The share measure has been proposed as an important measure for mining association rules. The value of share itemsets provides useful information such as total profits and total customer purchased quantities associated with itemsets in database. The share-frequent itemsets mining problems become a very important research issue in data mining. Existing share-frequent itemsets mining algorithms are based on static database so knowledge must be rebuilded when the minimum share threshold is changed or database is modified either appended or updated. This paper proposes a novel BitTable knowledge for incremental and interactive share-frequent itemsets mining in multiple minimum share thresholds without rebuilding BitTable knowledge. It is effective for incremental and interactive mining to take advantage of the previous BitTable knowledge and the previous mining results.

The one strong point of XML is that it allows document owners to create their own structure and tag names. It might be that some XML documents contain the same information but use a different structure and/or tag names that have the same meaning but in different words. It will be difficult not only to search all relevant information in one query but also to use exchanged information right away. If the sender and receiver use different formats of XML, then either the sender or receiver has to reformat his XML. The best way to make searching and/or exchanging information easier is to ensure that all XML documents are in the same format. XML Tag Recommendation (XTR) is introduced to support this idea. XTR is based on case-based reasoning framework. It collects the most used tag name as a solution for future use. When you insert a new problem to XTR, it finds the most similar case and recommends the solution from that case to the XML document owner. The XML document owner can change his document format into the recommended solution format. Thus, the XML documents are in the same format. This makes searching and/or exchanging information more powerful.

In this study, we introduces a classification approach using Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP)with Back-Propagation learning algorithm and a feature selection algorithm along with biomedical test values to diagnose heart disease. Clinical diagnosis is done mostly by doctor's expertise and experience. But still cases are reported of wrong diagnosis and treatment. Patients are asked to take number of tests for diagnosis. In many cases, not all the tests contribute towards effective diagnosis of a disease. Our work is to classify the presence of heart disease with reduced number of attributes. Original, 13 attributes are involved in classify the heart disease. We use Information Gain to determine the attributes which reduces the number of attributes which is need to be taken from patients. The Artificial neural networks is used to classify the diagnosis of patients. Thirteen attributes are reduced to 8 attributes. The accuracy differs between 13 features and 8 features in training data set is 1.1% and in the validation data set is 0.82%.

As modern software systems operate in a highly dynamic context, they have to adapt their behaviour in response to changes in their operational environment or/and requirements. Triggering adaptation depends on detecting quality of service (QoS) violations by comparing observed QoS values to predefined thresholds. These threshold-based adaptation approaches result in late adaptations as they wait until violations have occurred. This may lead to undesired consequences such as late response to critical events. In this paper we introduce a statistical approach CREQA - Control Charts for the Runtime Evaluation of QoS Attributes. This approach estimates at runtime capability of a system, and then it monitors and provides early detection of any changes in QoS values allowing timely intervention in order to prevent undesired consequences. We validated our approach using a series of experiments and response time datasets from real world web services.

Nowadays, high or upper level of some business and operative management need to know how the performance of the staff. In addition, the human performances can be measured through its quantitative elements in order to obtain its qualitative measurement. Annual Work Target Evaluation System (AWTES) is a system that can be used to measure the human performance, thus an organization's target in some area of its business can be monitored too. Currently, faculty of computer System & software engineering (FCSSE) deploys a system where it can evaluate the performance of the staff. However, the higher level management cannot view the progress on the results in more effective ways such as via the graph or chart. Therefore, the development of AWTES is necessary to predict and monitor the organization performance using generated graph so that their performance are more effective to be view by the high level management. The methodology that is implied in the project development is the Iterative and Incremental Development Methodologies. This prototype has 6 modules and able to evaluate the performance based on quantitative elements which can be set by the user. AWTES is developed by using the Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and NetServer. By using AWTES, it helps the management of the department to know the performance of their staff and furthermore improves an organization performance.

The ground states of some many-body quantum systems can serve as resource states for the one-way quantum computing model, achieving the full power of quantum computation. Such resource states are found, for example, in spin-52 and spin-32 systems. It is, of course, desirable to have a natural resource state in a spin-12, that is, qubit system. Here, we give a negative answer to this question for frustration-free systems with two-body interactions. In fact, it is shown to be impossible for any genuinely entangled qubit state to be a nondegenerate ground state of any two-body frustration-free Hamiltonian. What is more, we also prove that every spin-12 frustration-free Hamiltonian with two-body interaction always has a ground state that is a product of single- or two-qubit states. In other words, there cannot be any interesting entanglement features in the ground state of such a qubit Hamiltonian.

Concurrent adoption of software engineering process improvement frameworks have been widely practiced by the software organizations. The software development organizations leverage these frameworks to better address process improvement challenges. This paper develops an integrated framework for software engineering process improvement practices and unifies the theories in process definition and establishment. The unified framework provides a set of formal descriptions for software engineering process improvement frameworks. Requirements and architectures for software engineering process improvement frameworks are investigated. The main challenge in the integration is the interoperability of the frameworks. Inaccurate integration approach results in inefficiency of the integration process. Common interoperability issues in the integration of current process models and methodologies are addressed. In addition to this, omissions, differences and gaps can be identified and further examined for development of new unified framework. Taxonomy for software engineering process framework is used to support the understanding and comparison of diverse software quality frameworks. The taxonomy should be based on discipline-specific framework. Besides, other alternative approaches for comparing the software engineering process improvement framework are presented. The research outcome is expected to identify the structural relationships among the frameworks. Derivation from the taxonomy includes characteristics and categories of attributes tailored to the discipline-specific framework.

software project success depends on various reasons including project control, software standards and procedures. software development organizations realize the importance of using best practices to improve software development practices. An increasing number of literature have described about process improvement best practices and standards. Formal process improvement frameworks have emerged widely to promote the use of systematic processes for software engineering. These approaches identify best practices for managing software engineering quality. They provide methods for assessing an organization's process maturity level and capability. In this article, recent process improvement best practices and standards are presented. Its objective is to analyze the existing approaches towards software process improvement initiatives. Another objective is to determine the issues related to adoption of process improvement and standards. The research outcome is to obtain the significant process improvement issues and formulate a classification of generic steps for process improvements.

Lack of hearing ability hinders deaf children from mastering grammar in language studies. Unfortunately, such software targeting Malay language is limited. This paper attempts to generate new approach in handling such software. These include detection of defects when switching into local languages, date format and accommodating the local laws. The acceptance of international software for local use goes beyond just these aspects. For this purpose, software that supports the multi-languages is evaluated. The main research question of this paper: The lack of cultural dimensions in localisation testing of assistive technology decreases the effectiveness of localisation testing of the localised software. On the account of cultural dimensions, Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions will be experimented to study which cultural dimensions are most suited for such software. From our empirical results, the failure rate of the testing is higher compared to incorporating culture dimensions.

Reducing network congestion by separating nets of single-row networks into layers

Single-row routing is a method for routing pair of nodes set in a single-row axis. The nets construct the wire without traverse each other in the printed circuit board design that has been drawn from left to right. The main purpose in single-row routing is to achieve the optimal results of minimum congestion arise from the number of horizontal tracks in the network. Optimal results for a single layer network have been achieved through a model called Enhanced Simulated Annealing Single-row Routing (ESSR). However, a single layer model suffers from non-tolerable lower bound values with high congestion depending on the network size. These results may further be improved by partitioning the network into two or more layers. In this paper, a technique for partitioning the nodes from a single-row network into several layers of planar graphs by using k-means algorithm has been proposed. The experiment result shows that the proposed technique is able to minimize the network congestions.
