Lane detection embedded in intelligent vehicles can greatly improve the security of automatic driving. This work offers a new approach towards lane detection in the video in real-time combining multi-feature fusion and window searching. As the pre-procession, polygon filling is adopted to locate ROI (Region of Interest) in the video frames, which contain the lane-lines to be detected. To remove the backgrounds in the ROIs, we extract and fuse the features of color, histogram, and gradient of line lanes. Based on the density distribution of the pixels in the line lanes, the initial location is found by homography transformation. Then all candidate pixel points in the whole lane-line are extracted in the way of window searching. Finally, On the basis of the obtained lane-mark coordinates, a curve model is defined, and the model parameters are obtained by Least Square Estimation (LSE). Experimental results show the robustness and instantaneity of the proposed algorithm with the accuracy of 96% and the detecting time of only 20.7ms. With the rapid growth of renewable energy in the power system and the implementation of large-capacity LCC-HVDC projects, the frequency support capability of the grid has been reduced. Simultaneously, the renewables-rich grid faces the risk of high-power shocks due to LCC-HVDC blocking. Existing centralized, single-measure approaches and the model-based emergency frequency control (EFC) methods are facing tremendous challenges. To fill this gap, this paper proposes a frequency emergency control method for renewables-rich grids that coordinates LCC-HVDC emergency power support and load shedding. The coordination of the two stabilization measures is modeled as a decentralized partially observable Markov decision process, and a multi-agent reinforcement learning (MADRL) approach is employed to optimize the power of measures for each stabilization control substation. An MADRL algorithm that integrates the system frequency response model is developed to overcome the problem of inaccurate evaluation of centralized action value in the MADRL algorithm used for EFC. This approach allows for the global optimization of the distributed coordination strategy through centralized training. The effectiveness and adaptability of the proposed method are demonstrated through simulations of the modified IEEE 39-bus system. © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In recent times, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are broadly utilized in targeted monitoring applications. Traditional target coverage techniques usually consider that environment is known completely and every target is covered by single sensor. However those algorithms are inflexible when the sensor is about to die, that is, lack of energy and therefore target has to be covered with more than a sensor which is termed as n coverage crisis. In general, n coverage problem is energy and time consuming process, as well sensor organization is needed all the time. To resolve this crisis, this work anticipates a n coverage model with VCH-PSO (Virtual Cluster Head based Particle Swarm Optimization and EFLM (Energy management based Fuzzy logic Model) to enlarge the lifetime of WSN. During the search of optimal area coverage, diverse factors like node position, energy consumption, and coverage range of sensors are considered significantly. Simulation was carried out in MATLAB environment and compared with prevailing techniques. The proposed model shows better trade off in terms of network lifetime and time needed for switching between various coverage regions. © 2020 IEEE.

Serious games used in public health for purposes including training, learning, prediction, coaching, diagnostic, rehabilitation and supporting. However, the serious game focuses mainly on user experience and graphical application, but less attention on applying artificial intelligence (AI). By enhancing artificial intelligence, it will have the capability to solve issues, especially in the field of public health. This article discussed a review of the use of artificial intelligence in a serious game for public health. The main idea of this paper is to gather all the related articles and create a trend analysis of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a serious game for public health. The related articles were applied to Artificial intelligence (AI) in the area of decision-making. The final section discussed the new trend and the future of Artificial intelligence using current AI techniques.

The primary challenge in tracing the participants in sports and marathon video or images is to detect and localize the jersey/Bib number that may present in different regions of their outfit captured in cluttered environment conditions. In this work, we proposed a new framework based on detecting the human body parts such that both Jersey Bib number and text is localized reliably. To achieve this, the proposed method first detects and localize the human in a given image using Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD). In the next step, different human body parts namely, Torso, Left Thigh, Right Thigh, that generally contain a Bib number or text region is automatically extracted. These detected individual parts are processed individually to detect the Jersey Bib number/text using a deep CNN network based on the 2-channel architecture based on the novel adaptive weighting loss function. Finally, the detected text is cropped out and fed to a CNN-RNN based deep model abbreviated as CRNN for recognizing jersey/Bib/text. Extensive experiments are carried out on the four different datasets including both bench-marking dataset and a new dataset. The performance of the proposed method is compared with the state-of-the-art methods on all four datasets that indicates the improved performance of the proposed method on all four datasets. © 2019 IEEE.

software institutions recently implement more than one software process model in order to achieve a high value in their products and services. The challenges of implementing several quality models are increasing the risk of Multi-Model Environment (MME) failure and more resources are needed to support the MME. This kind of resources is not available in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), especially in Sudanese institutions. This study aims to provide a solution by encouraging the Sudanese SMEs to apply software models in their software development processes. We are seeking to make these institutions understand how to integrate product quality models with software process improvement models. To achieve this goal, we used a systematic harmonization technique to harmonize and map ISO/IEC 25010 standard onto Capability Maturity Model Integrity (CMMI) Dev 1.3 level 2 and 3. Also, we reviewed the related works of the previous studies on MMEs to achieve better results. The results show some of the processes and activities of CMMI Dev 1.3 considering software quality attributes on the early stage of the software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). On the other hand, we presented how to apply the mapped models and suggest a tool for implementation. This kind of approach gives small organizations the ability to apply multi SPI models. © 2019 IEEE.

Parameter reduction has a significant role in making precision decisions. Several decisions making researches mine Boolean soft set with defined operations such as AND, OR, union and intersection to utilize their thinking in rough set theory for reducing parameters. Discovering false frequent sets in a soft set takes the right direction for parameter reduction. In this study, the false parameters of multi set are filtered for decision making based on decision partition order or the decision partition order can be configured predefined based on priority. The most important AND intersection results confirm the two sets relations that whether the extensions of original maps the original set characteristics. This contribution enhanced objects decision partition (Herawan et al. in Int J Database Theory Appl 3(2), 2010 [1]) from a multi set for constructing AND and OR filters with the help of decision partition order and then the decision partition order enhanced using user’s priority, and it shows better results in terms of objects reduction. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2019.

This paper overcome the false parameters from soft set which focuses on original decision partitions order whereas in some cases the decision partition order not induced original set extensions or the reductions of original set maybe not significant. Based on the priority the decision partition order can be constructed to match whether the sub set is the core of optimal decision or deciding for removing a particular sub set if their complement decision partition order status is match the original classifications. The proposed method has successfully maintained the optimal and sub optimal result. This method overcome the false parameters because it directly forwarded to reduction set. It has been validated that it is effective for parameter reduction even in large sub sets. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2019.

The outcome of the reduction of soft data is dependent on the quality and discount evidence that increases with optimization analysis. There is a set of techniques that can be used to reduce the data, but the different techniques showed different results as each technique is focused on solving a particular problem. This paper proposed a parameter reduction algorithm, known as 3C algorithm, to circumvent the false frequent object in reduction. Results indicated that the proposed algorithm is easy to implement and perform better than the state-of-the-art parameter reduction algorithm. Also, the proposed algorithm can be used as an effective alternative method for reducing parameters in order to enhance the decision-making process based on decision partition order. Comparative analysis were performed between the proposed algorithm and the state-of-the-art parameter reduction algorithm using several soft set in terms of parameter reduction. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2019.
