This paper proposes an application of a recent nature inspired optimization technique namely Moth-Flame Optimization (MFO) algorithm in solving the Economic Dispatch (ED) problem. In this paper, the practical constraints will be included in determining the minimum cost of power generation such as ramp rate limits, prohibited operating zones and generators operating limits. To show the effectiveness of proposed algorithm, two case systems are used: 6-units and 15-units systems and then the performance of MFO is compared with other techniques from literature. The results show that MFO is able to obtain less total cost than those other algorithms. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

Many organizations that have the global software development (GSD) projects use communication technologies to connect their virtual teams. However, the virtual team faces various challenges and issues in the process of the GSD. One of the significant challenges is obtaining an efficient communication among team members. This study focuses on the communication factors among the virtual teams highlighted in the literature. The communication factors are related to the temporal distances, geographical distances, socio-cultural, access to training, technological problems that hindering communications, the communication within the status of development process, personal communication skills and language differences. The objective of this study is to examine the communication factors and identify the related issues which are commonly occurring between the virtual teams in the global software development. A survey was conducted in different sectors. The findings indicate that some of important points related to the communication factors contribute to the success of the GSD. © 2018 IEEE.

Treating people with ill health is a major problem in developed and underdeveloped countries. Most of these countries allocate a considerable portion of their budgets to ensuring that their citizens are healthy. However, countries remain unable to meet the demand for ideal medical services of their citizens because of the shortage of medical expertise in various hospitals. Medical diagnosis systems have been widely applied to diagnosing the symptoms of diseases such as cancer and diabetes. However, the analysis tools and methods are insufficient for identifying hidden relationships in the symptoms of coronary heart disease（CHD）. Consequently, the ratio of people who suffer from this disease is growing rapidly;12 million deaths each year are attributed to CHD. Meanwhile, the complex interdependency on various symptoms of this ailment indicates the difficulties in diagnosing CHD at an early stage. Furthermore, the diagnosis of CHD is a complex task that requires precision and effectiveness. Doctors do not have adequate time to devote to each case and encounter difficulties in keeping abreast of the newest application developments. Many alternative methods have been suggested for medical diagnosis in the healthcare domain. However, evaluating the functionality of CHD diagnosis systems remains challenging. Therefore, this study aims to develop a system that diagnoses CHD via fuzzy logic and evaluate the functionality of the proposed diagnostic CHD system. This study contributes to the healthcare domain as the developed system can assist doctors in accurately diagnosing when CHD symptoms have an ambiguous relationship. Therefore, the developed system will decrease doctors’ workloads during consultations.

Generation and application of constrained interaction test suites using base forbidden tuples with mixed neighborhood tabu search

To ensure the quality of current highly configurable software systems, intensive testing is needed to test all the configuration combinations and detect all the possible faults. This task becomes more challenging for most modern software systems when constraints are given for the configurations. Here, intensive testing is almost impossible, especially considering the additional computation required to resolve the constraints during the test generation process. In addition, this testing process is exhaustive and time-consuming. Combinatorial interaction strategies can systematically reduce the number of test cases to construct a minimal test suite without affecting the effectiveness of the tests. This paper presents a new efficient search-based strategy to generate constrained interaction test suites to cover all possible combinations. The paper also shows a new application of constrained interaction testing in software fault searches. The proposed strategy initially generates the set of all possible t − tuple combinations;then, it filters out the set by removing the forbidden t − tuples using the base forbidden tuple (BFT) approach. The strategy also utilizes a mixed neighborhood tabu search (TS) to construct optimal or near-optimal constrained test suites. The efficiency of the proposed method is evaluated through a comparison against two well-known state-of-the-art tools. The evaluation consists of three sets of experiments for 35 standard benchmarks. Additionally, the effectiveness and quality of the results are assessed using a real-world case study. Experimental results show that the proposed strategy outperforms one of the competitive strategies, ACTS, for approximately 83% of the benchmarks and achieves similar results to CASA for 65% of the benchmarks when the interaction strength is 2. For an interaction strength of 3, the proposed method outperforms other competitive strategies for approximately 60% and 42% of the benchmarks. The proposed strategy can also

The article proposes a method that allows to solve the complex combinatorial problem of structural optimization of an artificial neural network with a large dimension of the space of optimization parameters using the stochastic mutation function with a constant coefficient of variation. A study on assessment of applicability of this approach to solve the problem is given. This method is proposed to be used for the forecasting of time series values.

The process of reengineering business processes, in our opinion, is an iterative procedure in the process of enterprise management. Each subsequent business process in the business process chain is a logical continuation of the previous one. The reengineering procedure is characterized by the presence of some feedback about the impact of each individual business process on the overall set of business processes. During the implementation of reengineering, traditional business approaches may undergo revision. Often, many business rules need to be improved and are outdated. The use of public-private partnerships, in our opinion, can be considered as elements of reengineering, since partnerships with the state can open up new business development prospects for an enterprise, and many business processes used at this enterprise can be rethought and updated. The production of high-quality and high-performance agricultural machinery can be of great importance for solving the problem of ensuring food security of the state. The use of various forms of public-private partnership allows us to speed up the solution of this problem. The implementation of economic modernization requires the full use of the economic potential of the state. This can be achieved only if public-private partnerships are effectively implemented, since they allow combining the resources of the state and private business to achieve common goals.

Nowadays, the h-index is an index that attempts to measure both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar. The index is based upon the set of the scientist's most cited papers and the number of citations that they have received in other publications. Besides, the most commonly used measure of journal quality is Impact Factor. This is a number which attempts to measure the impact of a journal in terms of the average number of citations to recent articles published in the journal. So, receiving more citation is very important for authors and journals to get high h-index and impact factor. In this paper, we tried to analyses the effect of the number of available version from the web on receive more citations. We analyzed 10162 papers which are published in Scopus database in year 2010. Cognitive Computing (CC) is a contemporary field of fundamental intelligence theories and general AI technologies triggered by the transdisciplinary development in intelligence, computer, brain, knowledge, cognitive, robotic, and cybernetic sciences for engineering implementations. This paper presents a summary of the plenary panel (Part II) on the theoretical foundations of CI/CC and recent breakthroughs in AI engineering reported in the 20th IEEE International ICCI*CC Conference (ICCI*CC'21). The latest advances in CI and CC towards general AI are presented by twenty-two distinguished panelists. Strategic AI engineering applications in CI, CC, and cognitive systems are elaborated for abstract intelligence, cognitive robots, autonomous systems, intelligent vehicles, and safety-and-mission-critical systems.

Prioritized process test: An alternative to current process testing strategies

Testing processes and workows in information and Internet of Things systems is a major part of the typical software testing effort. Consistent and efficient path-based test cases are desired to support these tests. Because certain parts of software system workows have a higher business priority than others, this fact has to be involved in the generation of test cases. In this paper, we propose a Prioritized Process Test (PPT), which is a model-based test case generation algorithm that represents an alternative to currently established algorithms that use directed graphs and test requirements to model the system under test. The PPT accepts a directed multigraph as a model to express priorities, and edge weights are used instead of test requirements. To determine the test-coverage level of test cases, a test-depth-level concept is *** compared the presented PPT with five alternatives (i.e., the Process Cycle Test, a naive reduction of test set created by the Process Cycle Test, Brute Force algorithm, Set-covering Based Solution and Matching-based Prefix Graph Solution) for edge coverage and edge-pair coverage. To assess the optimality of the path-based test cases produced by these strategies, we used fourteen metrics based on the properties of these test cases and 59 models that were created for three real-world systems. For all edge coverage, the PPT produced more optimal test cases than the alternatives in terms of the majority of the metrics. For edge-pair coverage, the PPT strategy yielded similar results to those of the alternatives. Thus, the PPT strategy is an applicable alternative, as it reects both the required test coverage level and the business priority in parallel. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.
