Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have recently attractedwidespread attention in civil and commercial *** example,UAVs(or drone)technology is increasingly used in crowd monitoring solutions due to its wider air footprint and the ability to capture data in real ***,due to the open atmosphere,drones can easily be lost or captured by attackers when reporting information to the crowd management *** addition,the attackers may initiate malicious detection to disrupt the crowd-sensing communication ***,security and privacy are one of the most significant challenges faced by drones or the Internet of Drones(IoD)that supports the Internet of Things(IoT).In the literature,we can find some authenticated key agreement(AKA)schemes to protect access control between entities involved in the IoD ***,the AKA scheme involves many vulnerabilities in terms of security and *** this paper,we propose an enhancedAKAsolution for crowdmonitoring applications that require secure communication between drones and controlling *** scheme supports key security features,including anti-forgery attacks,and confirms user *** security characteristics of our scheme are analyzed byNS2 simulation and verified by a random oracle *** simulation results and proofs show that the proposed scheme sufficiently guarantees the security of crowd-aware communication.

We devise a neural network-based temporal-textual framework that generates subgraphs with highly correlated authors from short-text contents. Our approach computes the relevance score (edge weight) between authors by considering a portmanteau of contents and concepts. It then employs a stack-wise graph-cutting algorithm to extract communities of related authors. Experimental results show that our multi-aspect vector space model can gain higher performance than other knowledge-centered competitors in linking short-text authors. © 2024 IEEE.

Underwater communication systems have garnered significant interest due to the limitations of the wireless spectrum and the growing need for sustained, covert communication capabilities. However, existing systems face significant challenges from doubly dispersive channels that cause time and frequency fading, disrupting the orthogonality of conventional OFDM subcarriers and leading to severe inter-symbol interference (ISI), even with complex equalizers like MMSE. This paper proposes a Fractional Fourier Transform (FrFT)-based OFDM system, offering better adaptability in the time-frequency domain. The FrFT-OFDM system effectively concentrates power around the diagonal of the channel matrix, mitigating Doppler shifts and multipath fading, thus enhancing spectral efficiency and robustness. A low-complexity equalizer is introduced, reducing computational demands while maintaining high performance, ensuring practical real-time application in underwater environments. Simulation results show that the proposed DFrFT-OFDM system with the optimized equalizer surpasses traditional OFDM under severe channel dispersion, demonstrating improved bit error rates and signal-to-noise ratios by about 3 db. This confirms its capability for reliable underwater communication with reduced computational overhead by about 90% comparing the OFDM with MMSA and DFrFT-OFDM with bande MMSA, marking a significant step forward for high-performance data transmission in challenging aquatic environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Telemarketing is a well-established marketing approach to offering products and services to prospective *** effectiveness of such an approach,however,is highly dependent on the selection of the appropriate consumer base,as reaching uninterested customers will induce annoyance and consume costly enterprise resources in vain while missing interested *** introduction of business intelligence and machine learning models can positively influence the decision-making process by predicting the potential customer base,and the existing literature in this direction shows promising ***,the selection of influential features and the construction of effective learning models for improved performance remain a ***,from the modelling perspective,the class imbalance nature of the training data,where samples with unsuccessful outcomes highly outnumber successful ones,further compounds the problem by creating biased and inaccurate ***,customer preferences are likely to change over time due to various reasons,and/or a fresh group of customers may be targeted for a new product or service,necessitating model retraining which is not addressed at all in existing works.A major challenge in model retraining is maintaining a balance between stability(retaining older knowledge)and plasticity(being receptive to new information).To address the above issues,this paper proposes an ensemble machine learning model with feature selection and oversampling techniques to identify potential customers more accurately.A novel online learning method is proposed for model retraining when new samples are available over *** newly introduced method equips the proposed approach to deal with dynamic data,leading to improved readiness of the proposed model for practical adoption,and is a highly useful addition to the *** experiments with real-world data show that the proposed approach achieves excellent results in all cases(e.g.,98.6

Insects are generally characterized as organisms that have negative impacts on both human health and the environment in areas where human habitation exists. These pests typically inhabit and reproduce in locations that contain waste, such as garbage sites, abandoned places, and septic tanks. House flies, for instance, can significantly affect the daily lives of individuals and even prompt widespread epidemics by transmitting diseases to humans. To mitigate the proliferation of pests and minimize their environmental damage, pest control is a crucial responsibility that falls under the jurisdiction of municipalities in Turkey. Municipalities commonly utilize chemical-based methods that are non-hazardous to humans and the environment while concurrently efficacious in exterminating pests or thwarting their reproduction. These chemicals are typically prepared by experts and then applied to the areas in which the pests reside. However, the primary issue that municipalities encounter is the vast expanse of land that needs to be managed, coupled with limited resources in terms of both human labor and equipment, alongside the dispersal of pests' living and breeding locations throughout a broad territory. To address this problem, this study employed the coordinates of previously identified insect nests. These nests were divided into clusters based on predetermined criteria using the k-means method within the municipality borders. Then, utilizing Google or-tools, the distance to be covered by the vehicle for each cluster was calculated. Finally, comparisons were made between the obtained results, and various recommendations were proposed. © 2023 IEEE.

Internet of Things is no longer a new topic. Long ago, the network of things was a rare thing which could be seen only in offices, industries, and labs. Nowadays it is approaching becoming a ubiquitous appliance as a commonplace in everyday environments. Homes and public places such as traffic and city parks have changed to adapt with things within the ability to connect to a network. As a result, even commoners are becoming familiar with IoT. Researchers lay the new technologies into IoT networks. Developers drive them into industry and practitioners carry the aesthetic essence by carrying on the practice among people. In doing so, choosing the correct operating system for the correct device is a step not to be skipped as the learning curve grows up to advanced. This study aims to aid the practitioners by discussing the risks and realities concerned with the role of OS in IoT devices or systems.

This paper focuses on how to use continuous integration (CI) and continuous Delivery (CD) methodology in DevOps to reduce the developer-operator gap. It also, shows how CI can be a CD bridge. The paper review DevOps and analyze strategies, methodologies, issues, and processes identified for the adoption and implementation of continuing practices. The result of our case studies shows the benefits, and advantages of using CI/CD in software development. Furthermore, this paper presents DevOps as a new model for reducing the gaps between development (Dev) and operations (ops). The Azure tool is used as DevOps CI/CD for the empowerment of continuous delivery of software to enable rapid and frequent releases, this enables rapid responses to changing customer requirements and thus it may be a decisive competitive advantage. This paper also measures the effectiveness of using CI/CD for reducing the time and effort in software development. We also, focus on the DevOps initiative to benefit of CI/CD and to effect of enhances flexibility in delivering the program with the expected quality on time to determine the areas that bridge the gap between Continuous Integration for Continuous Delivery. The methodology used in this paper by exploring and tracking a project developed by the company using the Azure software development tool. The experiment includes a project performance and evaluation. © 2022 IEEE.
