The desire Quality of Service (QoS) of Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) is of growing importance for research and study Long Term Evolution (LTE) is the last step towards the 4th generation of cellular networks. This revolution is necessitated by the unceasing increase in demand for high speed connection on LTE networks particularly for under variable mobility speed for VoIP in the LTE. This paper mainly focuses on performance of VOIP and the impact of resource limitations in the performance of Access Networks particularly important in regions where Internet resources are limited and the cost of improving these resources is prohibitive. By determine rate communication quality, is determined by end to end delay on the communication path, delay variation, packet loss. These performance indicators can be measured and the contribution in the access network can be estimated using simulation tool OPNET Modeler in varying mobility speed of the node. The overall performance of VOIP thus greatly improved significantly by deploying OPNET Modeler. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

In this work, we have performed sensitivity analysis on a large-scale dynamic metabolic network through MATLAB program. Time profile for sensitivity indices have been calculated for each kinetic parameters, based on percentage. The sensitivity analysis has been carried out on dynamic model for Glycolysis, Pentose Phosphate, TCA cycle, Gluconeogenesis, Glycoxylate pathways and Acetate formation of E. coli. The model implicates twenty four dynamic mass balance equations for extracellular glucose and intracellular, thirty kinetic rate expressions represent concentration profiles for whole a model. Each parameter has been scald one by one into 20% for the steady state condition. The former analysis has allowed identification of eight kinetic parameters as the most effective's ones on the complex metabolic network under study.

The multimodal biometric which is a combination of two or more modalities of biometric is able to give more assurance for the securities of some systems. Feature level fusion has been shown to provide higher-performance accuracy and provide a more secure recognition system. In this paper, we propose a feature level fusion of face features which are the physical appearance of a person in image-based and the online handwritten signature features which are the behavioral characteristics of a person in dynamic-based. The problem of high dimensionality of the combined features is overcome by the used of Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) in the feature extraction phase. One challenge in multi modal feature level fusion is to maintain the balance of the features selected between the two modalities, otherwise one modality may outweigh another. In order to address this issue, we propose to perform feature fusion in the feature selection phase. Feature selection using GA with modified fitness function is applied to the concatenated features in order to ensure that only significant and most balanced features are used for classification. Comparison of the performance of the proposed method with other approaches indicates the highest in the recognition accuracy of 97.50%.

This paper presents the experience gained on semantic web service composition technique applied to the bioinformatics domain. Specifically, the approach presented here consists of knowledge retrieval perspective in biological pathway. Semantic web services, annotated with domain ontology are used to describe services for pathway knowledge retrieval for Kyoto Encyclopedia of Gene and Genomes (KEGG) database. Retrieving knowledge can be seen as high level goals and the tasks involved can be decomposed into subtask to achieve the specified goals. We execute the composition of service by treating composition as planning problem using Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) planning system based on Simple Hierarchical Order Planner 2 (SHOP2). The approach for plan (task) decomposition using SHOP2 is implemented in automated way. We investigate the effectiveness of this approach by applying real world scenario in pathway information retrieval for Lactococcus Lactis (L. lactis) organism where biologists need to find out the pathway description from the given specific gene of interest. © 2012 IEEE.

A millions of data has been produce by cross-organizational research and collaborations must be managed, shared and analyzed. Data grid is a useful technique to solve these tasks that applicable to process the large number of data produced by scientific experiments. It also enables an organization to operate and manage distributed resources over the internet as a secure, robust, and flexible infrastructure. Some problems must be considered in managing data grid such as reliability and availability of the data to the user access, network latency, failures or malicious attacks during execution and etc. The replication strategy is the solution to solve these problems that can minimize the time access to the data by creating many replicas and storing replicas in appropriate locations. In this paper, we present some reviews on the existing dynamic replication replacement strategies due to the limited storage used on data grid and also to improve the management of data grid. It is shown that replication techniques able to improve availability and reliability of data, network latency, bandwidth consumption, fault tolerance and etc in data grid environments. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

The cloud is a next generation platform that provides dynamic resource pools, virtualization, and high availability. The concept of cloud computing is using a virtual centralization. This means, in one part, we have a full control on data and processes in his computer. On the other part, we have the cloud computing where the service and data maintenance is provided by vendors. The client or customers usually unaware about the place where processes are running or the data is stored. So, logically speaking, the client has no control over it. This is the reason cloud computing facing so many security challenge. In this paper, we presented selection issues in cloud computing and focus on the security issues. There are four cloud computing security issues that will be focused, namely XML signature, browser security, cloud integrity and binding issues and flooding attacks. Data security on the cloud side is not only focused on the process of data transmission, but also the system security and data protection for those data stored on the storages of the cloud side. There are some considerations that need to be focused in order to achieve better safe environment in cloud computing such as storage and system protection and data protection. In order to achieve better performance in security, cloud computing needs to fulfill five goals which are availability, confidentiality, data integrity, control and audit. By implementing these goals, we hope data security in cloud computing will be more secure. We also hope that cloud computing will have a bright future with arise of a large number of enterprises and will bring an enormous change in the Internet since it is a low-cost supercomputing to provide services. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

Rough set theory provides a methodology for data analysis based on the approximation of information systems. It is revolves around the notion of discernibility i.e. the ability to distinguish between objects based on their attributes value. It allows inferring data dependencies that are useful in the fields of feature selection and decision model construction. Since it is proven that every rough set is a soft set, therefore, within the context of soft sets theory, we present a soft set-based framework for partition attribute selection. The paper unifies existing work in this direction, and introduces the concepts of maximum attribute relative to determine and rank the attribute in the multi-valued information system. Experimental results demonstrate the potentiality of the proposed technique to discover the attribute subsets, leading to partition selection models which better coverage and achieve lower computational time than that the baseline techniques. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

Top-down process improvement approaches provide a high-level model of what the process of a software development organization should be. Such models are based on the consensus of a designated working group on how software should be developed or maintained. They are very useful in that they provide general guidelines on where to start improving, and in which order. However, the majority of them have only worked in scenarios within large companies. We aim to help small software development organizations to adopt an iterative approach by providing a Process Improvement Web-based Tool (SysProVal). This paper presents research into the proposal that a small organization may use this tool to define and implement a set of project management practices that can be strengthened using the CMMI-DEV 1.2 model as reference. One of the issues of fingerprint recognition is finding minutiae or ridges, which involves deciding whether the pixel evaluated is a valid minutiae (ridge ending or ridge bifurcation) or not. Usually, the minutiae are detected in the thinned image which contains a large number of false minutiae and noises. Its may highly decrease the matching performance of the system. This paper proposes an algorithm which is used to eliminate spurious minutiae and non-component of fingerprint features.

Our study uncovers that histogram equalization (HE) - in a striking contrast to it's claim - is not related to enhancement of contrast. To understand this view, we start with real world images which have varying degree of image quality that almost invariably require processing to improve image contrast. For this purpose, histogram equalization including its variants is a frequently relied upon technique. HE processes image by calculating pixel density of its constituent gray levels. This mathematical model, described by HE, is neither linked to contrast nor is contrast directly included in HE equations. Therefore, the study aims to find out the factual nature of transformation functions used by HE. To understand these mathematical calculations thoroughly, the paper dismantles HE into it's building blocks. These blocks are, then, critically analyzed to understand the true relationship between HE fundamentals and contrast. This analysis' determines that HE manipulates density - not contrast - which, in turn, achieves density changes but no contrast enhancement. Hence the study concludes that HE is not a valid contrast enhancement technique.
