Cyberbullying is a form of harassment or bullying that takes place online or through digital devices like smartphones,computers,or *** can occur through various channels,such as social media,text messages,online forums,or gaming *** involves using technology to intentionally harm,harass,or intimidate others and may take different forms,including exclusion,doxing,impersonation,harassment,and ***,due to the rapid growth of malicious internet users,this social phenomenon is becoming more frequent,and there is a huge need to address this ***,the main goal of the research proposed in this manuscript is to tackle this emerging challenge.A dataset of sexist harassment on Twitter,containing tweets about the harassment of people on a sexual basis,for natural language processing(NLP),is used for this *** algorithms are used to transform the text into a meaningful representation of numbers for machine learning(ML)input:Term frequency inverse document frequency(TF-IDF)and Bidirectional encoder representations from transformers(BERT).The well-known eXtreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)ML model is employed to classify whether certain tweets fall into the category of sexual-based harassment or ***,with the goal of reaching better performance,several XGBoost models were devised conducting hyperparameter tuning by *** this purpose,the recently emerging Coyote optimization algorithm(COA)was modified and adjusted to optimize the XGBoost ***,other cutting-edge metaheuristics approach for this challenge were also implemented,and rigid comparative analysis of the captured classification metrics(accuracy,Cohen kappa score,precision,recall,and F1-score)was ***,the best-generated model was interpreted by Shapley additive explanations(SHAP),and useful insights were gained about the behavioral patterns of people who perform social harassment.

This Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) uses technology to improve the well-being, autonomy, and security of seniors and disabled individuals. AAL services depend on Human Activity Recognition to detect human behaviors from sensor data. Compared to single-view models, multi-view HAR, which aggregates data from multiple sensors, provides improved accuracy and reliable detection. In this review, we assess recent progress in multi-view HAR for AAL, focusing on the value of lightweight deep learning models. We cover the development of HAR systems, as well as the emergence of multi-view datasets and highly efficient deep learning models that are explicitly designed for AAL scenarios. Furthermore, we address problems such as data synchronization, data protection, and adaptability, as well as possible remedies like sensor fusion and transfer learning. As a result, we also demonstrate the potential of multi-view HAR to increase AAL services and outlining future research trends in providing adaptive, efficient, and privacy-aware systems.

Navigating online learning challenges and opportunities: Insights from small group of lecturers during pandemic

The implementation of e-learning platforms in higher education offers opportunities to enhance education quality and increase access to flexible learning. However, challenges arise, including limited guidance for students, high dropout rates, and obstacles faced by instructors. This qualitative case study explores the challenges and opportunities of online learning from instructors' perspectives. Data was collected through a survey administered to 23 instructors, and thematic analysis was conducted to identify the themes of challenges and opportunities. Findings reveal challenges in interaction, practical session delivery, monitoring, assessment, and identity verification. Institutional support challenges include insufficient training and socialization. Individual Challenges encompass digital skills, health concerns, and fatigue. Technological challenges involve availability, integration, capacity, and network-related issues. Despite these challenges, online learning provides opportunities for time effectiveness, flexibility, personal development, innovative teaching methods, and collaboration with external experts.

Email classification is essential to the trouble of email and pattern recognition. Nowadays, a number of unsolicited messages are circulated over the internet. While plenty of machine learning techniques are a success in detecting textual primarily based on totally unsolicited mail, this isn’t the case for messages spams, which can without difficulty avoid those textual-unsolicited mail detection systems. This paper proposes the introduction of MOBGOA constructed on the binary version of the GOA algorithm, for multi-objective selection of features purposes and the wrapper approach of selection of features and purpose of the EGOAMLP algorithm utilized this algorithm as the wrapper classifier. Spam assassin dataset was used to validate the performance of the MOB-EGOAMLP. Artificial intelligence(AI)has recently been used in nanomedical applications,in which implanted intelligent nanosystems inside the human body were used to diagnose and treat a variety of ailments with the help of the Internet of biological Nano Things(IoBNT).Biological circuit engineering or nanomaterial-based architectures can be used to approach the *** nanomedical applications,the blood vascular medium serves as a communication channel,demonstrating a molecular communication system based on flow and *** paper presents a performance study of the channel capacity for flow-based-diffusive molecular communication nanosystems that takes into account the ligand-receptor binding *** earlier studies,we take into account the effects of biological physical characteristics such as blood pressure,blood viscosity,and vascular diameter on channel ***,in terms of drug transmission error probability,the inter-symbol interference(ISI)phenomenon is applied to the proposed *** numerical results show that the proposed AI nanosystems-based IoBNT technology can be successfully implemented in future nanomedicine.

FC Portugal, a simulated humanoid soccer team from the universities of Porto and Aveiro, achieved the third consecutive victory in the main competition of the 2024 RoboCup 3D Simulation League. The team registered 16 wins, 3 ties, and 2 losses, scoring a total of 105 goals while only conceding 17. FC Portugal also ended first in two secondary events: the Scientific Challenge, which evaluates innovative scientific contributions within the league, and the Fat Proxy Challenge, where teams share a common set of low-level skills and compete for the best high-level strategy. The codebase used in this competition was developed in Python after RoboCup 2021. This paper presents a brief overview of its structure along with the new features developed for this year’s competition. This work aims to create a deep learning model utilizing Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) as a classification model to detect and diagnose potential problems in diesel engines. The default dataset comprises 3,500 data entries and four distinct dataset types. White noise in the dataset is attributed to additive Gaussian white noise (AWGN). The main contributions of this study comprise developing a classification model aimed at identifying damage in diesel engines, as well as evaluating the performance of the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) method. The K-Fold cross-validation technique was utilized, where the value of k was set at 5. This study examines the damage classification in diesel engines using four datasets: default 0dB Noise, 15dB Noise, 30dB Noise, and 60dB Noise. The K-Fold Cross Validation methodology was employed, utilizing a value of k=5. The training and validation processes were conducted iteratively, employing a learning rate of 0.00005 during the training phase. The training phase utilized a mini-batch size of 128, and the maximum number of epochs was set at 10,000. The results indicate that the dataset containing 60dB noise consistently demonstrates the highest level of accuracy, with an average accuracy of 97.91% across the five folds and the efficacy of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models in classification tasks is improved in the presence of white noise. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper develops a new meta-heuristic algorithm, called Membrane Algorithm based on Quasi-Affine TRansformation Evolution (MA-QUATRE). The proposed algorithm combines the principles of QUATRE, the one-level membrane structure, and the rules of membrane systems. The different operations of QUATRE are for each inner elementary membrane and outer skin membrane, and the transformation/communication is like rules in membrane systems. For the effectiveness of MA-QUATRE, it is first evaluated on the CEC2022 benchmark and compared with five QUATRE-related algorithms. Further, the proposed algorithm is used to solve two engineering design problems (tension/compression spring and pressure vessel design) and compared with the original QUATRE and six state-of-the-art algorithms. Finally, experimental results show that the proposed MA-QUATRE is a competitive algorithm for optimization problems. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging is a radiation-free modality widely used for functional and structural evaluation of the cardiovascular system. Achieving an accurate diagnosis requires having good-quality images. Subjective CMR image quality assessment is a tedious, time-consuming and costly process. This paper presents an automated scoring framework for CMR image quality assessment that uses deep learning models to evaluate left ventricular coverage and CMR imaging artefacts. The quality scoring in the proposed framework is an attempt to automate some of the subjective quality control criteria of the EuroCMR registry for the short-axis cine steady-state free precession (SSFP) CMR images. The scores given by a radiologist and a cardiologist with experience in CMR imaging for the images of 50 subjects from the UK Biobank were used to validate the proposed framework. The Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) and the Spearman rank-order correlation coefficient (SRCC) calculated for the experts' quality scores versus ones obtained from the proposed framework are 0.908 and 0.806 on average. The results show that the quality scoring by the proposed framework is highly correlated with the experts' opinions. The proposed framework can be used for post-imaging quality assessment of short-axis cine SSFP CMR images and quality control of large population studies such as the UK Biobank. © 2023 IEEE.
