This paper examines the problem of control synthesis which takes into account constraints of current in the coils of poloidal system. The necessary condition for control synthesis consists of astaticism providing on controllable states, because reaching of constraints of current may be treated as new constant disturbance in mathematical model. According to this demand different ways of astaticism providing are examined. Some theorems are proved, giving basis for these methods. New structure of generalized astaticism providing controller is proposed. It uses observer of special type. It is shown that unlike traditional method, which uses integrals of controlled states, proposed methods do not worse the plasma stabilization performance objectives.

New developments in computer networks and communications provide new possibilities for control purposes. controlsystems for highly complex plants are themselves very complex and heterogeneous. A new software infrastructure is needed that exploits these new emerging software technologies. An essential activity to be pursued is that of education and of including new technology in control education. A nonlinear optimization-based identification procedure for fully parameterized multivariable state-space models is presented. The method can be used to identify linear time-invariant, linear parameter-varying, composite local linear, bilinear. Hammerstein and Wiener systems. The nonuniqueness of the full parameterization is dealt with by a projected gradient search to solve the nonlinear optimization problem. Both white and nonwhite measurement noise at the output can be dealt with in a maximum likelihood setting. It is proposed to use subspace identification methods to initialize the nonlinear optimization problem. A computationally efficient and numerically reliable implementation of the procedure is discussed in detail.

The development of electronic commerce systems is subject to different conditions than that of conventional software systems. This includes the introduction of new activities to the development process and the removal of others. An adapted process must cope with important idiosyncrasies of EC system development: EC systems typically have a high degree of interaction, which makes factors like ergonomics, didactics and psychology especially important in the development of user interfaces. Typically, they also have a high degree of integration with existing software systems such as legacy or groupware systems. Integration techniques have to be selected systematically in order not to endanger the whole software development process. This article describes the development of an EC system and it generalizes salient features of the software process used. The result is a process model that can be used for other highly integrative EC system development projects. The processes described are determined by short process lifecycles, by an orientation towards integration of legacy systems and by a strict role-based cooperation approach

This paper is concerned with an application study of model-based fault detection method to a ship propulsion system. When modeling the object system, Quasi-ARMAX model with multi-model form is used. In this model, the system non-linearity is incorporated into model parameters by using non-linear non-parametric models (NNMs). Kullback discrimination Information (KDI) is introduced as fault detection index to evaluate the distortion in identified model, which is caused by a fault. The effectiveness of the method is verified through simulation studies on the ship propulsion system.

Electroencephalograph (EEG) recordings during right and left motor imagery can be used to move a cursor to a target on a computer screen. Such an EEG-based brain-computer interface (BCI) can provide a new communication channel to replace an impaired motor function. It can be used by e.g., handicap users with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). In this study, statistical pattern recognition method based on AR model was introduced to discriminate the EEG signals recorded during right and left motor imagery. And learning methods (processing period for parameter estimation, AR order, etc.) were investigated. Finally, the effectiveness of our method was confirmed through the experimental studies.
