Nowadays, many technical devices are controlled by logic circuits. These circuits evaluate the situation based on the proposed truth functions, which they then use to perform one of the defined actions. In line with the increasing complexity of individual technical devices, the logic circuits and truth functions are also increasingly complex. For this reason, it makes sense to minimise these functions since they can thereby achieve a simpler technological process and the higher reliability of whole logic systems. This paper describes the Karnaugh Studio application, which resolves the minimisation of these truth functions - and was developed at our faculty (FAI, TBU in Zlín). The minimisation is performed using the Karnaugh Map Method - with support for up to eight variables on input. The application is based on the C++ programming language and the Dear ImGui and Magick++ libraries. Its functionality has been verified on a number of examples. This proved its applicability and ability to be used in the solution of logic circuits in industrial practice. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This work presents the application of a planar microstrip metamaterial (MM)- motivated sensor in the form of a split-ring resonator (SRR) for the detection and quantification of water adulteration in honey samples. The proposed sensor utilizes inexpensive software-defined radio (SDR) measurements, offering a cost-effective solution. Unlike previous MM sensors employing SRR configuration, our proposed MM-motivated sensor is integrated with a microstrip feedline and an additional vertical bar, enhancing its sensing capability. To enable accurate measurements, a simple calibration procedure based on baseline normalization is implemented, allowing for amplitude-only transmission measurements (|S21|) using the SDR. A special sample holder was designed to increase repeatability of measurements. We separately employ two post-processing techniques, namely the rolling average (RA) approach and the Savitzky-Golay (SG) filter, to effectively eliminate ripples in the measured |S21| data obtained from the SDR. For validation and evaluation of the proposed sensor and post-processing techniques, measurements of flower honey samples with water adulteration levels (δ) up to 10% (mass-to-mass basis) were also performed using a vector network analyzer. The resonance frequency of |S21| is utilized as the basis for analysis. We establish a metric function (linear function) that correlates the shift in resonance frequency with the δ. It is observed that this function fits to measured resonance frequency values with an R2 value greater than 0.96 for both post-processing techniques with or without the sample holder. By inverting this function, we can predict δ with considerable accuracy for a given resonance frequency by using another linear function. It is observed that percentage variations between predicted and measured δ values are between 1.54% and 6.46% for testing samples with δ = 5% and δ = 7%. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

A Josephson junction (JJ) based on high critical-temperature superconductors described by a linear resistive–capacitive–inductance shunted junction (LRCLSJ) model with unharmonic current-phase relation (UCPR) is theoretically and experimentally investigated in this paper. The numerical simulations indicate that JJ based on high critical-temperature superconductors exhibits excitable mode, regular spiking, periodic bursting, relaxation oscillations, chaotic attractors, and coexisting attractors. The theoretical investigations are verified experimentally through the microcontroller implementation. In addition, the coexistence between chaotic and limit cycle attractors found in JJ based on high critical-temperature superconductors is controlled to the desired trajectory using the linear augmentation control method. Finally, analytical calculations and numerical simulations are carried out to show the serviceableness of the two designed single controllers in suppressing chaos in JJ based on high critical-temperature superconductors.

As educating K-12 students about artificial intelligence (AI) gains prominence, the question of which pedagogical approach could promote the learning of AI needs exploration. This study aims to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of learning fundamental AI concepts through online experiential learning. A total of 673 secondary school students participated in a two-day online workshop. A set of pre-and-post questionnaires was applied to assess students' understanding of fundamental AI concepts and their perceptions to learn AI. The results showed the online workshop was effective in improving students’ knowledge of AI and their motivation to learn about it. These findings suggested that the use of online experiential learning approach to learn AI is not only feasible but also appropriate for secondary school students. Furthermore, this study discussed the practical implications of incorporating experiential learning into online learning experience for K-12 students, providing insights into the potential of online workshops as a means of learning AI.

This paper performs a comparative analysis of Android mobile forensics tools which are used for acquisition and analyzing of Android mobile devices. The major challenges of Android forensics investigation are manufacturing of Android devices with various operating system versions and there is no single tool which can be used for all sorts of Android devices. Aiming to overcome these challenges and increase more accuracy and integrity in Android forensic investigation, we made comparative analysis on both open source tools and one commercial tool. Logical and physical acquisition methods were utilized to acquire data from Android devices. Android Debug Bridge backup, Linux Data Duplicator utility tool, Magnet Acquire and Belkasoft Acquisition tools were used for acquisition. Two popular analyzing tools such as Autopsy and Belkasoft Evidence Center were utilized to analyze acquired data. The results show that using multiple tools can get more accuracy and integrity of artifacts which is forensically sound.

In counteraction to the increasing threat of cyber terrorism, the modeling to be predicted in guessing the predictive models for estimating the incidence of cyber-attacks for enterprise network in Myanmar are seriously needed. Although we need these models, there is no record of attacks, defenseless, outcome and threat to utilize the developing predictive models and authentication. The main purpose of this research is to determine whether SOC (Security Operation Center) manager uses cyber security model by using SOC results figures to prepare further cyber defense and incident response plan. The goal of this study was achieved by conducting experiments on various cyber-attacks occurred in security operation center of Industrial Control System (ICS).

Vision Transformers (ViTs) have recently demonstrated remarkable performance in computer vision tasks. However, their parameter-intensive nature and reliance on large amounts of data for effective performance have shifted the focus from traditional human-annotated labels to unsupervised learning and pretraining strategies that uncover hidden structures within the data. In response to this challenge, self-supervised learning (SSL) has emerged as a promising paradigm. SSL leverages inherent relationships within the data itself as a form of supervision, eliminating the need for manual labeling and offering a more scalable and resource-efficient alternative for model training. Given these advantages, it is imperative to explore the integration of SSL techniques with ViTs, particularly in scenarios with limited labeled data. Inspired by this evolving trend, this survey aims to systematically review SSL mechanisms tailored for ViTs. We propose a comprehensive taxonomy to classify SSL techniques based on their representations and pre-training tasks. Additionally, we discuss the motivations behind SSL, review prominent pre-training tasks, and highlight advancements and challenges in this field. Furthermore, we conduct a comparative analysis of various SSL methods designed for ViTs, evaluating their strengths, limitations, and applicability to different scenarios. Stochastic Control for DC–DC Power Converters: A Generalized Minimum Variance Control Approach

This paper proposes a Generalized Minimum Variance (GMV) controller to regulate the output of the DC-DC power converters in order to decrease the impact of the noise in the system performance. The Dual Active Bridge and the Buck converters are used to illustrate the proposed methodology. The proposed controller is designed using the stochastic augmentation methodology that provides a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller, in the Reference Signal Tracking (RST) structure, the ability to adequately treat noise of a stochastic nature. The GMV control reduces the variance of the control signal and in turn leads to a better output characteristic. The simulation results show that the GMV controller achieve better performance in the sense of minimum variance and energy consumption in comparison with a robust PID controller.

Robust Feedback Linearization Control for DAB Converter feeding a CPL

Cascaded converters are used to satisfy the different voltage levels that loads need. Instability problems in cascaded systems may occur due to the interaction of Point-of-Load (POL) converters. POL converters exhibit the important characteristic of almost-perfect regulation at the output terminals independent of the input perturbations. However, such characteristic reflects at the input terminal as a constant power load (CPL). CPL exhibits incremental negative resistance behavior causing undesired oscillations and a high risk of instability in interconnected converters. In this paper, the cascaded converter system consists of a Dual Active Bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter that maintains a regulated DC voltage on the intermediate bus and a POL DC-DC Buck converter that acts as a CPL. Aiming to ensure system stability and effectively mitigate oscillations effects in a cascaded system, this paper proposes a Robust Feedback Linearization Control to regulate the intermediate DC bus voltage. Simulation tests are performed by using a MATLAB/Simulink simulator to show the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed controller. The simulation results show that the proposed control approach ensures robust control performance and stability with a minor performance degradation compared to a Robust Control approach, Feedback Linearization Control approach, and Classical Control approach.
