Fast technical advancements have been implemented in multiple domains of life, including agriculture. technology can help the agriculture industry cut down on the energy and time lost on using traditional methods. The Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the technological developments that are currently in vogue. Real-time internet connectivity for physical items is made possible by the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Through the use of remote water pump control and garden soil moisture monitoring, this research integrates the Internet of Things into the garden irrigation system. Garden owners may monitor and identify soil moisture levels in their plantations using the Internet of Things. After that, effectively, may control the usage of water utilized immediately. The water pump attached to the garden's water supply is designed to automatically change the moisture parameter to its ideal value when the soil moisture sensor detects low moisture levels. Additionally, the garden's owner can use a smartphone app to keep an eye on the moisture level of the soil. © 2024 IEEE.

The advancement of automated number plate recognition (ANPR) systems has garnered noteworthy attention in recent times owing to their diverse applications across multiple domains, including traffic management, parking management, and law enforcement. This paper presents an innovative ANPR method using OpenCV, an open-source computer vision library. Developing ANPR systems is a great fit for OpenCV since it offers a flexible platform for image processing and computer vision tasks. The suggested method effectively detects and recognizes number plates from images and video streams by utilizing OpenCV's capabilities for feature extraction, image preprocessing, and machine learning. Character segmentation, optical character recognitlon (OCR), and licence plate localization are important stages in the process. The ANPR system's accuracy and effectiveness are increased by using these strategies. A variety of real-world datasets, including different lighting conditions, camera angles, and vehicle types, are used in extensive experiments to assess the system's performance. The outcomes show how well the OpenCV-based ANPR system performs in tasks requiring license plate recognition, attaining high accuracy and resilience. Additionally, covered in the paper are possible uses for the ANPR system in security systems, vehicle tracking, and traffic monitoring. To make sure the system is workable in a variety of situations, scalability and real-time implementation are also taken into account. © 2024 IEEE.

To prevent irreversible damage to one’s eyesight,ocular diseases(ODs)need to be recognized and treated *** fundus imaging(CFI)is a screening technology that is both effective and *** to CFIs,the early stages of the disease are characterized by a paucity of observable symptoms,which necessitates the prompt creation of automated and robust diagnostic *** traditional research focuses on image-level diagnostics that attend to the left and right eyes in isolation without making use of pertinent correlation data between the two sets of *** addition,they usually only target one or a few different kinds of eye diseases at the same *** this study,we design a patient-level multi-label OD(PLML_ODs)classification model that is based on a spatial correlation network(SCNet).This model takes into consideration the relevance of patient-level diagnosis combining bilateral eyes and multi-label ODs ***_ODs is made up of three parts:a backbone convolutional neural network(CNN)for feature extraction i.e.,DenseNet-169,a SCNet for feature correlation,and a classifier for the development of classification *** DenseNet-169 is responsible for retrieving two separate sets of attributes,one from each of the left and right *** then,the SCNet will record the correlations between the two feature sets on a pixel-by-pixel *** the attributes have been analyzed,they are integrated to provide a representation at the patient *** the whole process of ODs categorization,the patient-level representation will be *** efficacy of the PLML_ODs is examined using a soft margin loss on a dataset that is readily accessible to the public,and the results reveal that the classification performance is significantly improved when compared to several baseline approaches.

Anomaly-Focused Augmentation Method for Industrial Visual Inspection

In industrial inspection, the detection of surface defects - such as scratches, dents, or other defects - is crucial for ensuring product quality. However, the limited availability of annotated images of such defects poses challenges for developing reliable detection models. This paper proposes a novel image augmentation algorithm to address this limitation by generating synthetic imperfections from a small sample set. Unlike traditional approaches that augment entire images, the proposed approach isolates defects and applies spatial transformations (e.g., rotation, shear) before blending them into background images. This allows for the creation of diverse training datasets. The algorithm employs a 2D binary map to encode the spatial relationship between defect and background regions of images and then applies an AI-driven model to generate new realistic blended images. By leveraging a generator-discriminator framework, the augmentation process is iteratively refined during training to maintain the style and texture of the original imperfections. Experimental results show that the proposed method significantly enhances the performance of defect detection models compared to existing augmentation techniques while preserving the realism of the generated images. © 2013 IEEE.

Predicting Student Behavior Using a Neutrosophic Deep Learning Model

We developed an information system using an object-oriented programming language and a distributed database (DDB) consisting of multiple interconnected databases across a computer network, managed by a distributed database management system (DDBMS) for easy access. An intelligent system was designed to assess the difficulty level of preliminary exams and select top-performing advanced students using a Neutrosophic Deep Learning Model. The dataset was randomly split into training (80%) and testing (20%) sets, and the model, trained with the Adam optimizer at a 0.001 learning rate over 50 epochs, incorporated early stopping based on validation loss. This system, implemented at a traditional Egyptian university, achieved a 95% accuracy in predicting student dropout. Student behavior, influenced by personal, environmental, and academic factors, is often evaluated subjectively, leading to inconsistent results. Traditional machine learning approaches struggle with the inherent uncertainty in behavioral data. To address this, we combined neutrosophic theory—a mathematical framework that accounts for truth, falsity, and indeterminacy—with deep learning, which excels at learning complex data relationships, to predict student outcomes such as dropout rates. Evaluating the model on student data, including attendance and grades, showed superior accuracy, achieving a determination coefficient of 0.95, demonstrating the approach's potential for identifying at-risk students and enabling targeted interventions. © 2025, University of New Mexico. Graphene oxide(GO)is a 2D coating material used to improve fiber optics sensors’response to relative *** resonators(MBRs)have garnered more attention as sensing media *** MBR with a 190μm diameter was coated with ***,tapered fiber light coupling was used to investigate the relative humidity sensing performance in the range of 35—70%RH at 25℃.The MBR showed a higher Q factor before and after GO *** sensitivity of 0.115 dB/%RH was recorded with the 190μm GO-coated MBR sample compared to a sensitivity of 0.022 dB/%RH for the uncoated MBR *** results show that the MBR can be used in fiber optic sensing applications for environmental sensing.

The selection of the appropriate curve type of overcurrent relay function is significant for achieving optimal coordination of overcurrent protection in distribution networks. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the overcurrent relays performance regarding their different inverse time-current curve types. Additionally, different fault locations were taken into consideration. To investigate the impact of curve types on overcurrent relays coordination, we employed a uniform curve type for all overcurrent relays in two representative power systems. The results, encompassing three standardized IEC curve types, are presented, and analyzed to illustrate the efficacy of our proposed approach. Therefore, this study underscores the critical role that curve type selection has in determining the feasibility of attaining reasonably low overcurrent relay trip times. © 2024 IEEE.
