Oscillations of atmospheric muon and electron neutrinos produce tau neutrinos with energies in the GeV range, which can be observed by the ORCA detector of the KM3NeT neutrino telescope in the Mediterranean Sea. First measurements with ORCA6, an early subarray corresponding to about 5% of the final detector, are presented. A sample of 5828 neutrino candidates has been selected from the analysed exposure of 433 kton-years. The ντ normalisation, defined as the ratio between the number of observed and expected tau neutrino events, is measured to be Sτ = 0.48+0−0.335 . This translates into a ντ charged-current cross section measurement of στmeas = (2.5+2−1.68) × 10−38 cm2 nucleon−1 at the median ντ energy of 20.3 GeV. The result is consistent with the measurements of other experiments. In addition, the current limit on the non-unitarity parameter affecting the τ-row of the neutrino mixing matrix was improved, with α33 > 0.95 at the 95% confidence level. PURPOSE: Surgical workflow and skill analysis are key technologies for the next generation of cognitive surgical assistance systems. These systems could increase the safety of the operation through context-sensitive warnings and semi-autonomous robotic assistance or improve training of surgeons via data-driven feedback. In surgical workflow analysis up to 91% average precision has been reported for phase recognition on an open data single-center video dataset. In this work we investigated the generalizability of phase recognition algorithms in a multi-center setting including more difficult recognition tasks such as surgical action and surgical skill. METHODS: To achieve this goal, a dataset with 33 laparoscopic cholecystectomy videos from three surgical centers with a total operation time of 22 hours was created. Labels included framewise annotation of seven surgical phases with 250 phase transitions, 5514 occurences of four surgical actions, 6980 occurences of 21 surgical instruments from seven instrument categories and 495 skill classifications in five skill dimensions. The dataset was used in the 2019 international Endoscopic Vision challenge, sub-challenge for surgical workflow and skill analysis. Here, 12 research teams trained and submitted their machine learning algorithms for recognition of phase, action, instrument and/or skill assessment. RESULTS: F1-scores were achieved for phase recognition between 23.9% and 67.7% (n=9 teams), for instrument presence detection between 38.5% and 63.8% (n=8 teams), but for action recognition only between 21.8% and 23.3% (n=5 teams). The average absolute error for skill assessment was 0.78 (n=1 team). CONCLUSION: Surgical workflow and skill analysis are promising technologies to support the surgical team, but are not solved yet, as shown by our comparison of machine learning algorithms. Robust visual tracking using multi-frame multi-feature joint modeling

It remains a huge challenge to design effective and efficient trackers under complex scenarios, including occlusions, illumination changes and pose variations. To cope with this problem, a promising solution is to integrate the temporal consistency across consecutive frames and multiple feature cues in a unified model. Motivated by this idea, we propose a novel correlation filter-based tracker in this work, in which the temporal relatedness is reconciled under a multi-Task learning framework and the multiple feature cues are modeled using a multi-view learning approach. We demonstrate the resulting regression model can be efficiently learned by exploiting the structure of blockwise diagonal matrix. A fast blockwise diagonal matrix inversion algorithm is developed thereafter for efficient online tracking. Meanwhile, we incorporate an adaptive scale estimation mechanism to strengthen the stability of scale variation tracking. We implement our tracker using two types of features and test it on two benchmark datasets. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed approach when compared with other state-of-The-Art trackers. Influence of the electric discharge and the power supply on the aqueous solution interface parameters

Laboratory electrical discharges that produce non-thermal plasma are used more and more for microbiological decontamination, surface treatment and depollution by the means of decomposing some complex molecules or in the field of modern medicine. Each application requires a power supply particularly adapted to the plasma reactor type used. If the first applications of these discharges were designed mostly for reactor types with high volume discharge capabilities, and the power supplies were simple and robust generating high power using industrial frequencies, in time the reactors decreased significantly in size and the power supplies used were working on higher frequencies. This trend was adopted on one hand out of the need for energy optimization of the power supplies used, and on the other hand for obtaining a better homogeneity of the treatment. This paper aims to provide a comparison of few AC and pulsed power supplies, working at different frequencies, with respect to the electrical parameters, from the point of view of active species production. The measured electrical parameters of the electrical discharges are the power and the specific energy. Also the results obtained for treatment of distilled water using three types of plasma reactors (classic GlidArc, Mini-torch plasma and Gliding Spark) will be shown. The analysis focus on the modification of pH of the distilled water in time after the plasma treatment.

The article addresses the design of an automation system for the lamination process of the cars, which has as inputs different types of transducers, and as outputs the command of a linear pneumatic motor. The layered and self-supporting laminated structures of motor vehicles are manufactured from a thermoplastic substrate and a flexible sheet material in one direction rolling and cutting operation. The installation for producing these laminates is a casting press having two casting plates, each of which comprises a component of a pair of cutting means. It is used a CPU 315-2 PN / DP, which is a medium-sized program memory processor and it is often used in automation structures. This processor can also be used as distributed intelligence (master or slave). The implementation of the code sequence to work on this processor is done in one of the specific languages to the programmable machines. The software used in programming is STEP 7. The stored information is not erased when the processor is disconnected. The usefulness of programmable machines has simplified the approach of an automated system.

In order to judge whether the user reviews are relevant to App software, this paper proposed a method to judge the relevance of user reviews based on Naive Bayesian text classification and term frequency. Firstly, the keywords sets of App software's user reviews are extracted. Then, the keywords sets are optimized. Finally, the relevance score of the user reviews are calculated, and whether the user reviews are relevant is judged. Through the experiment, this method is proved that can judge the relevance of App software's user reviews effectively.

We present a novel cross-view classification algorithm where the gallery and probe data come from different views. A popular approach to tackle this problem is the multiview subspace learning (MvSL) that aims to learn a latent subspace shared by multi-view data. Despite promising results obtained on some applications, the performance of existing methods deteriorates dramatically when the multi-view data is sampled from nonlinear manifolds or suffers from heavy outliers. To circumvent this drawback, motivated by the Divideand-Conquer strategy, we propose Multi-view Hybrid Embedding (MvHE), a unique method of dividing the problem of cross-view classification into three subproblems and building one model for each subproblem. Specifically, the first model is designed to remove view discrepancy, whereas the second and third models attempt to discover the intrinsic nonlinear structure and to increase discriminability in intra-view and interview samples respectively. The kernel extension is conducted to further boost the representation power of MvHE. Extensive experiments are conducted on four benchmark datasets. Our methods demonstrate overwhelming advantages against the stateof-the-art MvSL based cross-view classification approaches in terms of classification accuracy and robustness. A novel autonomous 5-D hyperjerk RC circuit with hyperbolic sine function is proposed in this paper. Compared to some existing 5-D systems like the 5-D Sprott B system, the 5-D Lorentz, and the Lorentz-like systems, the new system is the simplest 5-D system with complex dynamics reported to date. Its simplicity mainly relies on its nonlinear part which is synthetized using only two semiconductor diodes. The system displays only one equilibrium point and can exhibit both periodic and chaotic dynamical behavior. The complex dynamics of the system is investigated by means of bifurcation analysis. In particular, the striking phenomenon of multistability is revealed showing up to seven coexisting attractors in phase space depending solely on the system's initial state. To the best of author's knowledge, this rich dynamics has not yet been revealed in any 5-D dynamical system in general or particularly in any hyperjerk system. In the era of precision measurements of neutrino oscillation parameters, it is necessary for experiments to disentangle discrepancies that may indicate physics beyond the Standard Model in the neutrino sector. KM3NeT/ORCA is a water Cherenkov neutrino detector under construction and anchored at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. The detector is designed to study the oscillations of atmospheric neutrinos and determine the neutrino mass ordering. This paper focuses on the initial configuration of ORCA, referred to as ORCA6, which comprises six out of the foreseen 115 detection units of photosensors. A high-purity neutrino sample was extracted during 2020 and 2021, corresponding to an exposure of 433 kton-years. This sample is analysed following a binned log-likelihood approach to search for invisible neutrino decay, in a three-flavour neutrino oscillation scenario, where the third neutrino mass state ν3 decays into an invisible state, e.g. a sterile neutrino. The resulting best fit of the invisible neutrino decay parameter is (formula presented), corresponding to a scenario with θ23 in the second octant and normal neutrino mass ordering.
