Data quality issues are still a challenge in data migration. Existing methods mainly focus on technical issues. However, the problem of data quality is not only a technical problem, but the main one is the non-technical aspect. This paper aims to identify the role of data governance in the data migration process. The qualitative research method uses two primary references, namely the high-level data migration approach from Kazimir et al. and the DAMA-DMBOK framework. Both are highly compatible with data migration processes focusing on data quality and referencing governance roles. The case study was conducted in a central government working on data migration to the new One Data application. The results show that eight data governance roles are involved in 20 migration processes (65%). Non-technical activities related to data quality involve more than half of the data migration process. This paper proposes the role of data governance for non-technical aspects of the migration process. This paper presents a case study of the high-level data migration process and how data governance comes into play. This research can help the government and practitioners overcome problems that often occur in data migration, especially related to data quality. © The Author(s) 2024.

This paper employing the Product-as-a-Service (PaaS) paradigm provides a model integrating preventive and proactive management strategies to maintain the required service level availability in MultiFunction Device (MFD) offerings. The problems of resource allocation and servicing problems implied by these strategies focus on planning leasing offers that meet an acceptable failure risk level and routing service teams participating in maintenance missions. The aim is to allocate services that provide balanced risk to suppliers and renters, reduce delays, and prioritize urgent cases by routing a fleet of technical vehicles responsible for delivering and receiving service teams without the constraint of requiring the exact vehicle for both operations. The conducted computer experiments demonstrated the effectiveness of the adopted reference model, allowing for increasing PaaS availability and minimizing service costs.

A micro-grid (MG) is regarded as a localized small-scale power supply system designed for providing electrical power for a remote community, which may be connected to the grid. The paper considers six participants' sites in a remote community. The peak energy consumption patterns for these participants must be different to ensure coalition for mutual benefits and this would facilitate efficient utilization of energy resources. This community concerned may include rural communities having participants such as schools, housing estates, industrial sites, etc. The propose approach would ensure that many participants and their needs are captured and optimized profit of the participants would ensure mutual benefits. In islanded MG, most of the cost/profit distributions in energy trading problems are done based on the self-interest of the participants. Some consider a fair (acceptable or reasonable) cost/profit distribution using the cooperative game theory (CGT) based on the Nash bargaining solution (NBS). However, this method leads to a high degree of dissatisfaction. To improve the fairness and mutual benefits for all MG participants, a new flexible approach is developed. Specifically, CGT which uses a generalized NBS (GNBS) has been proposed, which relaxes certain axiom of the NBS to ensure that fairness of game theory is achieved. The approach allows the profit of the MG participants to be shared using a mechanism based on the negotiation power (i.e. weighted fairness) so that the MG would attain an improved economic outcome. Empirical evaluation of the approach indicates that overall profits using CGT is higher when compared with an independent approach. Moreover, different in negotiation power is achieved in which higher profit is allocated to any participant based on participant's mutual agreement in achieving fair profit distribution. This study presents the fabrication process of a printed antenna on a FR-4 substrate with accurate measurements of 25×37×1 mm3. The antenna design, known for its simplicity, has four semicircles with four small square patches at each end. In addition, it includes two rectangular patches that are fitted with pin diode switches in order to enable the ability to operate in two different frequency bands. The antenna's ground has a carefully placed opening. The antenna being examined demonstrates resonance at both the frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, with reflection coefficients of -19.6 dB and -16.5 dB correspondingly. The VSWR for both working frequencies is below 2, satisfying the requirements of Bluetooth and WLAN applications. The tiny size and creative design elements of this antenna allow for versatility and adaptation in many wireless communication systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Manual investigation of chest radiography(CXR)images by physicians is crucial for effective decision-making in COVID-19 ***,the high demand during the pandemic necessitates auxiliary help through image analysis and machine learning *** study presents a multi-threshold-based segmentation technique to probe high pixel intensity regions in CXR images of various pathologies,including normal *** information is extracted using gray co-occurrence matrix(GLCM)-based features,while vessel-like features are obtained using Frangi,Sato,and Meijering *** learning models employing Decision Tree(DT)and RandomForest(RF)approaches are designed to categorize CXR images into common lung infections,lung opacity(LO),COVID-19,and viral pneumonia(VP).The results demonstrate that the fusion of texture and vesselbased features provides an effective ML model for aiding *** ML model validation using performance measures,including an accuracy of approximately 91.8%with an RF-based classifier,supports the usefulness of the feature set and classifier model in categorizing the four different ***,the study investigates the importance of the devised features in identifying the underlying pathology and incorporates histogrambased *** analysis reveals varying natural pixel distributions in CXR images belonging to the normal,COVID-19,LO,and VP groups,motivating the incorporation of additional features such as mean,standard deviation,skewness,and percentile based on the filtered ***,the study achieves a considerable improvement in categorizing COVID-19 from LO,with a true positive rate of 97%,further substantiating the effectiveness of the methodology implemented.

The data collected by the authorised sensor devices is transferred to the cloud for safe storage. communication occurs via a secure key management system designed for a decentralised network. Subsequently, it is important to guarantee that only authorised individuals are able to get this data from the cloud. Ensuring user authentication is of utmost importance in resource-constrained IoT devices due to the large number of users accessing sensitive data. The current user authentication methods suffer from accuracy, error rate, and implementation time problems. A novel solution is offered to tackle these challenges by introducing a sophisticated stacked ensemble authentication architecture that utilises cellphones for IoT systems. The suggested authentication approach utilises gait analysis to authenticate individuals by recognising their unique patterns of human movement. A smartphone equipped with an accelerometer and gyroscope sensor is used to gather gait characteristics. The proposed system has two components: preprocessors and classifiers. The preprocessor performs noise reduction and feature extraction. Subsequently, stacked ensemble machine learning classification models, including base and meta classifiers, are used to classify the characteristics, such as linear acceleration, rotation rate, and gravity, for the purpose of user authentication. The accuracy and error rate of the outcomes are compared with the schemes that already exist. The observation indicates that the suggested framework attains a 95% accuracy rate, a lower error rate, and optimised execution time. © 2024 IEEE.

In telemedicine,the realization of reversible watermarking through information security is an emerging research ***,adding watermarks hinders the distribution of pixels in the cover image because it creates distortions(which lead to an increase in the detection probability).In this article,we introduce a reversible watermarking method that can transmit medical images with minimal distortion and high *** proposed method selects two adjacent gray pixels whose least significant bit(LSB)is different from the relevant message bit and then calculates the distortion *** use the LSB pairing method to embed the secret matrix of patient record into the cover image and exchange pixel *** results show that the designed method is robust to different attacks and has a high PSNR(peak signal-to-noise ratio)*** MRI image quality and imperceptibility are verified by embedding a secret matrix of up to 262,688 bits to achieve an average PSNR of 51.657 *** addition,the proposed algorithm is tested against the latest technology on standard images,and it is found that the average PSNR of our proposed reversible watermarking technology is higher(i.e.,51.71 dB).Numerical results show that the algorithm can be extended to normal images and medical images.

In this paper, a reconfigurable digital modulation leaky-wave antenna (LWA) is proposed. This antenna does not require additional ADC/DAC modules and mixing circuits, which simplifies the antenna structure design. By introducing diodes, the proposed antenna realizes digital beam scanning and digital modulation of the leaky-wave. By inputting different digital codes, the multi-beam switching functionality is achieved, thereby realizing the purpose of beam reconfigurability. A low-cost and easy-to-manufacture metasurface radiator is fabricated, which can achieve the leaky-wave radiation effect. In summary, the proposed antenna is a promising candidate for realizing beam reconfigurability in future intelligent wireless communications. © 2024 IEEE.
