Numerous diverse learning materials can be found on e-learning sites. Students in today's e-learning platforms invest a lot of time and energy in locating pertinent learning materials. The student's actual requirements must be taken into account based on a variety of characteristics, including choices, expertise, and learning style. Education must be pertinent to the necessary concept's environment. This study aims to develop an efficient approach for detecting e-learning style and then customizing the e-learning contents to match that style, using machine learning (ML) algorithms to enhance personalization in e-learning. The blended ensemble method combined with the XGBoost meta-learning approach produced the most prominent results for enhancing e-learning style, with an accuracy of 97.6%. Further, the textual material of the e-files is altered using various natural language processing (NLP) approaches. The spaCy NLP-oriented labeled entity identification (LEI) algorithm achieves a 94.2% F1 value and a 0.92 precise match ratio while color-coded textual production of 10 e-files with 790 different phrases. These alterations are intended to suit students' tastes, resulting in an additional personalized and interactive teaching encounter.

The role of moral intention and moral obligation in predicting attitudes toward avoiding AIgiarism: A protection motivation theory perspective

Traditional methods of combating plagiarism have proven ineffective due to the dual use of AI chatbots to plagiarize and avoid detection. Therefore, there is a growing rationale to focus on moral responsibility towards protecting academic integrity. This study investigated the impact of students' moral intentions and moral obligations on their attitudes toward avoiding AI-assisted plagiarism (AIgiarism). Data was collected from a representative group of 263 students and analyzed using “partial least squares structural equation modeling” (PLS-SEM) and “artificial neural network” (ANN). The results revealed that students' moral intentions and obligations positively influenced their attitudes towards avoiding AIgarism. “Protection motivation theory” (PMT) constructs positively predicted students' moral intentions. Moreover, the results of the ANN analysis showed that moral obligation and intention were the most critical factors influencing students’ attitudes toward avoiding plagiarism. This study will help educational institutions develop AI-supported anti-plagiarism solutions in areas such as identification, instilling moral responsibility, and creating an environment of trust and support. © 2025 The Authors

Essential proteins play an essential role in cell survival and replication. Currently, more and more computational methods are developed to identify essential proteins, which overcome the time-consuming, costly and inefficient shortcomings with biological experimental methods. In order to improve the recognition rate, some new methods by fusing multiple features are developed, but they seldom consider the connection among features. After analyzing a large number of methods based on multi-feature fusion, a phenomenon among features is found, called weak consensus, then a weak consensus model to fuse these features is proposed in this paper. After analyzing the relationship between a protein and its neighbors in protein-protein interaction networks, a new centrality, namely neighborhood aggregation centrality(NAC) is developed in this paper. Then, a Max-Min strategy is used to integrate NAC with Pearson correlation coefficient and Jaccard similarity coefficient based on gene expression data to obtain local importance score. In addition, orthologous feature score is used to measure proteins conservation. Finally, by using the weak consensus model to fuse orthologous feature score with local importance score, a new method WOL is proposed in this paper. Then experiments are performed on *** data. The results show that compared with WDC, PeC, ION, JDC, NCCO and E_POC, WOL has a higher recognition rate.

A QoS-aware adaptive cross-layer cyber-attack detection algorithm for vehicular networks

Securing data transmission and detecting cyber-attacks in consumer Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) pose significant challenges due to the highly dynamic topology of the network and frequent mobility of nodes. These characteristics enable attackers to exploit vulnerabilities and evade detection, making real-time attack detection complex while maintaining the Quality of Service (QoS). In this paper, we propose an Adaptive Cross-layer Cyber-attack Detection (ACCD) algorithm that dynamically detects and isolates malicious nodes while optimizing traffic routing based on application-specific requirements. The proposed algorithm uses a cross-layer traffic-aware approach to classify data flows into security-critical and delay-sensitive applications, ensuring optimal routing through the selection of Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Ad hoc On-Demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) protocols. The integration of pre-route authentication (PRA) enhances malicious node isolation, reducing the impact of selective forwarding and blocking attacks. Simulation results show that ACCD achieves lower end-to-end delay and higher Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) while effectively balancing network security and performance. © 2025

This paper addresses the problem of deploying complex systems in Kubernetes clusters. It discusses using the OperatorSDK framework supported by RedHat as a basis for implementing the Kubernetes operator for Lightweight MultiAccess Edge Computing Platform Simulator (LWMECPS) deployment. Special attention is given to the operator Kubernetes architecture and how to use Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) to continuously deploy LWMECPS and machine learning models for it.

Faster Edge Coloring by Partition Sieving

In the Edge Coloring problem, we are given an undirected graph G with n vertices and m edges, and are tasked with finding the smallest positive integer k so that the edges of G can be assigned k colors in such a way that no two edges incident to the same vertex are assigned the same color. Edge Coloring is a classic NP-hard problem, and so significant research has gone into designing fast exponential-time algorithms for solving Edge Coloring and its variants exactly. Prior work showed that Edge Coloring can be solved in 2m poly(n) time and polynomial space, and in graphs with average degree d in 2(1−Εd)m poly(n) time and exponential space, where Εd = (1/d)Θ(d3). We present an algorithm that solves Edge Coloring in 2m−3n/5 poly(n) time and polynomial space. Our result is the first algorithm for this problem which simultaneously runs in faster than 2m poly(m) time and uses only polynomial space. In graphs of average degree d, our algorithm runs in 2(1−6/(5d))m poly(n) time, which has far better dependence in d than previous results. We also consider a generalization of Edge Coloring called List Edge Coloring, where each edge e in the input graph comes with a list Le ⊆ {1, . . ., k} of colors, and we must determine whether we can assign each edge a color from its list so that no two edges incident to the same vertex receive the same color. We show that this problem can be solved in 2(1−6/(5k))m poly(n) time and polynomial space. The previous best algorithm for List Edge Coloring took 2m poly(n) time and space. Our algorithms are algebraic, and work by constructing a special polynomial P based off the input graph that contains a multilinear monomial (i.e., a monomial where every variable has degree at most one) if and only if the answer to the List Edge Coloring problem on the input graph is YES. This study explores the integration of the AI-powered adaptive learning system within the flipped classroom model and discusses programming education. The increasing demand for the acquisition of programming skills in the digital era generates the development of innovative pedagogical approaches to help students overcome the difficulties in mastering programming concepts. The study investigates how AI-based adaptive feedback influences student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. This study was conducted for 13 weeks, with two groups of undergraduate students. In one of the groups, tshe traditional flipped classroom model was applied, while in the other group, AI-driven adaptive learning tools were introduced. In this research methodology, a mixed-methods approach was adopted, integrating quantitative analyses with qualitative data. These showed that the experimental group demonstrated significant improvements in learning results and motivation, thereby realiszing the value of real-time, personalized feedback provided through the AI system. The qualitative findings revealed that with the AI system, there was an increase in student autonomy;thus, there is increased responsibility among students to collaborate in in-class participation, which helps enhance a more dynamic and cooperative learning environment. On the whole, these findings reveal important implications of the integration of AI into flipped classrooms, while at the same time, they reveal how to make the modernization of programming education achieve a better overall experience in student learning. © 2025 The Authors

Cloud environments utilize availability and usage of resources as crucial components in order to produce scalability, reliability and low cost. Such resource capabilities require autonomous systems that can handle these resources dynamically in spite of fluctuating workloads and service delivery requirements. Static models of resource management suffer from scalability and inability to react on the fly and accurately predict the demand thus causing Service Level Agreement (SLA) breaches and affecting the Quality of Service (QoS) as well as energy consumption profile. Advanced and elaborative cloud workloads require an intelligent system that can analyse the temporal and spatial patterns without impacting the overall system's performance significantly. Inspired by these challenges, this research proposes a Causal Dilated Geometric Algebra Convolutional Transformer Network (CATNet) along with the Prairie-Dog Optimizer (P-DogO), referred to as CAT-DogNet to learn and predict the dynamic scalability. CATNet integrates Causal Dilated Convolutional Networks in time domain for temporal structure capturing and Geometric Algebra Transformer for spatial resource coding. P-DogO adjusts weight parameters and losses for resource allocation, enhancing them depending on a work environment. A set of comprehensive assessments demonstrate a 0.85% SLA violation rate, average response time of less than 10ms, and overall 12.3% less energy consumption than baseline methods. The system had favourable predictability rates over 99.4% for the resource demand estimate. CAT-DogN et presents a sound and agnostic architecture for autonomous resource allocation in cloud environment, which indeed extend the state of art by considering flexibility, power consumption and QoS compliance. © 2025 IEEE.

Early detection of lung cancer, liver cancer (HCC), and pancreatitis is crucial for effective treatment. This study assessed the use of laser guidance CT scans for diagnosis and staging. 26 patients of CT scan which were collected from BVH and civil hospital Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Visible light with a 405 nm wavelength is used. Results showed staging of lung cancer (2 at stage 1, 2 at stage 2, 3 at stage 4) and HCC (stages 1 to 4a). Pancreatic diseases detected included acute pancreatitis (44%), chronic pancreatitis (22%), gallstones (22%), and pancreatic tumors (11%). Alkaline phosphatase, SGOT, and blood urea levels were notably elevated in all three cancers compared to controls. CT scans show promise in identifying cancer stages and diagnosing pancreatitis, aiding in tailored treatment. Statistical analysis shows that alkaline phosphatase emerges as a potential biomarker for these conditions. ©2025 Old City Publishing, Inc.

With the increasing number of end users that are using multimedia services, demand for access network high bitrate systems with sufficient quality of services also increases. However, this might not always be ensured by the telecom operators, as they must perform network optimization concerning Quality of Service (QoS) and multimedia data transmission. In this work, we focused on Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) performance testing with the help of various tools (iPerf, RFC 6349 or ITU-T Y.1564). The Grafana software tool is used to monitor data streams. Measurements were made to limit the downstream bitrate of up to 20 end users at 100 Mbit/s. Based on the repeated measurements, an aggregation curve is modelled indicating the available bitrate with respect to the network load. © 2025 SPIE.
