Medication administration in healthcare institutions is one of the critical processes that need to be carefully considered from the risk management point of view. Medical administration errors are costly from several perspectives as they lead to injuries, illness or even death and finally, significantly increase hospital expense. In this article, we argue that efficient risk management approaches for medication administration business processes are needed. Risks should be identified and mitigated well before critical error occurs. The presented work describes issues of healthcare business process risk individuation and propose a methodology for business process re-engineering to mitigate the identified risks. To show the potential impact of the approach, we illustrate the functioning of the methodology on the scenario derived from the application domain of the Nursy Rolly™industrial R&D project.

Color is a basic aspect of human perception and will effect on the people's spirit as one part of living environments. Some experiments have proved that the different color will play an important role on enhancing cognitive task performance, and the people's moods and behaviors can also be changed by the colors. It is said that the different color has been shown to have different associations within the cognitive domain. In this paper, we present the results of the subjects watching the colors under the brainwave bands analysis. A simple visual color stimulus is done with the dependence on frequency during subjects watching the stimuli for a long time. By analyzing data after 300ms during the stimuli happened for avoiding the effect of early response, we proposed that the subject could produce visual “synchronization” phenomenon like auditory synchronization.

It is widely acknowledged that Requirements engineering (RE) has an important implication for the overall success of software or system development projects. As more and more organizations consider RE as the principal problem areas in the projects, improving RE process therefore appears critical for future business success. Moreover, nowadays there are evidences that support improving RE process maturity can contributes to improved business performance. There exist generic Software Process Improvement (SPI) standards, specialised RE process improvement models as well as guidance and advices on RE. However, they suffer from various issues that limit their adoption by organizations that are interested to assess and improve their RE process capability. Therefore, the research presented in this paper proposes a new RE process improvement model. The model is built by adapting and expanding the structure of the continuous representation of the formal maturity framework Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) developed by the Software engineering Institute (SEI) through three rounds of development and validation stages, which involved RE and CMMI expert panel in the software industry. This paper aims to provide an overview on what, why and how we build the maturity model for RE. The intention is to provide a foundation for future development in the area of RE process improvement.

This paper present a study of the effects of frequency converters to the power grid and a possible solution for current distortions compensation. Experimental measurements made, at different points of the grid, with the device Fluke 434 to a converter which supplies a 110 kW asynchronous motor, reveal the distortions of current. Harmonics content of current for the three phases and THD distortion factor emphasize the existence of strong distortions of current. Current compensation method, proposed and simulated, consists in collecting a sample of non-sinusoidal current from the inverter input resistance or using a current transformer, which will be decreased from a sinusoidal reference signal. This difference is amplified and synchronized, so that it can be injected back into the grid. Simulations above described method are made in Matlab-Simulink Power Systems.
