The emerging neurorehabilitation technology, Brain-computer Interface (BCI), provides a novel prospect for stroke recovery. However, decoding brain activity during the movement present substantial challenges, and feature extraction is crutial to build a better decoder. In this study the CEBRA method were employed to extract features first based on electroencephalogram(EEG) data during Motor Execution(ME) and Motor lmagery (Ml) tasks for 20 participants (including 10 stroke patients). The results revealed that, in MI tasks, CEBRA-RF (Random Forests) achieved an average classification accuracy of 91.33%, with an average F1-score of 91.19%, and CEBRA-SVM (Support Vector Machine) achieved an average classification accuracy of 91.32%, with an average F1-score of 90.83%. Traditional healthcare services have changed into modern ones in which doctors can diagnose patients from a distance. All stakeholders, including patients, ward boy, life insurance agents, physicians, and others, have easy access to patients' medical records due to cloud computing. The cloud's services are very cost-effective and scalable, and provide various mobile access options for a patient's electronic health records (EHRs). EHR privacy and security are critical concerns despite the many benefits of the cloud. Patient health information is extremely sensitive and important, and sending it over an unencrypted wireless media raises a number of security hazards. This study suggests an innovative and secure access system for cloud-based electronic healthcare services storing patient health records in a third-party cloud service provider. The research considers the remote healthcare requirements for maintaining patient information integrity, confidentiality, and security. There will be fewer attacks on e-healthcare records now that stakeholders will have a safe interface and data on the cloud will not be accessible to them. End-to-end encryption is ensured by using multiple keys generated by the key conclusion function (KCF), and access to cloud services is granted based on a person's identity and the relationship between the parties involved, which protects their personal information that is the methodology used in the proposed scheme. The proposed scheme is best suited for cloud-based e-healthcare services because of its simplicity and robustness. Using different Amazon EC2 hosting options, we examine how well our cloud-based web application service works when the number of requests linearly increases. The performance of our web application service that runs in the cloud is based on how many requests it can handle per second while keeping its response time constant. A reputation-based approach using consortium blockchain for cyber threat intelligence sharing

The CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence) sharing and exchange is an effective method to improve the responsiveness of the protection party. Blockchain technology enables sharing collaboration consortium to conduct a trusted CTI sharing and exchange without a trusted centralized institution. However, the distributed connectivity of the blockchain-based CTI sharing model proposed before exposes the systems into byzantine attacks, the compromised members of partner organizations will further decrease the accuracy and trust level of CTI by generating false reporting. To address the unbalance issues of performance in speed, scalability and security, this paper proposes a new blockchain-based CTI model, which combines consortium blockchain and distributed reputation management systems to achieve automated analysis and response of tactical threat intelligence. In addition, the novel consensus algorithm of consortium blockchain that is fit for CTI sharing and exchange introduced in this paper. The new consensus algorithm is called "Proof-of Reputation" (PoR) consensus, which meets the requirements of transaction rate and makes the consensus in a creditable network environment through constructing a reputation model. This paper deals with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor modeling and control. The derived nonlinear dq model is a combination of Finite Element Method simulation data with the classical dq model. The so derived model keeps the precision of the Finite Element Method simulations and also the fast execution times of the dq model. The Finite Element Method data is included in the dq model using Artificial Neural Networks. The derived model is also used for controller design. The chosen controller is a PI like Fuzzy Logic Controller, which is tuned using Genetic Algorithm optimization. The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Fuzzy Logic Controller operation is tested using Real-Time (Model-in-the-Loop) simulations. © PEMD *** right reserved.

engineering systems heavily rely on mathematical modeling, significantly influencing both system performance and the design of control systems. This paper thoroughly investigates the establishment of a third-order mathematical model for heavy machinery systems, with a specific emphasis on the ElectroHydraulic Actuator (EHA) system. The formulation of a double-acting EHA system model using a grey box system identification approach is outlined, encompassing the system’s dynamics and behavior. In addition, the details of the EHA system experimental setup that is used for system identification are described. The identification process demonstrates promising performance, achieving an impressive accuracy of 89.1%, as highlighted in the results and discussion sections.

A Generative Approach to the Design of Traditional Patterns Based on the Gene Network

The contemporary design based on traditional (e.g., architectural, artistic and cultural) patterns relies heavily on the individual experience and knowledge of designers, resulting in low efficiency and the difficulty to standardize the design process. To solve these problems, a novel generative approach is developed base on the gene network. The knowledge is extracted for standardizing the design process as well as providing inspiration to designers. Using traditional Huizhou dwellings, a presentative Chinese architectural heritage, as an example, the gene network model of traditional artistic patterns was constructed, and the generative design of traditional window patterns was realized with various arithmetic units. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the presented approach, providing a standard and efficient method for designing traditional patterns. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Dynamic Legged Ball Manipulation on Rugged Terrains with Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning

Advancing the dynamic loco-manipulation capabilities of quadruped robots in complex terrains is crucial for performing diverse tasks. Specifically, dynamic ball manipulation in rugged environments presents two key challenges. The first is coordinating distinct motion modalities to integrate terrain traversal and ball control seamlessly. The second is overcoming sparse rewards in end-to-end deep reinforcement learning, which impedes efficient policy convergence. To address these challenges, we propose a hierarchical reinforcement learning framework. A high-level policy, informed by proprioceptive data and ball position, adaptively switches between pretrained low-level skills such as ball dribbling and rough terrain navigation. We further propose Dynamic Skill-Focused Policy Optimization to suppress gradients from inactive skills and enhance critical skill learning. Both simulation and real-world experiments validate that our methods outperform baseline approaches in dynamic ball manipulation across rugged terrains, highlighting its effectiveness in challenging environments. The process of fish breeding is extensively applied in fish farms and it is influenced by either environmental factors (in case of natural reproduction) and by the use of exogenous hormones (in case of artificial reproduction). Reproducing some species under controlled conditions without hormonal preparations is not possible. Many hormonal agents have been previously described in the scientific literature as beneficial in the fish breeding process. The effectiveness of these agents varies. This paper reviews some of the basic hormonal substances and describes the results of artificial reproduction. The most frequently encountered substances that give the best results are: Carp pituitary homogenate (CPH), Ovopel and Ovaprim. It can be concluded that in order to ensure the success of reproduction, the doses applied are particularly important, as well as the way of administration of the agent.

In this paper, the peer-to-peer energy trading is performed between prosumers with energy surplus in the role of seller and prosumers with energy shortage in the role of buyer. In the proposed model, buyers, in addition to participating in local trading, can supply their demand shortage from the upstream market. These players can also participate in a price-based demand response program in a fully decentralized way to manage their energy and increase their welfare. The proposed problem is a fully decentralized problem that requires a decentralized approach to clear. In this paper, the decentralized alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) is used to solve the proposed problem. Numerical studies have been performed on a small distribution system with four sellers and three buyers. Numerical results show that the proposed model is a fully decentralized method, and the proposed approach ensures the convergence of negotiations and trading.
