Model-driven engineering (MDE) copes with the complexity of software development by using the principles of separation of concerns and automatic transformation. In MDE, stakeholders from diverse domains collaborate concurrently on different models to quickly analyze, design, and generate complex software-intensive systems. To adopt an agile development approach in MDE, an inconsistency tolerance framework is needed. This framework postpones the resolution phase for incompatibilities caused by online cooperation, allowing temporary incompatibilities to be automatically fixed while requiring resolution only for the remaining conflicts at the appropriate time. In this paper, we propose a general framework for identifying and diagnosing inconsistencies, making decisions regarding inconsistency tolerance or intervention for resolution, and outlining tolerance strategies in agile systems modeled as multi-views. Our framework comprises three primary phases: detection, analysis, and tolerance. It is designed to identify inconsistencies in multi-view models, which are inherently more complex than single-view models. The tolerance phase employs strategies to tolerate inconsistencies, enhancing the flexibility of the agile development approach for collaborative multi-view modeling. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

In this paper the problem of testing decision making systems for MEC platforms was formulated. Methods and means of organizing the introduction of network delays as part of the emulation system of MEC platforms LWMECPS were analyzed. Test applications mec-test-app and mec-test-client are developed for testing and evaluation of the introduced network delays. Developed mec-orch-app to provide test application management and metrics collection. Experiments have been conducted to estimate the insertion latency and manage the test applications using mec-orch-app. Special attention was paid to the organization of all parts of the system as a future laboratory bench for testing decision systems using reinforcement learning machine learning algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

Presently, the global proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and applications has accelerated owing to their advantages in enhancing the business and industrial environment, as well as the daily lives of individuals. Nevertheless, IoT devices are vulnerable to malevolent network traffic, which can lead to undesirable outcomes and disrupt the operation of IoT devices. Consequently, it is imperative to devise a screening method for network traffic to identify and categorize malicious activity and reduce its harmful effects. In this regard, the present study proposes a framework and thoroughly compares single and ensemble machine learning models that are using predictive analytics to detect and classify network activity in an IoT network. Specifically, our framework and models distinguish between normal and anomalous network activity. Furthermore, network traffic is classified into eight categories, normal, denial of service (DoS) attack, Scan attack, Data Type Probing, Malicious Operation, Malicious Control, Spying attack and Wrong Setup based attack. The special focus of this paper is in identifying privacy related attacks in comparison with main cybersecurity related ones. Several supervised machine learning models have been herein implemented to characterize their performance in detecting and classifying network activities for IoT Networks based on the ensemble learning framework as well as on the single learning machines framework. Moreover, classifiers based on the statistical learning theory framework are herein involved too, including hybrid Bayesian theory models, decision trees (DT) and the ordinal Learning Modelling approach. The statistical pattern recognition based models as well as all supervised learning machines models have been evaluated on a broad benchmark dataset for IoT attacks. Blockchain technology is widely used to develop software systems in different industries such as finance, healthcare, supply chain management, data management, Internet of Things (IoT). To adopt blockchain, some critical challenges such as performance, interoperability, availability, security attacks, sustainability, and latency need to be taken into consideration. If the blockchain platform selected is not appropriate, the functionality and quality of the blockchain-based systems will be affected. Additionally, numerous blockchain platforms with unique properties and specifications are available in the market, and the task of selecting the right platform that best meets the project needs is getting complicated. It is crucial to define significant criteria that can help to shortlist the blockchain platforms for further comparison and selection using multicriteria decision-making methods. This research proposes a set of selection criteria that cover both features and quality attributes of the blockchain platforms. Human face detection from video sequences is a difficult problem in computer vision. Face detection is the process of determining the location of a face or faces in each frame of a video. Face detection in real-time videos is an ongoing under-investigated research problem. This paper proposes a new method for face detection in videos that significantly reduces the time required to detect faces. The method targets a Search Area Boundary (SAB) in the next frames that are determined based on the position of the detected faces in the current frame. The model will look for the face in a box that is slightly larger than the SAB from the previous frame. This means that it will not search the entire video frame for the face, so it will take less time to find the face. After a few frames, the method will begin searching the entire frame for new faces. The results show that the proposed method can save up to 73.5% of the time, especially when the SAB is small, with an accuracy degradation of no more than 7% in the best case. © 2023 IEEE.

Question Classification plays a vital role in identifying the accurate answer to any question, and is considered as a core component of Question Answering Systems. In Nepali Natural Language Processing, the area of Question Answering has not even been initiated due to a lack of dataset. The dataset of Nepali factual questions has been created by collecting questions from general knowledge books and labelling them with developed taxonomy. The problem of Nepali factoid question classification has been studied with a Support Vector Machine, which works as a baseline classification algorithm and obtained a 0.74 weighted F1-score in the imbalance dataset. The experimental results of the proposed model show the effectiveness of the approach in classifying factoid questions accurately compared with the state-of-the-art approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

Hidden Markov Models have proved to be a very significant tool for various time-series related problems, especially where context is important. One such problem is Part-of-speech tagging. The work uses a customized HMM to propose an effective and advanced solution to POS tagging. With a precision rate of 0.9657, recall of 0.9656, and F1-score of 0.9655, this proposed HMM-based model achieves an exceptional level of accuracy, exhibiting its accurate identification of the POS of words in a sentence. The statistical model employed by the HMM-based method predicts the most likely POS tags while taking into account the probabilities of transition between various POS tags. The model's dependability and resilience were demonstrated when it was tested on a different dataset after being trained on a extensive collection of text data. The study's findings demonstrate that the HMM-based strategy outperforms current POS tagging techniques, making it a significant contribution to the field of natural language processing. In addition, this research has significant implications for a number of NLP applications, including sentiment analysis, machine translation, and text categorization, paving the way for additional innovation and exploration in this domain. © 2023 IEEE.

Process discovery algorithms incorporating domain knowledge can have varying levels of user involvement. It ranges from fully automated algorithms to interactive approaches where the user makes critical decisions about the process model. Designing domain knowledge using process discovery techniques faces various challenges. These challenges could cause some issues with existing approaches. Acquiring domain knowledge with domain experts, integrating domain knowledge with process data, scalability to handle large complex data sets, and ensuring data quality are examples of these challenges. In this survey, we assess recent work with varying levels of automation in process discovery to enhance the analysis and understanding of business processes within an organization. Current work can be classified into two categories: fully automated or semi-automated process discovery. We conclude that semi-automated process discovery gives a better opportunity for involving users. Also, the use of deep learning algorithms in automation gives better performance than machine learning algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

The Learning management system(LMS)is now being used for uploading educational content in both distance and blended *** platform has two types of users:the educators who upload the content,and the students who have to access the *** students,usually rely on text notes or books and video tutorials while their exams are conducted with formal *** assessments and examination criteria are ineffective with restricted learning space which makes the student tend only to read the educational contents and videos instead of interactive *** aim is to design an interactive LMS and examination video-based interface to cater the issues of educators and *** is designed according to Human-computer interaction(HCI)principles to make the interactive User interface(UI)through User experience(UX).The interactive lectures in the form of annotated videos increase user engagement and improve the self-study context of users involved in *** interface design defines how the design will interact with users and how the interface exchanges *** findings show that interactive videos for LMS allow the users to have a more personalized learning experience by engaging in the educational *** result shows a highly personalized learning experience due to the interactive video and quiz within the video.
