This paper presents condition assessment of high voltage equipment and substation as health index. Major equipment of high voltage substation consists of circuit breaker, disconnecting switch, current transformer, voltage transformer and surge arrester. The condition of equipment is assessed by visual inspection and electrical test. The weighting and scoring method is applied throughout the process of health index calculation. The Analytic Hierarchy Process is used to calculate the weight for each criterion. The conditional score and its weight of each testing are used to calculate the weighting average score. Then, the obtained weighting average score is adjusted by visual inspection, maintenance completeness and failure rate of equipment. The adjusted average score of all equipment in a bay is integrated into bay health index and subsequently adjusted by age and operational stress of bay. Finally, the health index of fifteen substations can be determined.

There are several limitations that facing intrusion-detection system in current days, such as high rates of false positive alerts, low detection rates of rare but dangerous attacks. Daily, there are reports of incidents such as major ex-filtration of data for the purposes of stealing identities. Hybrid model's approaches have been widely used to increase the effectiveness of intrusion-detection platforms. This work proposes the extreme learning machine (ELM) is one of the poplar machine learning algorithms which, easy to implement with excellent learning performance characteristics. However, the internal power parameters (weight and basis) of ELM are initialized at random, causing the algorithm to be unstable. The Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is a well-known meta-heuristic which is used in this research to optimize the ELM. Our propose model has been apple based as intrusion detection and validated based on NSL-KDD data set. Our developed model has been compared against a basic ELM. PSO-ELM has outperformed a basic model in the testing accuracy.

This paper will discuss the impact of E-Learning prospect on the improvement of learner academic performance of Oman universities. The study explains the needs to expand working on E-Learning models and continue use of face to face traditional educational process. The real problem faced education is a need for several applications and technologies to improve their outputs and improve on teacher-student prospect. This paper aims to present an expanded review of different E-learning models to evaluate the prospect of their academic performance. The method of this paper divided into two phases. In the first phase, including the analysis of different technologies and most used tools affected in the educational process to measure the acceptance of learning outcomes. This paper explores the environmental risks in supply chains and provides recommendations for subsequent studies. Typically, the environmental responsibility is a core part of sustainability which focuses attention directly to protecting and restoring the environment. Furthermore, environmental awareness is essential to design globally distributed supply chain networks. Therefore, the aim of this research is to explore the environmental risks and to identify the available solutions along with a projection of future trends. The basic research steps have been followed to complete this work. The Findings of this research describes the environmental risks that arises during supply chains operations. Furthermore, recommended solutions have been highlighted to address the identified risks. The Blockchain technology is regarded as a suitable solution for the environmental risks issue. The motivation for recommending this technology is its capabilities to contribute effectively towards greening the supply chain operations.

In a green environment, air quality is among the prominent aspects to be considered to prevent pollution and in turn maintain safe air. Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) and Building Related Illness (BRI) are the problems that must be encountered by building occupants. Existing devices are quite expensive, and more attention is needed on monitoring air quality. Therefore, this paper discusses a software-hardware architecture proposal to overcome the existing IAQ data retrieval performance problem. The objective of this work is to analyse the most recent IAQ sensing device developed by the researcher, to evaluate the performance attribute, and to implement the software-hardware architecture based on the Performance-Driven software Architecture Refactoring (PDSAR) method. In order to assess the overall performance of the architecture proposed, the prototype of the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) sensing device was developed. The testing was performed during a period of six months. The results demonstrate that the average performance for 540 readings is 76.67%. This shows that the architecture can be accepted as a generic IAQ sensing device development structure. The device act as an alternative, cheaper and safer device which can be employed by all building owners in the future.

At the moment, most of the hospitals are more interested in patient satisfaction because this has been identified as a main issue of quality of service indexes. In most of the Asian countries' the type of registration system being operated in the healthcare systems are a sort of mixed-mode. Specifically, there are scheduled patients, as well as patients who just walk in and register. Unfortunately, this type of registration structure could increase the patient waiting period even in emergency cases. Interestingly, various methodologies have been explored in order to shorten this undesirable waiting time. This paper focuses on exploration of the characteristics and significance of existing models and simulation techniques from the literature. The combination of agent-based modelling (ABM), DES and integration of DES and ABS technique has been chosen as the solution to modelling patient emergency waiting time in the emergency department realistically. The proactive and independent characteristics of agents in both approaches will contribute to the good representation of patient emergency waiting time in the especially in the emergency department.

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) involved in many applications, whether smart or traditional and for both civilian and military uses, and that because of their special features, where it does not depend on any infrastructure during its working, as well as the nodes in MANETs have a freedom of movement with the ability to self-configure, in addition, to working as a router or client at the same time. Moreover, MANETs considered as an infrastructure less network, so the cost of this type of networks is less in comparison to other traditional networks. On the other hand, the routing considered one of most important challenges in MANETs due to the perpetual motion and randomness of the nodes that can causing a continuous change of the network topology and thus to all paths between nodes, where finding valid paths between the nodes is the core task of routing protocols. Recently, it has been argued that the traditional layered architecture is ineffective to deal with receiving signal strength related problems. In an effort to improve the performance of MANETs, there has been increased in protocols that rely on cross-layer interaction between different layers. In this paper, a Cross-layer design among Network, MAC and Physical layers based on Threshold Multipath Routing Protocol (CTMRP) is proposed. The CTMRP is designed for decision maker based on threshold value of average paths signal for efficient transmission of the Text, image, audio and video as well as sending the data via multiple paths, which mitigate the negatives effects causes from forcing the nodes to send the data via single. The Route Discovery Delay, Number of RREQ Messages, Number of RREP Messages, End-to-End Delay, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), and Throughput were selected as the main performance evaluation metrics. The results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance and lead to increase stability of transmission link.
