In this study, brain, and gait dynamic information were combined and used for diagnosis and monitoring of Parkinson's disease (the most important Neurodegenerative Disorder). Analysis of the information corresponding to a prescribed movement involving tremor, and the related changes in brain connectivity is novel and original. Analytically, developing a space-time nonlinear adaptive system which fuses brain and gait information algorithmically is proposed here for the first time. The overall dynamic system will be constrained by the clinical impressions of the patient symptoms embedded in a knowledge-based system. The entire complex constrained problem were solved to enable a powerful model for recognition and monitoring of Parkinson's disease and establishing appropriate rules for its clinical following up.

In this paper, we consider the asymptotic stabilization of a class of one dimensional boundary controlled port Hamiltonian systems by an immersion/reduction approach and the use of Casimir invariants. We first extend existing results on asymptotic stability of linear infinite dimensional systems controlled at their boundary to the case of stable Port Hamiltonian controllers including some physical constraints as clamping. Then the relation between structural invariants, namely Casimir functions, and the controller structure is computed. The Casimirs are employed in the selection of the controllers Hamiltonian to shape the total energy function of the closed loop system and introduce a minimum in the desired equilibrium configuration. The approach is illustrated on the model of a micro manipulation process with partial-actuation on one side of the spatial domain.

In recent years wind energy is the fastest growing branch of the power generation industry. The largest cost for the wind turbine is its maintenance. A common technique to decrease this cost is a remote monitoring based on vibration analysis. Growing number of monitored turbines requires an automated way of support for diagnostic experts. As full fault detection and identification is still a very challenging task, it is necessary to prepare an "early warning" tool, which would focus the attention on cases which are potentially dangerous. There were several attempts to develop such tools, in most cases based on various classification methods. As the ART neural networks are capable to perform efficient classification and to recognize new states when necessary, they seems to be a proper tool for classification of vibration signals of bearing in gears in wind turbines. The verification of ART-2 networks efficiency in this task is the topic of this paper.
