In outcome base education, we need to utilize students' feedback as one of the key inputs to determine the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities of a university. Analyzing only rating scores does not reveal the true sentiment of students. Textual comments are more reflected true sentiment of the students. This paper is to implement a feedback analysis system based on rating score and textual comments. We used two types of dataset which include rating scores and textual comments, respectively. K-means clustering algorithm is used to cluster rating scores. Classification models are built with various classification algorithms using labeled dataset that got from clustering step. For textual comment analysis, we used Naïve Bayes classifier to train a model and classify test dataset into negative and positive sentiments using 10-fold cross validation. We also tested the model to classify the unlabeled textual comments. According to experimental results, we found that Support Vector Machine gives the best precision result for rating score classification. For textual comment analysis, Naïve Bayes classifier gives optimum result.

Cyber-Physical systems (CPS) are the new trend to collaborate service among the Internet of Thing (IoT) devices. The principal mechanism is controlling or monitoring by computer-based algorithms and integration among users and devices. Since CPS is a distributed system, communication among devices is strictly essential to realize an integrated service. The current traditional Internet has some issues about inter-connectivity among devices due to Network Address Port Translation (NAPT), different IP standards, etc. As a result, the current system usually employs a client-server model because a server is always accessible from any clients. However, the scalability of the client-server model will reach the limitation due to the enormous number of CPS devices. The authors have designed a new overlay network technology for cyberphysical communication called CYber PHysical Overlay Network over Internet Communication (CYPHONIC). CYPHONIC can provide end-to-end accessibility and IP mobility over IPv4 and IPv6 networks and realizes secure inter-communication among nodes based on Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). This paper designs the detail implementation of the simple prototype system that supports a basic communication mechanism of CYPHONIC. The prototype system consists of a cloud service for an authentification and an end-node management, and an end-node. It also provides the accessibility to IPv4 private networks from the Internet even if a NAPT router blocks incoming packets from the Internet. The evaluation results show that the prototype cloud service can handle increased signaling requests from the end-nodes. © WMSCI 2019 - 23rd World Multi-Conference on systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, Proceedings. LoRa is an ISM-band based LPWAN communication protocol. Despite their wide network penetration of approximately 20 kilometers or higher using lower than 14 decibels transmitting power, it has been extensively documented and used in academia and industry. Although LoRa connectivity defines a public platform and enables users to create independent low-power wireless connections while relying on external architecture, it has gained considerable interest from scholars and the market. The two fundamental components of this platform are LoRaWAN and LoRa PHY. The consumer LoRaWAN component of the technology describes the network model, connectivity procedures, ability to operate the frequency range, and the types of interlinked gadgets. In contrast, the LoRa PHY component is patentable and provides information on the modulation strategy which is being utilized and its attributes. There are now several LoRa platforms available. To create usable LoRa systems, there are presently several technical difficulties to be overcome, such as connection management, allocation of resources, consistent communications, and security. This study presents a thorough overview of LoRa networking, covering the technological difficulties in setting up LoRa infrastructures and current solutions. Several outstanding challenges of LoRa communication are presented depending on our thorough research of the available solutions. The research report aims to stimulate additional research toward enhancing the LoRa Network capacity and allowing more realistic installations.

Diversification of the utilization of orchids is now more widespread with the increasing variety of products that can be accepted by the market so that it becomes a business opportunity. Indonesia has a wealth of high biodiversity, but has not been able to develop it optimally. Factors that affect the growth of anggerek plants such as temperature and soil moisture. To overcome this factor has designed a system that can be helpful as well as inform the condition of temperature and soil moisture in a smartphone device. This system consists of a temperature sensor, soil moisture sensor and IoT application. The experimental results obtained, the system works well can set the water to the pot automatically to keep the temperature and soil moisture stable on the media in the pot. The system is ready for use. © 2018 IEEE.

Online learning expands along with the development of information technology. One model of online education that widely used because it is open and massive today is the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). However, the problems that arise at the MOOC are related to the high drop out rate caused by the lack of motivation of users to complete the course. Various approaches are taken to deal with this, one of which is by utilising elements of the game through gamification and personalisation to understand the factors needed by learners in the learning environment. This research proposes a personalised design through self-determination. The results of the study have implemented on a new Gamified MOOC platform that pays attention to learner personalisation regarding competency, autonomy and relatedness. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper presents a radar target identification of a coated object. Based on the singularity expansion method, poles extracted from the received backscattering signal by using a short-time matrix pencil method were used as the object's signatures for identification. Simulation examples were illustrated in order to study on identification of a coated object. The antenna effect was taken into account and then mitigated by using a calibration technique. In simulations, the PEC sphere object was coated with dielectrics whose thickness was varied in order to investigate the behavior of extracted pole and the commencements of the late-time response of each object's layer. Simulation results showed that extracted poles obtained from the use of a short-time matrix pencil method can identify the PEC object coated with the dielectrics. © 2019 IEEE.

This paper gives an empirical study to estimate the performance of our proposed optimization method called Sperm Swarm Optimization (SSO). The SSO is evaluated frequently with different mathematical benchmark models utilized in the scope of optimization. Various asymmetric parameters and settings are chosen for these benchmark functions. The acquired results are compared with the results of four methods, such as Genetic Algorithms (GA), Parallel Genetic Algorithm (PGA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Accelerated Particle Swarm Optimization (APSO). The outcomes present that the proposed approach outperforms other approaches in terms of quality of result because of using the technique of inherently continuous to update the sperm location. In addition, it uses different types of mutations which are utilized to increase the method convergence. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

The flow field between two tandem buildings will be investigated using PIV technique and the effect of various angles of incoming flow will be described. The 3D model is composed from two blocks of different size arrangement (ratio is 0.6) and it is subjugated to well-developed boundary layer. Experiments are conducted for many vertical and horizontal planes to study statistical features of the flow.

Distributed generation (DG) has significant influence on modern power system performance. Most of DG is integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS) as a part of microgrids (MG) which can operate either on-grid or in islanded mode and combined. This paper gives an example of application of BESS with Photovoltaic (PV) generation system and Flexible AC Transmission system (FACTS) devices in microgrid represented by modified IEEE 37-bus distribution test system. PV generation and BESS have been implemented on the busbar with the lowest voltage value in the system to examine their influence on the voltage stability and profile. Further enhancements have been made implementing FACTS devices.

Computing is a critical driving force in the development of human civilization. In recent years, we have witnessed the emergence of intelligent computing, a new computing paradigm that is reshaping traditional computing and promoting digital revolution in the era of big data, artificial intelligence and internet-of-things with new computing theories, architectures, methods, systems, and applications. Intelligent computing has greatly broadened the scope of computing, extending it from traditional computing on data to increasingly diverse computing paradigms such as perceptual intelligence, cognitive intelligence, autonomous intelligence, and human-computer fusion intelligence. Intelligence and computing have undergone paths of different evolution and development for a long time but have become increasingly intertwined in recent years: intelligent computing is not only intelligence-oriented but also intelligence-driven. Such cross-fertilization has prompted the emergence and rapid advancement of intelligent computing. Intelligent computing is still in its infancy and an abundance of innovations in the theories, systems, and applications of intelligent computing are expected to occur soon. We present the first comprehensive survey of literature on intelligent computing, covering its theory fundamentals, the technological fusion of intelligence and computing, important applications, challenges, and future perspectives. We believe that this survey is highly timely and will provide a comprehensive reference and cast valuable insights into intelligent computing for academic and industrial researchers and practitioners.
