Integrating a large number of embedded memories in System-on-Chips (SoC's) occupies up to more than 70% of the die size, thus requiring Built-In Self-Test (BIST) with the smallest possible area overhead. This paper analyzes MATS++(6N), March C-(10N), March SR(14N), and March CL(12N) test algorithms and shows that they cannot detect either Write Disturb Faults (WDFs) or Deceptive Read Destructive Faults (DRDFs) or both. Therefore to improve fault detection, an automation program is developed based on sequence operation (SQ) generation rules. However after solving the undetected fault, the outcome in term of its detection result of Static Double Cell Faults using the specified test algorithm especially Transition Coupling Faults (CFtrs), Write Destructive Coupling Faults (CFwds), Read Destructive Coupling Faults (CFrds) and Deceptive Read Destructive Faults (CFdrds) are observed. © 2012 IEEE.

To investigate the genetic basis of type 2 diabetes (T2D) to high resolution, the GoT2D and T2D-GENES consortia catalogued variation from whole-genome sequencing of 2,657 European individuals and exome sequencing of 12,940 individuals of multiple ancestries. Over 27M SNPs, indels, and structural variants were identified, including 99% of low-frequency (minor allele frequency [MAF] 0.1-5%) non-coding variants in the whole-genome sequenced individuals and 99.7% of low-frequency coding variants in the whole-exome sequenced individuals. Each variant was tested for association with T2D in the sequenced individuals, and, to increase power, most were tested in larger numbers of individuals (>80% of low-frequency coding variants in ~82 K Europeans via the exome chip, and ~90% of low-frequency non-coding variants in ~44 K Europeans via genotype imputation). The variants, genotypes, and association statistics from these analyses provide the largest reference to date of human genetic information relevant to T2D, for use in activities such as T2D-focused genotype imputation, functional characterization of variants or genes, and other novel analyses to detect associations between sequence variation and T2D.

The paper begins by identifying the organizations which are vulnerable to the SQL attack referred to as an SQL injection attack (SQLIA). The term "SQL injection attack" is defined and a diagram (Fig.1) is used to illustrate the way that attack occurs. In another section, the paper identifies the methods used to detect an attack to SQL, whereby the techniques are discussed extensively using relevant diagrams for illustration. The other sections cover the preventive methods, where the methods are also discussed with an illustration using diagrams. © 2012 International Journal of computer Science Issues.

In this paper we propose an architecture integrating a multi-agent system and a centralised solution for intelligent traffic light control, aiming at the overall improvement of the network's performance under the cooperative and the adaptive assumptions. Knowing that most decentralised traffic control solutions do not offer direct guarantees on the overall network's performance, we propose the inclusion of a higher-level agent responsible for the analysis of the entire network performance from a macroscopic perspective. This agent will then communicate with traffic light controlling agents in order to provide them with useful suggestions based on the globally perceived information. We present a case study in order to evaluate the impact of our proposed architecture as an intelligent traffic management solution.

The problem of evacuating crowded closed spaces, such as discotheques, public exhibition pavilions or concert houses, has become increasingly important and gained attention both from practitioners and from public authorities. A simulation implementation using NetLogo, an agent-based simulation framework that permits the quickly creation of prototypes, is presented. Our aim is to prove that this model developed using NetLogo, albeit simple can be expanded and adapted for fire safety experts test various scenarios and validate the outcome of their design. Some preliminary experiments are carried out, whose results are presented, validated and discussed so as to illustrate their efficiency. Finally, we draw some conclusions and point out ways in which this work can be further extended.

Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD) has become even more important research area in recent years with the widespread usage of Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications. WSD task has two variants: “Lexical Sample” and “All Words” approaches. Lexical Sample approach disambiguates the occurrences of a small sample of target words that were previously selected, while in the latter all the words in a piece of text are disambiguated. In the scope of this work, a Lexical Sample Dataset for Turkish has been prepared. As a first step, highly ambiguous words in Turkish have been selected. Collection of text samples for chosen words has been completed. Five taggers have annotated the word senses. This paper summarizes the step-by-step building-up process of a Lexical Sample Dataset in Turkish and presents the results of some experiments on it.

In this paper we are going to reinforce Business Benefits of Cloud Computing,concentrating in backup technology referring to live migration *** have compare the time of livemigration during a backup transition by using different hypervisors such as: ESX-I,XEN,OpenVZ and Hyper-V on a Cloud,which means that different Data Storage in different *** we have improve the performance of live migration on such Hypervisors by implemented a program code in C called C_Software. It is implemented in User Space and it is part of each operating system which setup over those *** means that it is independent from the type of *** are focused on Cloud *** those experiments we can check that live migration is reduced in all Hypervisors mostly in XEN. © 2012 International Journal of computer Science Issues.

This paper describes a distributed control strategy for a hybrid electric vehicle, in order to reduce the fuel consumption, and to maintain a reasonable state of charge (SOC), at the end of the drive cycle. The vehicle is like a system built from control nodes, every one of them having the same priority. The control laws are based on the dc-bus signaling, such way that every source of power (control node) is entering or leaving the network (dc-bus) depending on the voltage thresholds. The algorithm was tested using Matlab Simulink and ADVISOR interface. The results include statistical comparisons of the standard drive cycles using default model and the modified control strategy. © 2012 Dunarea de Jos University.

There is increasing interest of organization for advanced presentation and data analysis for public users. This paper shows how to integrate data from enterprise data warehouse with spatial data warehouse, publish them together to online interactive map, and enable public users to perform analysis in simple web interface. As case study is used Business Intelligence System for Investors, where data comes from different sources different levels, structured and unstructured. This approach has three phases: creating spatial data warehouse, implementing ETL (extract, transform and load) procedure for data from different sources (spatial and non-spatial) and, finally, designing interface for performing data analysis. The fact, that this is a public site, where users are not known in advanced and not trained, calls for importance of usability design and self-evident interface. Investors are not willing to invest any time in learning the basics of a system. Geographic information providers need geoportals to enable access to spatial data and services via the Internet; and it is a first step in creating Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI).

This article is focused on the utilisation of force, specifically the impulse of force in self-defence. It also points out the fact that this field suffers from a great shortage of specialised measurements and experiments. This results in the general public, professionals and authorities active in criminal proceeding shaving distorted views. Further, the article describes the research focused on the impulse of force of a straight punch. The article consists of the description of the actual experiment, individual elements and equipment employed together with the analysis of the results.
