Hiding data in video file: An overview

The aim of this review is to study the methods of steganography using the video file as a cover carrier. The steganography is the art of protecting the information through embedding data in medium carrier, for instants this study illustrate historically this art, as well as the study describes methods as a review for this art in the video file. The video based steganography can be used as one video file, separated images in frames or images and audio files. Since that, the use of the video based steganography can be more eligible than other multimedia files. As a result of this study, the video based steganography has been discussed and the advantages of using the video file as a cover carrier for steganography have been proposed. © 2010 Asian Network for Scientific Information.

This paper reports on the outcomes of evaluation recently conducted on Small Medium Enterprises (SME) in Malaysia with respect to a newly developed software Process Improvement model called iSPA. It is conducted based on identified critical success factors for a software project to be successful. Initially, the evaluation investigates on the core process and best practices for a software project management and implementation. It also looks at the feasibility and acceptability of software companies to achieve this model and ended up with a tool development. The evaluation findings indicate the acceptance towards a new SPI methodology and relevance of the prototype tool to mitigate and assist in SPI implementation in an organization.

This paper presents a wideband photonic antenna consisting the laser diode, matching circuit, RF amplifier and microstrip patch antenna are fabricated and connected together to perform in uplink system. Laser driver is used to supply the dc biasing for the laser. Lastly, the LD-matching circuit, RF amplifier and antenna were arrange together and connected to perform the wireless uplink system. The simulated and measured results are presented and discussed. These results show useful photonic antenna design that achieves relatively wide bandwidth and has potential to be applied in RoF technology.

Several similarity measures such as Euclidean Distance, Histogram Intersection, Cosine or Quadratic Distances are usually used to calculate the images similarity rating. However, each of the distances has their own limitations when used in particular situation or application. This paper reports a preliminary study of current similarity measures used based on histogram matching. Few experiments on image and color histograms are also presented and discussed. Images of Oil Palm Fruits are used to estimate for its ripeness. This paper will point out the use of existing similarity measures to find the most suitable and efficient one for that particular application.

Nowadays, we use cryptography keys to secure our communications. One of the common ways for securing data exchanging is via the use of symmetric keys to encipher transmitted data over network. Today's practices for managing keys face many issues in key generation, distribution, and revocation. In this paper we propose interpretative key management method which is simpler than the current practices. Eliminating the need for key storage, the need for key distribution, automatic key revocation, and unique key per session are the main features of the new proposed key management method. Deletion of some steps and replacing some others with new ones helped us to dominate many issues faced with common practices of key management.

Website Personalization is one of strategic technique in delivering services in online applications. A part of process for building personalization applications is to collect particular information from the user which involves information sharing. However, the awareness about privacy concerns and security threats have caused to non-sharing behavior among the Internet Users. This situation have caused website personalization cannot be built to serve its purposes. This paper aims to investigate the people's behavior and to study the propensity of information sharing attitude in two different environments and cultures. The two environments are between real-life and online while the two cultures are between Malaysian and non-Malaysian. Since this is an exploratory study, interview with five (5) persons have been conducted. The qualitative technique that chooses was recommended for any exploratory study. The findings of this study explained the understanding of behaviors and the factors of Information Sharing. The factors are the cultural factors, the platform of sharing and the behavior of information sharing in web personalization. The sharing behavior in two environments and cultures were also compared. The data collected from the interviews have generalizing the speculations and issues in information sharing which have been discussed at the end section of this paper.

The accuracy and efficiency of cost estimation methodology for web-based application is very important for software development as it would be able to assist the management team to estimate the cost. Furthermore, it will ensure that the development of cost is within the planned budget and provides a fundamental motivation towards the development of web-based application project. The literature review reveals that COCOMO II provides accurate result because more variables are considered including reuse parameter. The parameter is one of the essential variables in estimating the cost in web-based application development. This research investigates the feasibility to combine and implement COCOMO II and expert judgment technique in a tool called WebCost. In estimating a cost, the tool considers all variables in COCOMO II and requires expert judgment to key-in the input of the variables such as project size, project type, cost adjustment factor and cost driven factor. Developed in JAVA, WebCost is proven able to estimate cost and generate its estimation result. The usability evaluation conducted had shown that WebCost is usable when compared with other tools, it has its own advantages. WebCost is evidence suitable for everyone especially the project managers, software practitioners or software engineering student in handling the cost estimation tasks.

Traffic congestion is the cause of pollution and economic loss. The Real time traffic state report can alleviate this problem by assisting drivers for route planning and choosing unblocked roads. More traffic information could lead to more accurate route planning and greater awareness of traffic situations and road conditions for drivers. However, investment into sensor infrastructure for small minor roads is rarely available. In this paper, we present a cost efficient approach to compute real time traffic congestion degrees for non-sensor infrastructure roads, such as small minor roads, based on context fusion and context reasoning method. Our framework intends to utilize real time acquirable context instead of relying on traffic sensory data which made our approach suitable for insufficient sensor infrastructure environment. The evaluation throughout several experimentations conducted in Bangkok has proven the feasibility of our approach. Besides, the experimental result indicated that the methodology of our experiment can be used as an alternative cost efficient tool for infrastructure investment decision making. ©2010 IEEE.
