The rapid growth of electronic commerce (e-commerce) has revolutionized the global business landscape, transforming the way consumers and businesses interact, purchase, and sell goods and services. However, this sector faces a myriad of challenges that impede its sustainable growth and development. This research paper critically examines the current problems encountered by the electronic commerce sector and proposes viable solutions to address these issues. The study identifies three major problem areas affecting the sector: (1) Security and Privacy Concerns, (2) Logistics and Supply Chain Bottlenecks, and (3) Customer Experience and Trust. Regarding security and privacy, the proliferation of cyber-attacks, data breaches, and identity theft has eroded consumer confidence, hindering e-commerce adoption. The paper aims to investigate the latest technologies and best practices, such as blockchain, advanced encryption techniques, and robust authentication methods, to fortify e-commerce platforms against cyber threats and safeguard user data. The second problem area, logistics and supply chain bottleneck, poses challenges related to order fulfilment, inventory management, and last-mile delivery. Through an in-depth analysis, the research proposes innovative approaches like utilizing machine learning algorithms for predictive inventory management, integrating Internet of Things (IoT) devices for real-time tracking, and exploring drone and autonomous vehicle deliveries to enhance overall logistics efficiency. The third issue addressed in this paper pertains to customer experience and trust. The inability to tangibly experience products before purchase, coupled with ambiguous return policies, often deters potential customers from engaging in e-commerce transactions. Tibang is one of the villages in Banda Aceh which is located in a high tsunami-hazard zone. Today, many initial aid houses in the area have grown larger than the original, and new housing complex has begun to emerge. Therefore, it is necessary to find an efficient method to map the buildings in the village, so that an up-to-date buildings map of the village can be prepared quickly. Machine learning GIS is the use of machine learning algorithms in processing and analyzing spatially-based GIS data. This study aimed at applying the Support Vector Machines (SVM) method of GIS Machine learning for classifying buildings in a very-high-resolution image of Tibang Village, SVM has been used with Object-Based Image analysis (OBIA) to classify UAV-based images for various Land-Use / Land Cover (LULC) applications. The stages in classifying buildings using SVM are starting with processing high-resolution data from UAV photos to create an ortho-mosaic image. The image was then segmented using OBIA techniques and then was classified using the SVM method. The result of the SVM classification was 230 house objects identified in the village of Tibang, Syiah Kuala District with the number of training data samples used for the building class being 29 with various variations of the shape of the building objects identified in the UAV images. © 2022 IEEE.

Named Data Networking (NDN) has been introduced as the future internet architecture adopting a new network architecture that impacts changes in the applications developed. NDN brings about the transition from host-centric communication to information-centric communication, where data are masterpieces. The process of retrieving and requesting data on ndn by utilizing the naming scheme. The naming scheme will affect how long it takes to find and obtain the desired data. There are several basic naming schemes, such as flat naming, hierarchical naming, and hybrid naming, where each has a different performance. In addition, there are also several schemes have been modified to optimize the existing scheme such as entropy approach, name component encoding, and smart name lookup. © 2022 IEEE.

Real-time integration within the SAP HANA (High-Performance Analytics Appliance) environment through open-source components signifies a substantial financial investment in information technology (IT) projects. The prevalence of budget overruns, delays in implementation, and imprecise forecasts remain significant factors contributing to project failures. This has led many companies to adopt the usage of real-time insights in planning and decision-making facilities. By keeping the fundamental components of SAP, businesses can upgrade their information systems without having to completely reconfigure them, which proves to be cost-effective. This study initiates an exploration of the intricate integration of large language model (LLM), LangChain, and SAP HANA, underlining the intrinsic value of real-time insights and their multi-faceted applications. The study's main objective is to provide individuals with a road map for utilizing these essential components, customized to their enterprise's specific phase of development. The main goal of this paper was to find out how the gender and age group acoustical models behave on audio data that is in no way related to the data corpora used to train and evaluate the models. These models could be used for early predator detection in minors’ audio chats. The datasets used for training were mainly composed of English speakers. One part was made up of speakers whose native language is English and the rest use English as a secondary language. © 2023 IEEE.

Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs) are used for space heating and cooling. They form a Renewable Energy System (RES), combined with Ground Heat Exchangers (GHEs) to extract or reject heat from/to the ground. GHEs come in various types such as vertical or horizontal. Compared to conventionalAir Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), GSHPs, although having a higher installation cost, exhibit a higher coefficient of performance (COP). The aim of this paper is to address whether it is economically feasible to install a GSHP as an alternative to an ASHP. In addition, as the environmental impact of a system does not lie in a single aspect, e.g., the cost or COP, it is also useful to identify whether a GSHP system is indeed a sufficiently overall greener solution than an ASHP system. To this end, a case study of a residential building with nearly Zero Energy Building (nZEB) characteristics, for certain heating and cooling loads is considered in Mediterranean, Central and Northern Europe climate conditions. Using GLD software, a GSHP system is studied for a typical vertical U-tube GHE configuration to estimate the length of the boreholes and the COP of the systems. Then, an environmental impact analysis is presented for different GSHP systems in comparison to ASHP systems. The systems undergo a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), with the annual heating and cooling load as functional unit. The openLCA software is used with the ReCiPe method with a mid-point perspective. The Global Warming Potential impact category is studied. Finally, a cost analysis is presented for the GSHP systems in comparison to ASHP systems and the total energy savings is obtained per case. Hence, the cost breakeven point is estimated per case and is used to assess the viability of each system. the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm is a famous metaheuristic technique that has been successfully applied in various optimization issues. It mimics the foraging conduct of ants to locate the shortest path among meals assets and their colony. Recently, ACO has been increasingly more applied for provider composition in multi-cloud environments. This involves the composition of offerings from different cloud carriers to satisfy the service necessities of a person. By way of using ACO, services can be correctly selected and composed from a couple of carriers, considering elements including cost, excellent, and availability. ACO has proven promising outcomes in enhancing the overall performance and reliability of carrier composition in multi-cloud environments, making it a precious technique in todays tremendously distributed computing landscape. © 2024 IEEE.

Food Waste(FW)is a pressing environmental concern that affects every country *** one-third of the food that is produced ends up as waste,contributing to the carbon ***,the FW must be properly treated to reduce environmental *** study evaluates a few available Food Waste Treatment(FWT)technologies,such as anaerobic digestion,composting,landfill,and incineration,which are widely used.A Bipolar Picture Fuzzy Set(BPFS)is proposed to deal with the ambiguity and uncertainty that arise when converting a real-world problem to a mathematical model.A novel Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation-Stable Preference Ordering Towards Ideal Solution(CRITIC-SPOTIS)approach is developed to objectively analyze FWT selection based on thirteen criteria covering the industry’s technical,environmental,and entrepreneurial *** CRITIC method is used for the objective analysis of the importance of each criterion in FWT *** SPOTIS method is adopted to rank the alternative hassle-free,following the *** proposed model offers a rank reversal-free model,i.e.,the rank of the alternatives remains unaffected even after the addition or removal of an *** addition,comparative and sensitivity analyses are performed to ensure the reliability and robustness of the proposed model and to validate the proposed result.

Designing efficient methods and policies for mitigating microbursts requires a thorough understanding of microburst characteristics and behaviors. However, the lack of detailed studies on microburst characteristics and comprehensive tools for measuring and analyzing them has been a significant challenge for researchers in this field. We introduce BurstVision, a tool that extracts various characteristics of microbursts from traffic traces. Using BurstVision, we analyze several traffic traces from various cloud datacenter applications and report on the diverse characteristics of microbursts observed. Our analysis reveals that microburst characteristics significantly vary across applications. Moreover, we discuss how these varying characteristics can influence the effectiveness of different microburst mitigation solutions. Our findings highlight the importance of considering the specific type and characteristics of microbursts in traffic when adopting a microburst mitigation solution.

Recent extensions of Datalog that consider the temporal dimension as a first-class citizen have unlocked the possibility of using its temporal variants, such as DatalogMTL, to model and reason about complex financial domains. Very relevant ones are crypto-activity markets, which, according to the recent Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) of the EU, are described by white papers published by crypto-assets issuers. In particular, the issuers publish semi-structured information about the assets they are willing to offer. Then, the assets are implemented in decentralized finance contexts (i.e., in a blockchain) as executable scripts known as smart contracts. However, these scripts are often criticized for their complexity, which makes them challenging to understand and communicate. On the other hand, in our experience, the availability of a declarative and executable representation of a crypto-activity market fosters a better understanding of that market as well as improved transparency, reproducibility and, as a consequence, increased fairness. These characteristics are of major interest to the financial authorities for example for supervision purposes. In this paper, we study the problem of automatically translating textual descriptions of crypto-assets, written according to the MiCAR specifications, into DatalogMTL programs that represent and capture the respective crypto-activity market. To this end, we opt for a machine translation approach and leverage a Large Language Model. We discuss promising techniques and preliminary experimental results. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors.
