In this paper the problem of testing decision making systems for MEC platforms was formulated. Methods and means of organizing the introduction of network delays as part of the emulation system of MEC platforms LWMECPS were analyzed. Test applications mec-test-app and mec-test-client are developed for testing and evaluation of the introduced network delays. Developed mec-orch-app to provide test application management and metrics collection. Experiments have been conducted to estimate the insertion latency and manage the test applications using mec-orch-app. Special attention was paid to the organization of all parts of the system as a future laboratory bench for testing decision systems using reinforcement learning machine learning algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

In the present scenario, most of the IaaS clouds use simple resource leasing policies for eg., Advance Reservation (AR), immediate (IL), and best-effort (BE). Resources must be provided for immediate leasing either immediately or not at all. The scheduler executes these leases in the event that resources are available, otherwise, not. Resources are assigned to the lease under the BE policy as soon as they become available. The ability to allocate resources depends on the service provider. When the requested resources are available, the scheduler processes the request. There are no time restrictions with this kind of lease. If resources are not available the request is placed in a FIFO queue. Another sort of lease that necessitates resources within a constrained time frame is the AR lease. Due to limited resources, a cloud provider cannot accommodate all requests at once. There will be no issues in the Best-effort leases. But in critical applications in the cloud, there are many applications that need immediate attention from the cloud provider and the delay in processing such leases have a great impact on such applications. There needs attention for immediate leases. An analytical Markov model for the proposed scheme is developed and analysed. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Starting from the period of the Covid-19 pandemic, when the presence of students in the university laboratories was very limited, the research work on remote laboratories significantly increased. The most affected aspect of students' study experience at that time were the laboratory experiments intended to be conducted on-premises, in the university laboratories. The UbiLAB framework was envisioned as a digital space for implementing and conducting laboratory work and experiments that are rarely completely transferred into the digital world. Here we have identified two most difficult challenges: achieving a nearly realistic substitute for learning experiences in the actual physical laboratories, and a nearly realistic substitute for the social element of collaborative learning and 'making friends' in the process. The innovative cloud-based UbiLAB framework addresses both challenges, digitizing various and diverse actual laboratory experiments through a simple and widely available platform, while enhancing the reality of students' experience in the process. © 2023 IEEE.

The authors of this paper propose a block diagram for a dual-operating buffer on a dynamic optical RAM. The buffer consists of two dynamic optical RAMs, each controlled separately to allow for simultaneous writing and reading of data, thereby improving performance. This setup enables data to be read from the buffer while new data is being written to it. Implementing a dual-operating buffer on a dynamic optical RAM has the potential to enhance the performance of high-speed data transmission in telecommunications networks. The authors conducted numerical calculations to compare failure probabilities between single-operation and dual-operation buffers on dynamic optical RAM. The results indicated that using a dual-operating buffer significantly reduces the probability of failure with the same buffer memory capacity compared to a single-operating buffer. Additionally, the authors analyzed the effectiveness of the proposed dual-operating buffer. The analysis confirmed that exploiting dynamic optical memory for buffering enhances data transfer speed and efficiency due to the inherent properties of optical data transfer, such as high bandwidth and low latency. © 2024 IEEE.

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is the degeneration of the nervous system. Patient suffering with PD is going through many issues and among the population most of them are elderly peoples. Detection of this disease at it's emergencee is complex and time consuming. With the aid of rapid development in Artificial intelligence and using the different characteristics it is possible to foresee PD. To anticipate this problem, a robust machine learning model, support vector machine with regularization is proposed to effectively select the features to predict and classify the PD patients using acoustic characteristics. The proposed machine learning approach predicts the PD affected people from healthy people on the bases of their voice. This approach assures better accuracy rate in prediction of PD effected people and can be seamlessly integrated into healthcare systems. © 2024 IEEE.

This article presents the development of a tethered fixed-wing tail-sitter VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle system. The design focuses on improving energy efficiency by utilizing the wings to harness wind power, similar to a kite, while maintaining VTOL functionality. A distinguishing feature is the purpose-built autopilot system, with custom hardware and software components specifically engineered for this application. The study presents the system identification process for obtaining five MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) transfer functions that characterize the dynamics between roll-yaw commands and responses, including the tether angle feedback. To address the inherent coupling effects and uncertainties in the system, robust mixed sensitivity (H∞) MIMO controllers are developed. The controllers were validated through both simulations and experimental flights, demonstrating effective performance in handling cross-coupling effects and maintaining stability under various operating conditions. According to flight test findings, the system can precisely manage the tether angle while adjusting for ground effect disturbances. This allows for accurate tethered navigation, a stable attitude, and the maintenance of an adequate yaw heading. © 2025 IEEE.

Increasing efficiency and reducing costs in production is currently a very desirable trend. In many areas, we can see the trend of introducing or improving lean techniques and tools, the task of which is to get as close as possible to achieving the ideal state in terms of customer satisfaction and the elimination of any losses. The fundamental benefit of introducing the lean production methodology into the corporate philosophy is the constant effort to achieve perfection and the periodic application of improvement. In this context, lean management is based on the condition that there is no level of perfection with which the company should be satisfied and which cannot be further developed. The introduction of the Industry 4.0 philosophy and the development of information technologies brought new possibilities for lean management. It offers new tools and options that can increase the efficiency of management and the achievement of set goals. In the presented contribution, we will focus on the possibilities of using augmented reality tools for selected areas of lean management. Augmented reality is a key technology enabling the implementation of the Industry 4.0 concept. This technology makes it possible to bridge the gap between the physical world and the increasingly important digital environment. This paper describes self-evaluation of several distance and e-Iearning courses of Samarkand branch of Tashkent University of Information technologies (TUIT) in Uzbekistan. Teaching from distance and use of e-Iearning is one of key issue of the TUIT. Teaching learning from distance is the complex process which requires different kind of actors with own interests. The success of the distance and e-Iearning process depends on cooperation and collaboration of those actors. Therefore, e-Iearning needs to scientific evaluation method to measure success of teaching and learning. The evaluation process which describes in this paper is the first self-evaluation for distance and e-Iearning courses in the Samarkand branch of the TUIT. The structure-oriented evaluation (SURE) model is selected for basic evaluation model for this self-evaluation. The SURE model is originally developed for measure a success of e-Iearning. The data for evaluation is collected by volunteer-based contribution from students in cases of three selected courses. The collected data is processed by online tool of the SURE model. Final evaluation SURE score of the three courses were bigger than 0.80. However, this result has no comparison with other similar evaluation due to the lack of self-evaluation at the university. This confirms that self-evaluation of selected courses and further courses should continue in next studies. © 2024 IEEE.

This work proposes and presents a cellular automata algorithm for infrared object detection and tracking. The algorithm's application is aimed towards computationally limited edge computing sensory modules. Performed is a statistical evaluation of the algorithm's noise resilience through a 3D histogram method. Proposed is a methodology for the optimal choice of the algorithm's fine-tuning parameter values. The performance influence of applying low-pass Kernel filtering was evaluated and developed was a majority voting-based concurrent object mask-generating algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper studies near real time obj ect acquisition by means of detection, identification and engagement on stationary, moving and maneuvering targets in the air and land domains. Using the streamed videos from monochrome and color cameras, a machine vision concept accomplishes object detection by recognizing the object-specific edges and shapes which yield unique geometric features. Object recognition with descriptive identification at reasonable accuracy is performed using the Jaccard index. The region proposal detectors with the intersection over union is implemented by a convolutional neural network. The machine learning models, implemented by the low power system-on-module, were trained. These machine learning algorithms and models support feature detection and matching, localization, and, three-dimensional spatiotemporal reconstruction. The two-and three-dimensional geometry with object and background contrast and color mappings are considered. Subsequent tracking and locking on maneuverable targets is performed using spatio-temporal three-dimensional analytics. The airborne machine acquisition module with trained models is demonstrated. A concept suits monochrome, color and thermal analog and digital cameras. Experiments in typified operational environments demonstrate acceptable accuracy, convergence, low latency and near real-time capabilities for different object categories and classes within developed custom datasets. © 2024 IEEE.
