The authors of this paper propose a block diagram for a dual-operating buffer on a dynamic optical RAM. The buffer consists of two dynamic optical RAMs, each controlled separately to allow for simultaneous writing and reading of data, thereby improving performance. This setup enables data to be read from the buffer while new data is being written to it. Implementing a dual-operating buffer on a dynamic optical RAM has the potential to enhance the performance of high-speed data transmission in telecommunications networks. The authors conducted numerical calculations to compare failure probabilities between single-operation and dual-operation buffers on dynamic optical RAM. The results indicated that using a dual-operating buffer significantly reduces the probability of failure with the same buffer memory capacity compared to a single-operating buffer. Additionally, the authors analyzed the effectiveness of the proposed dual-operating buffer. The analysis confirmed that exploiting dynamic optical memory for buffering enhances data transfer speed and efficiency due to the inherent properties of optical data transfer, such as high bandwidth and low latency. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper various BLE protocols for communication between remote or Android applications and intelligent dual channel (cool and warm white) LED lamps were reverse engineered. Three protocols were fully decoded and several partially. Replay attack is tested and confirmed working. Demo C++ library was developed and a proof-of-concept firmware for esp32 based development board was used to verify the decoding and the attacks applicability. © 2023 IEEE.

An integral part of modern medicine is its technical equipment. The constantly evolving methods of prevention and treatment require ever more stringent and precise characteristics from the equipment that implements these methods. To ensure such characteristics, technical equipment must be constantly updated and improved in line with current technology and trends. Collector-driven DC motors have significant disadvantages, including the need for timely maintenance of the collector-brush unit and limited service life due to collector wear. In recent years, permanent magnet synchronous motors have become more and more common and their design is continually being improved for different applications and their control systems are being improved. The characteristics of these servomotors can easily replace the DC collector motors. In this article, we will give an example of the modernization of a robotic complex for the recovery of walking skills by replacing the installed servomotors. © 2022 IEEE.

Degree of controllability (DOC) characterizes how controllable a given system is and thus quantifying controllability can facilitate the control system synthesis and optimization. In this paper, the controllability of nonlinear input-affine systems and the state-dependent-coefficient (SDC) factorization are first reviewed. A computational procedure based on the scalarization of the controllability Gramian is proposed to quantify the controllability of both system and state variables of the SDC factored system for state-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) control. The simulation of coordinate satellite control is carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed DOC criterion. It is shown that SDC-parameterized models with higher DOC can promote the performance of the SDRE control algorithm. © 2022 IEEE.

LoRa technology contributes to green energy by enabling efficient,long-range communication for the Internet of Things(IoT).This paper addresses the challenges related to coverage range in outdoor monitoring systems utilizing LoRa,where the network performance is affected by the density of gateways(GWs)and end devices(EDs),as well as environmental *** mitigate interference,data throughput losses,and high-power consumption,the proposed spreading factor(SF)and hybrid(data rate|SF)models dynamically adjust the transmission *** orchestration of concurrent data modifications within the network server(NS)is crucial for uninterrupted communication between GWs and EDs,especially in monitoring electric vehicle(EV)stations to reduce traffic congestion and *** K-means and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN)algorithms optimizes ED allocation,averts data congestion,and improves the signal-tointerference noise ratio(SINR).These methods ensure seamless information reception by meticulously allocated EDs across various GW *** estimate the free-space losses(FSL),a log-distance path loss model(log-PL)is *** various bandwidths(BWs),bidirectional communications,and duty cycles(DCs)helps to prevent saturation,thus prolonging the operational lifespan of *** findings reveal a notable packet rejection rate(PRR)of 0%for the DBSCAN(hybrid model).In contrast,the K-means exhibits a PRR ranging from 5%(hybrid model)to 35.29%(SF model)for the ten GWs ***,the network saturation is reduced to 10.185%and 9.503%,respectively,highlighting an improvement in the average efficiency of slotted ALOHA(91.1%)and pure ALOHA(90.7%).These enhancements increase the lifespan of EDs to 15,465.27 days.

Free simulators are used, and of course, there are also paid ones. The use of such programs enhances student learning.

Advances in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies have given a strong progress in environmental monitoring, particularly in air quality assessment. Various technologies are being considered to realize IoT devices, of which LoRaWAN is one of the most promising. This paper presents a prototype of LoRaWAN End device for real-time environmental assessment that stores the measured data in the cloud. The user interface consists of a mobile application that connects to the cloud server to retrieve data and set connection settings.

The popularity of microservice architecture abbreviated MSA has attracted researchers and practitioners in recent years. MSA aims to divide the complex monolithic system from the service to the database into several autonomous blocks called microservices. In this way, updates and deployment of each service can be managed independently. The dissociation of data storage for each microservice is one of the particularities of this architecture. However, the manual implementation of certain tasks in the design and development of the MSA is time-consuming particularly with regard to data management. The objective of this article is therefore to automatically generate the data structure of a microservice from ReLEL in order to systematically derive the MSA databases. Our approach is based on the Praxeme methodology. It is realized in two stages. First, the semantic aspect is derived. Then, we develop ATL derivation rules to design the data structure.

SDSFusion: A Semantic-Aware Infrared and Visible Image Fusion Network for Degraded Scenes

A single-modal infrared or visible image offers limited representation in scenes with lighting degradation or extreme weather. We propose a multi-modal fusion framework, named SDSFusion, for all-day and all-weather infrared and visible image fusion. SDSFusion exploits the commonality in image processing to achieve enhancement, fusion, and semantic task interaction in a unified framework guided by semantic awareness and multi-scale features and losses. To address the disparity between infrared and visible images in degraded scenes, we differentiate modal features in a unified fusion model. Unlike existing joint fusion methods, we propose an adversarial generative network that refines the reconstruction of low-light images by embedding fused features. It provides feature-level brightness supplementation and image reconstruction to refine brightness and contrast. Extensive experiments in degraded scenes confirm that our approach is superior to state-of-the-art approaches in visual quality and performance, demonstrating the effectiveness of interaction improvement. © 1992-2012 IEEE.

The paper presents the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching students hardware description languages (HDLs). These HDLs find applications in various academic disciplines. Different descriptions of basic electronic modules and corresponding testbenches are presented, using multiple implementations of AI. The text (prompt) is given when obtaining the description and testbench, and their simulation shows the correct operation.
