Traffic flow prediction is a crucial aspect of intelligent transportation systems. It holds significant importance in optimizing traffic management and enhancing road safety. However, the task of traffic flow forecasting remains a significant challenge due to its inherent complexity, dynamic nature, and the presence of long-range dependencies. Existing graph neural network methods exhibit two primary limitations. Firstly, when static graphs are employed to capture spatial dependencies, they fail to account for the dynamics in these dependencies. Secondly, these methods struggle to effectively capture long-range spatial dependencies. Furthermore, attention-based methods, while potentially addressing some of these issues, require substantial computational and memory resources, leading to inefficiencies. We design a cross-network model that combines Transformer and Mamba architectures for traffic flow prediction, which efficiently captures dynamic long-range spatio-temporal dependencies. The model architecture is composed of three main components: a learnable spatio-temporal embedding layer that adaptively captures the unique features of different nodes and time;stacked spatio-temporal blocks, which include two temporal blocks and one spatial block arranged between them to effectively capture spatio-temporal dependencies;and a fully connected output layer that generates the final predictions. Experiments on three public real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of TransMamba. Specifically, the model improves the mean absolute error (MAE) and root mean square error (RMSE) by 2.59% and 4.14%, respectively, on the PeMS08 dataset. Additionally, ablation studies confirm the effectiveness and efficiency of each component of the model. © 2024 IEEE.

Domain generalization methods aim to learn transferable knowledge from source domains that can generalize well to unseen target domains. Recent studies show that neural networks frequently suffer from a simplicity-biased learning behavior which leads to over-reliance on specific frequency sets, namely as frequency shortcuts, instead of semantic information, resulting in poor generalization performance. Despite previous data augmentation techniques successfully enhancing generalization performances, they intend to apply more frequency shortcuts, thereby causing hallucinations of generalization improvement. In this paper, we aim to prevent such learning behavior of applying frequency shortcuts from a data-driven perspective. Given the theoretical justification of models' biased learning behavior on different spatial frequency components, which is based on the dataset frequency properties, we argue that the learning behavior on various frequency components could be manipulated by changing the dataset statistical structure in the Fourier domain. Intuitively, as frequency shortcuts are hidden in the dominant and highly dependent frequencies of dataset structure, dynamically perturbating the over-reliance frequency components could prevent the application of frequency shortcuts. To this end, we propose two effective data augmentation modules designed to collaboratively and adaptively adjust the frequency characteristic of the dataset, aiming to dynamically influence the learning behavior of the model and ultimately serving as a strategy to mitigate shortcut learning. Automatic Speaker Identification (ASI) is so crucial for security. Current ASI systems perform well in quiet and clean surroundings. However, in noisy situations, the robustness of an ASI system against additive noise and interference is a crucial factor. An investigation of the impact of interference on ASI system performance is presented in this paper, which introduces algorithms for achieving high ASI system performance. The objective is to resist the interference of various forms. This paper presents two models for the ASI task in the presence of interference. The first one depends on Normalized Pitch Frequency (NPF) and Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) as extracted features and Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) as a classifier. In this model, we investigate the utilization of a Discrete Transform (DT), such as Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Discrete Sine Transform (DST), to increase the robustness of extracted features against different types of degradation through exploiting the sub-band decomposition characteristics of DWT and the energy compaction property of DCT and DST. This is achieved by extracting features directly from contaminated speech signals in addition to features extracted from discrete transformed signals to create hybrid feature vectors. The enhancement techniques, such as Spectral Subtraction (SS), Winer Filter, and adaptive Wiener filter, are used in a preprocessing stage to eliminate the effect of the interference on the ASI system. In the second model, we investigate the utilization of Deep Learning (DL) based on a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with speech signal spectrograms and their Radon transforms to increase the robustness of the ASI system against interference effects. In this letter, a triple-mode wideband filtering antenna with planar configuration is presented. The designed antenna has a single substrate layer, which consists of one half-mode circular patch resonator, one half-mode rectangular patch resonator, and one rectangular SIW cavity, and it is fed through the conventional coaxial probe. On the basis of the field analysis, these three types of resonators are compactly integrated without disturbing the resonant properties of their dominant modes. Given this, three resonant modes of half-TM11, half-TM10, and TE11 are well generated, so as to form a widened operating band. Meanwhile, four radiation nulls are produced from far-field radiation cancellation with the increased radiation boundaries. For validation, a prototype antenna with the center frequency of 2.8 GHz is designed and fabricated. The measured results indicate that the proposed antenna achieves an improved fractional bandwidth of 15.7% under three in-band resonances. Besides, four radiation nulls created at 2.32, 3.22, 3.49, and 3.89 GHz in stopband effectively enhance the out-of-band suppression level. Moreover, low profile of 0.037λ0 is also implemented. © 2002-2011 IEEE.

Scalability has grown more important as blockchain technology is adopted. This study introduces RSA-accumulator-based stateless blockchain performance optimization. Verifiable computing technology and distributed design compress node state data and prove smart contract validity, while a new smart contract execution logic and transaction verification scheme solve the problem of transaction verification and execution under stateless conditions, increasing system throughput. The technique reduces consensus node storage and improves throughput compared to Ethereum blockchains, according to experiments. This study examines the scheme's concept, implementation, and blockchain scalability potential. © 2023 SPIE.

Blockchain is the technology on which cryptocurrencies operate within the 6G Internet of Things. Due to its flexibility, it has received significant adoption in numerous applications as a possible distributed data management solution. Nonetheless, a significant obstacle that impedes blockchain's potential is its constrained scalability, which limits its capacity to facilitate applications requiring frequent transactions. Conversely, edge computing, an innovative technology, addresses the limitations of conventional cloud-based systems by decentralizing cloud functionalities and alleviating problems such as elevated latency and insufficient security. Nonetheless, edge computing presently encounters challenges related to decentralized governance and security. As a result, the integration of blockchain and edge computing within a cohesive framework offers substantial benefits, such as dependable network access and governance, decentralized storage, and computing at the peripheries. This integration effectively mitigates many security problems and guarantees data integrity in edge computing contexts. This article offers a comprehensive analysis of blockchain technology, its attributes, and its relevance in the context of 6G. Additionally, it investigates the amalgamation of blockchain and edge computing, analyzes diverse application cases, and addresses the related issues. Finally, the report delineates contemporary research trajectories and draws conclusions based on the findings. © 2024 IEEE.

ChatGPT, an AI-based chatbot, offers coherent and useful replies based on analysis of large volumes of data. In this article, leading academics, scientists, distinguish researchers and engineers discuss the transformative effects of ChatGPT on modern education. This research discusses ChatGPT capabilities and its use in the education sector, identifies potential concerns and challenges. Our preliminary evaluation shows that ChatGPT perform differently in different subject areas including finance, coding, maths, and general public queries. While ChatGPT has the ability to help educators by creating instructional content, offering suggestions and acting as an online educator to learners by answering questions, transforming education through smartphones and IoT gadgets, and promoting group work, there are clear drawbacks in its use, such as the possibility of producing inaccurate or false data and circumventing duplicate content (plagiarism) detectors where originality is essential. The often reported "hallucinations" within GenerativeAI in general, and also relevant for ChatGPT, can render its use of limited benefit where accuracy is essential. What ChatGPT lacks is a stochastic measure to help provide sincere and sensitive communication with its users. Academic regulations and evaluation practices used in educational institutions need to be updated, should ChatGPT be used as a tool in education. To address the transformative effects of ChatGPT on the learning environment, educating teachers and students alike about its capabilities and limitations will be crucial. © 2023 The Authors

Frequency hopping (FH) technique has been extensively used for high security communication because of its strong anti-jamming ability and good confidentiality. However, with the continuous advancement of electronic attacks, plenty of energy limited devices in the Internet of Things (IoT) are experiencing a sharp increase in interference, which poses serious challenges to the current FH sequence generation techniques. In this paper, we propose a novel FH sequence generation scheme by exploiting an ultra-lightweight block cipher (PRESENT), which strikes an effective balance between security and efficiency. Specifically, the values related to channel gain are mapped to corresponding FH codes through the output of lightweight block cipher algorithm. Moreover, the security of the proposed scheme has been analyzed. It turns out that the FH sequences generated by PRESENT algorithm outperform the FH sequences generated by a bit-slice lightweight block cipher suitable for multiple platforms (RECTANGLE) and a lightweight block cipher (LBlock) in terms of uniformity, randomness and complexity. © 2023 IEEE.
