For the microwave oscillator with cylindrical dielectric resonator based on transistor structures two versions of electric circuit and construction were developed and researched. The oscillator operates according to compensation of active losses in a dielectric cylindrical resonator by the negative differential resistance of transistor structures. Experimental studies have shown that both versions of the microwave oscillator generate oscillations with the frequency of 10.25 GHz and amplitudes of 700..750 mV and 280..300 mV, respectively. The frequency and phase noise levels are -50 dB, -45 dB, and -39 dB when adjusted from the generation frequency to 120 kHz, 150 kHz, and 180 kHz, respectively. The long-term relative frequency instability is 2.2·10 -6 1/°C.

In software-defined networks(SDNs),controller placement is a critical factor in the design and planning for the future Internet of Things(IoT),telecommunication,and satellite communication *** research has concentrated largely on factors such as reliability,latency,controller capacity,propagation delay,and energy ***,SDNs are vulnerable to distributed denial of service(DDoS)attacks that interfere with legitimate use of the *** ever-increasing frequency of DDoS attacks has made it necessary to consider them in network design,especially in critical applications such as military,health care,and financial services networks requiring high *** propose a mathematical model for planning the deployment of SDN smart backup controllers(SBCs)to preserve service in the presence of DDoS *** a number of input parameters,our model has two distinct ***,it determines the optimal number of primary controllers to place at specific locations or nodes under normal operating ***,it recommends an optimal number of smart backup controllers for use with different levels of DDoS *** goal of the model is to improve resistance to DDoS attacks while optimizing the overall cost based on the *** simulated results demonstrate that the model is useful in planning for SDN reliability in the presence of DDoS attacks while managing the overall cost.

In this work a local database of the Microsoft SQL Server type to store meteorological data for any region received from the Internet was designed and implemented. Each of the tables has fields describing the weather conditions necessary to solve the problem determining the source of electricity, using of which is cost-effective in a given period of the year, time of day, geographical location and weather conditions. A database application in C # using the Windows Forms Application template was developed. The distribution of temperature indicators depending on the time of the studies for a certain period using cluster analysis was implemented. © 2020 IEEE.

To provide K-12 students with an understanding of AI’s potential opportunities and challenges, AI education has been incorporated into the technology curriculum. Most existing methods for assessing students’ AI literacy rely on self-assessment questionnaires, which may not offer an objective measure of their understanding. This study, therefore, sought to develop and validate a 25 -item multiple-choice test tailored for Hong Kong secondary school students to gauge their AI literacy. A total of 144 students from six secondary schools participated in a pilot test. Item Response Theory (IRT) incorporating a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm, was developed to estimate the difficulty and discrimination indices of test items. The 3-Parameter Logistic (3-PL) model was selected for its effectiveness in providing a more nuanced understanding of item characteristics. Preliminary analysis suggested that the test warrants further revision and enhancement, as evidenced by a Kuder-Richardson Formula 20 (KR-20) reliability coefficient of 0.68. Nonetheless, all test items exhibited satisfactory discrimination capabilities, indicating their proficiency in differentiating among varying levels of respondent aptitude. Thus, this study can provide a foundation for developing a standardized AI literacy test in the future.

Learning contextual and spatial environmental representations enhances autonomous vehicle’s hazard anticipation and decision-making in complex scenarios. Recent perception systems enhance spatial understanding with sensor fusion but often lack full environmental context. Humans, when driving, naturally employ neural maps that integrate various factors such as historical data, situational subtleties, and behavioral predictions of other road users to form a rich contextual understanding of their surroundings. This neural map-based comprehension is integral to making informed decisions on the road. In contrast, even with their significant advancements, autonomous systems have yet to fully harness this depth of human-like contextual understanding. Motivated by this, our work draws inspiration from human driving patterns and seeks to formalize the sensor fusion approach within an end-to-end autonomous driving framework. We introduce a framework that integrates three cameras (left, right, and center) to emulate the human field of view, coupled with top-down bird-eye-view semantic data to enhance contextual representation. The sensor data is fused and encoded using a self-attention mechanism, leading to an auto-regressive waypoint prediction module. We treat feature representation as a sequential problem, employing a vision transformer to distill the contextual interplay between sensor modalities. The efficacy of the proposed method is experimentally evaluated in both open and closed-loop settings. Our method achieves displacement error by 0.67m in open-loop settings, surpassing current methods by 6.9% on the nuScenes dataset. In closed-loop evaluations on CARLA’s Town05 Long and Longest6 benchmarks, the proposed method enhances driving performance, route completion, and reduces infractions. © 2022, CC BY.

Biometric-based digital door locking system plays a significant role in providing authentication, reducing the workforce in smart homes, and building automation scenarios. This paper proposes a prototype model of an IoT-based Smart Door Locking System (SDLS) with reliable double-access authentication. The IoT and biometric technology authentication mechanism is adopted to make SDLS more secure and reachable with the alert mechanism on unauthorized access. The SDLS contains a biometric scanner, and a thumb impression is made either from a mobile or a biometric-mounted device on the door and both are connected to the centralized cloud-hosted real-time database. The proposed system was tested in real-time and has shown competitive results compared to other Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) and password-based door locks. Hence, the overall performance efficiency of SDLS is satisfactory and provides biometric-based remote access to control and monitor door locks with the alert system on unauthorized access.

The method of non-destructive control of the molecular structure of solid materials is improved, the distinguishing feature of which is a new sign of suitability for the peak values of the thermodynamic process in solid materials, which made it possible to increase the reliability of the non-destructive control. A statistical norm for deciding on the suitability of solid materials was introduced, which made it possible to organize statistical express control of solid materials under conditions of industrial production of electronic devices. In the practical plan, a structural scheme and an algorithm for measuring control of the peak values of the differential-thermal analysis of solid materials are proposed, on the basis of which a microprocessor based device for statistical express control is developed. © 2019, Trans Tech Publications Ltd. This proposed research is concerned with the development of a Semantic Web representation of supply chains deploying and manufacturing semiconductors. The so-called digital twin is a prototype for virtualizing the electronic component supplier (ECS) value chain, aiming for a holistic digitalization across the entire product life cycle. With its unique advantages, Semantic Web will contribute to overcoming current Big Data issues and to getting one step closer to smart factories. This includes enhanced smart collaboration between both business and project partners. Motivated by current sharing in power networks, we consider a class of output consensus (also called agreement) problems for nonlinear systems, where the consensus value is determined by external disturbances, e.g., power demand. This output consensus problem is solved by a simple distributed output feedback controller if a system is either Krasovskii or shifted passive, which is the only essential requirement. Digitization within the framework of Industry 4.0 is considered the biggest and fastest driver of change in history of manufacturing industry. While the size of a company is becoming less essential, the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and new technologies is more important than ever. This trend particularly applies to the companies' software landscapes, where individual sub-processes and services must be orchestrated, seamlessly integrated, and iteratively renewed according to the ever-increasing user requirements. However, inflexible, closed monolithic software applications as well as self-programmed stand-alone tools that are difficult to integrate are still predominant in the engineering domain. A complete reimplementation of existing, proprietary engineering tools and their integration into monolithic applications of large software providers is often not economically feasible, especially for small and medium-sized machinery and plant manufacturers. In this context, the so-called Process-Driven Approach (PDA) offers a sustainable and tool-neutral opportunity for process and tool orchestration, enabling an easy integration of individual software applications by consistent utilization of the separation of concerns principle. The PDA, originating from business informatics, is mainly based on the standardized and machine-executable visual modeling language Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). Using the semantic enhancements found in version 2.0, BPMN is not just used to model the business processes but also to model and execute the integration processes between different systems. After the PDA has already been successfully applied to large-scale projects in business informatics, it is now being transferred to the engineering domain.
