Data hiding aims to insert data into a content to achieve specific purposes, including claiming ownership through watermarking, validating the integrity of the content in authentication, and providing extra/paid features, to name a few. Data hiding concerns three conflicting requirement aspects, namely, quality, capacity, and robustness. For many years, researchers have aimed to insert as much data as possible while minimizing quality deterioration and maximizing robustness. However, in a typical data hiding method where the content is modified to encode data, the quality of the host is always degraded. In this work, we introduce the concept of complete quality preservation, which is a reference-based measure, and formalize a general metric to establish complete quality preservation for different media. We discuss three typical ways to achieve complete quality preservation in data hiding, and comment on potential approaches that are worthy for future exploration. © 2025 IEEE.

In the contemporary business landscape, software has evolved into a strategic asset crucial for organizations seeking sustainable competitive advantage. The imperative of ensuring software quality becomes evident as low-quality software systems pose formidable challenges to organizational performance. This study delves into the profound impact of three key dimensions of information system quality on organizational performance—information quality (IQ), quality of service (QoS), and software quality (SQ). Anchored in the DeLone and McLean information system (IS) success model, a quantitative questionnaire was administered to 360 industry experts and academics. Rigorous data analysis, employing exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM), revealed significant positive effects of all three quality dimensions on organizational performance. Among these dimensions, software quality emerged as the most influential, showcasing substantial total effects, closely followed by information and service qualities. The study underscores the tangible value derived from strategic investments in enhancing software, information, and service quality. Elevating these facets manifests as a catalyst for improved organizational performance, empowering decision-makers with accurate and timely information while enhancing user satisfaction with the system. This research contributes significantly to the IS success literature by empirically validating the synergistic relationship between information quality, service quality, software quality, and organizational outcomes. The systematic analysis offered in this study goes beyond theoretical validation, providing actionable insights for managers. The findings guide the prioritization of quality initiatives and resource allocation, enabling organizations to maximize competitive advantage. With the rapid expansion of industrial IoT (IIoT), maintaining robust cybersecurity is essential for the smooth operation of industrial processes. Industrial environments require adaptive solutions to effectively mitigate evolving cyber threats and protect sensitive operations. This research aims to improve the cybersecurity of industrial IoT environments. The research intends to design and implement an adaptive and real-time intrusion detection system with edge computing integration that improves the reliability of the operations in industrial IoT. We incorporated machine learning approaches to classify cyber threats using XGBoost and Deep Neural Networks (DNN). A comparative analysis of results obtained from two datasets shows that the XGBoost model was slightly more accurate than the DNN model, with an accuracy of 79% for dataset D1 and approximately 99.42% for data set D2. This analysis also clearly demonstrates the usefulness of these machine learning approaches and the need to select a model depending on the requirements for detecting particular attacks. Confusion matrix analysis shows that both models have several advantages in terms of recognizing different types of cyber threats. © 2025 The Authors.

With the intensification of market competition and the diversification of customer demands, efficient inventory management has become a key factor for the success of enterprises. Warehouse demand forecasting, as a core aspect of inventory management, is of great significance for enterprises to reasonably arrange production, optimize inventory levels, and reduce costs. This paper delves into the prediction and optimization methods of warehouse demand changes based on machine learning algorithms, with a particular focus on three powerful algorithms: Random Forest, XGBoost, and *** LightGBM model performed the best. The lowest MSE can provide a lower prediction error, and the highest R2 value, which is close to 0.786, can better fit the *** research results fully demonstrate that machine learning algorithms have significant application value and potential in the field of predicting changes in warehouse demand. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

With the rapid development of intelligent transportation systems and growing emphasis on driver safety, real-time detection of driver drowsiness has become a critical area of research. This study presents a robust and scalable driver drowsiness detection framework that integrates a Swin Transformer-based deep learning model with a diffusion model for image denoising. While conventional convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are effective in standard vision tasks, they often suffer performance degradation in real-world driving scenarios due to noise, poor lighting, motion blur, and adversarial attacks. To address these challenges, the proposed model focuses on eye-state detection, specifically, prolonged eye closure, as a primary indicator of driver disengagement and fatigue. Our system introduces a novel preprocessing stage using a denoising diffusion model built on a U-Net encoder-decoder architecture, effectively mitigating the impact of Gaussian noise and adversarial perturbations. Additionally, we incorporate adversarial training with Fast Gradient Sign Method (FGSM) and Projected Gradient Descent (PGD) attacks, demonstrating significant improvements in classification accuracy and resilience. Evaluations are conducted on two benchmark datasets, Eye-Blink and Closed Eyes in the Wild (CEW), under both clean and noisy conditions. Comparative experiments show that the proposed system outperforms several state-of-the-art models, including ViT, ResNet50V2, InceptionV3, MobileNet, DenseNet169, and VGG19, in terms of accuracy (up to 99.82%), PSNR (up to 41.61 dB), and SSIM (up to 0.984), while maintaining competitive inference times suitable for practical deployment. Moreover, a detailed sensitivity analysis of data augmentation strategies reveals that techniques such as rotation and horizontal flip substantially enhance the model’s generalization across variable visual inputs. Visual question answering(VQA)is a multimodal task,involving a deep understanding of the image scene and the question’s meaning and capturing the relevant correlations between both modalities to infer the appropriate *** this paper,we propose a VQA system intended to answer yes/no questions about real-world images,in *** support a robust VQA system,we work in two directions:(1)Using deep neural networks to semantically represent the given image and question in a fine-grainedmanner,namely ResNet-152 and Gated Recurrent Units(GRU).(2)Studying the role of the utilizedmultimodal bilinear pooling fusion technique in the *** the model complexity and the overall model *** fusion techniques could significantly increase the model complexity,which seriously limits their applicability for VQA *** far,there is no evidence of how efficient these multimodal bilinear pooling fusion techniques are for VQA systems dedicated to yes/no ***,a comparative analysis is conducted between eight bilinear pooling fusion techniques,in terms of their ability to reduce themodel complexity and improve themodel performance in this case of VQA *** indicate that these multimodal bilinear pooling fusion techniques have improved the VQA model’s performance,until reaching the best performance of 89.25%.Further,experiments have proven that the number of answers in the developed VQA system is a critical factor that *** the effectiveness of these multimodal bilinear pooling techniques in achieving their main objective of reducing the model *** Multimodal Local Perception Bilinear Pooling(MLPB)technique has shown the best balance between the model complexity and its performance,for VQA systems designed to answer yes/no questions.

In response to the escalating demand for electricity, the aging process and inherent failures in power lines have become unavoidable challenges in their operational integrity. This research addresses the imperative need for a robust method to detect damage in power insulator disc images, introducing a novel feature extraction technique grounded in color intensity profile transformation and ensemble learning. For the purposes of the research, a specific dataset was developed based on publicly available images of power insulators. The collection consists of 9232 images of insulator discs which included 2184 images of damaged discs. The discernible damages include breakages and burnouts. Two distinct analysis variants were employed. In the first variant (V1), two classification groups were selected: disc with damages and disc without damages. In the second variant (V2), three classification groups were selected: discs without damage, broken discs, and burnout discs. The described research was divided into two successive stages. In the first of them (S1), the transformed color intensity profiles for the prepared data set were built and various machine learning models for their classification were trained and evaluated. In the next stage (S2), previously developed, highest efficient machine learning models, were used to make the detection of various damaged types of overhead line insulator discs. For the first stage of research high-performance results and a high value of the F1 score parameters were obtained (F1 score = 0.999 for the first variant (S1V1) and F1 score = 0.992 for the second variant (S1V2). A voiceprint system recognizes an individual using their voice biometrics for person recognition purpose. Voiceprint offers notable advantages in convenience and cost since it only requires a microphone, a ubiquitous component in smartphones, making it highly practical for user identity management such as personalized customer support by recognizing the user using just their voice. This paper proposes a voiceprint recognition system to combine Mel-Frequency Cepstrum Coefficients (MFCC) and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), which is termed MFCC-GRU method. The resulting mixture is extremely useful in voiceprint recognition, as it could accurately capture and evaluate the unique characteristics and temporal dynamics of an individual’s voice for identity verification. The proposed method is tested on three voiceprint datasets and achieving the highest accuracy of 98.17% at best. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

This paper explores using large language models (LLM) for automatic and source-to-source programming across various cross-platform languages and libraries, including generating CUDA code for high performance computing (HPC). Our proposed solution aims to demonstrate the capabilities of ChatGPT in generating valid CUDA code based on existing OpenMP code obtained from a polyhedral compilers Traco and Dapt. Specifically, we intend to showcase the model’s proficiency in producing equivalent and valid GPU code. Furthermore, we extend the application of our solution by prompting the AI model to generate similar code for another input benchmark, emphasizing its adaptability and versatility across different scenarios. This approach seeks to highlight the model’s capacity to provide automated and efficient solutions for diverse programming challenges. We chose non-trivial kernels from the non-serial polyadic dynamic programming (NPDP) benchmark with non-uniform loops. The focus is on ensuring code validity and understanding limitations in obtaining valid CUDA code. Additionally, we assess the efficiency and scalability of NVIDIA A100 GPU codes generated by artificial intelligence (AI) models, comparing them with optimized Intel Xeon Gold CPU codes from polyhedral optimizers. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
