnaires’ distributions to 531 respondents using mobile ticketing services in an online travel agent, Indonesia. The study findings suggest that capability and use context that mediated mobility and perceived use significantly affect use intention. This study provides evaluation and recommendations for online travel agent services to increase user intentions and retain mobile ticketing services users.

To improve support system for subjects with respiratory ailments, this work analyses the respiratory patterns from spirometer and surface electromyography (sEMG). The patterns are integrated with risk and biochemical systems model to optimise the clinical decision support system (CDSS). The work considers terminal events for the spirometer and sEMG. The events and their associated patterns are correlated and projected on a hyperspace prior implementing it in decision support system. The proposed method shows that the different characteristics of breathing indicate some essential hidden information which when used as 4D scattered projection, optimises the decision making in CDSS. The analysis shows the effectiveness of bimodal respiratory patterns for different breathing capacities, which is promising for the modelled conditions.

Aiming at the problem of poor task versatility in the strategy learning of complex tasks and cannot be generalized to obstacle environments, a method for robots learning from demonstration based on Dynamic Movement Primitive (DMP) is proposed. This method divides the demonstration task into several subtasks, and uses DMP to model each subtask. We utilize the local weighted regression algorithm to learn the corresponding weight of each subtask. Then the task trajectory is obtained by sequentially combining the generated subtask trajectory. The obstacle avoidance coupling item is added to the DMP framework to generate the obstacle avoidance task trajectory. The UR5 robotic arm is used to perform grasp and place tasks on the simulation platform as a demonstration task to verify the method in this article. © 2020 IEEE.
