Process discovery algorithms incorporating domain knowledge can have varying levels of user involvement. It ranges from fully automated algorithms to interactive approaches where the user makes critical decisions about the process model. Designing domain knowledge using process discovery techniques faces various challenges. These challenges could cause some issues with existing approaches. Acquiring domain knowledge with domain experts, integrating domain knowledge with process data, scalability to handle large complex data sets, and ensuring data quality are examples of these challenges. In this survey, we assess recent work with varying levels of automation in process discovery to enhance the analysis and understanding of business processes within an organization. Current work can be classified into two categories: fully automated or semi-automated process discovery. We conclude that semi-automated process discovery gives a better opportunity for involving users. Also, the use of deep learning algorithms in automation gives better performance than machine learning algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

The Learning management system(LMS)is now being used for uploading educational content in both distance and blended *** platform has two types of users:the educators who upload the content,and the students who have to access the *** students,usually rely on text notes or books and video tutorials while their exams are conducted with formal *** assessments and examination criteria are ineffective with restricted learning space which makes the student tend only to read the educational contents and videos instead of interactive *** aim is to design an interactive LMS and examination video-based interface to cater the issues of educators and *** is designed according to Human-computer interaction(HCI)principles to make the interactive User interface(UI)through User experience(UX).The interactive lectures in the form of annotated videos increase user engagement and improve the self-study context of users involved in *** interface design defines how the design will interact with users and how the interface exchanges *** findings show that interactive videos for LMS allow the users to have a more personalized learning experience by engaging in the educational *** result shows a highly personalized learning experience due to the interactive video and quiz within the video.

The human brain's intricate functions are under-pinned by a vast network of synapses that enable chemical impulses between neurons. Neuroscientists employ two key approaches, functional and effective connectivity, to understand the brain's complexity, focusing on its operations, cognition, and behavior. While both methods utilize graph theory for network analysis, functional connectivity, which investigates associated brain activity, has seen more substantial research efforts than effective connectivity, which examines information processing's inter-regional impacts. In this research paper, we aim to present an extensive examination of the emerging discipline that combines graph theory with the analysis of brain characteristics, shedding light on how these characteristics arise from the interactions among different groups of neurons. Our primary focus lies in exploring the diverse cognitive and neurological applications that leverage functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) as a tool. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive overview of the methods employed to construct brain networks based on functional and efficient connections. Throughout the discussion, we emphasize the advantages and limitations associated with these approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

For newcomers and tourists, navigating university campuses can be difficult, resulting in aggravation and lost time. We respond by introducing 'GikiLenS', an object identification application driven by deep learning that revolutionizes campus exploration by accurately identifying buildings and landmarks while enhancing user experience. GikiLenS is a comprehensive and user-friendly smartphone application that precisely caters to the demands of newcomers and visitors, unlike previous studies in campus navigation. Our study intends to close this gap and develop a reliable method for identifying campus buildings, optimizing navigation, and enhancing user experience. Through rigorous testing, GikiLenS has proven to have remarkable real-time building detection accuracy, highlighting its potential as an important tool for campus exploration. The app's outcomes and conclusions demonstrate how well it works to give users specific building information, promoting a more knowledgeable and enjoyable campus experience. The importance of our findings lies in the development of a unique, user-centered app that offers a cutting-edge method of campus mobility. Our contribution consists of a game-changing method for building detection that improves campus exploration and user pleasure. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapid development of 3D computer vision technology, depth cameras have been widely used. Depth camera calibration is mainly constrained by two aspects: (1) alignment of depth data, and (2) distortion in RGB images. Under the condition of unknown camera intrinsic parameters, a method for RGBD commercial camera calibration is studied based on an optical motion capture system. The proposed approach utilizes the projection from the motion capture space to the depth camera's field of view, establishing a coupled parameter model for the camera's CCD photosensitive elements to improve the calibration of the depth camera. Experimental results demonstrate a 33% reduction in errors in the central region of the camera's field of view compared to commonly Least Squares (LS) calibration methods. Moreover, the method exhibits faster computation speed, enabling efficient real-time calibration of depth cameras with unknown parameters in practice. © 2023 IEEE.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of technology-based interventions on academic performance. To achieve this purpose a systematic review was conducted. Within the scope of this study EBSCO, Springer, ProQuest, Science Direct, Wiley Online Library, Taylor and Francis Online, databases were scanned, and 18 studies were included in the review. Our results show that the iPad is the most preferred digital device for enhancing math and reading skills and significant results can be seen when used. Similar positive effects were observed with other technological devices, reinforcing the effectiveness of technology as a tool for supporting academic performance. This evidence underscores the value of incorporating digital devices in educational strategies, particularly for improving key academic skills. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a development of a novel path planning algorithm, called Generalized Laser simulator (GLS), for solving the mobilerobot path planning problem in a two-dimensional map with the presence ofconstraints. This approach gives the possibility to find the path for a wheelmobile robot considering some constraints during the robot movement inboth known and unknown environments. The feasible path is determinedbetween the start and goal positions by generating wave of points in alldirection towards the goal point with adhering to constraints. In simulation,the proposed method has been tested in several working environments withdifferent degrees of complexity. The results demonstrated that the proposedmethod is able to generate efficiently an optimal collision-free path. Moreover,the performance of the proposed method was compared with the A-star andlaser simulator (LS) algorithms in terms of path length, computational timeand path smoothness. The results revealed that the proposed method hasshortest path length, less computational time and the best smooth path. Asan average, GLS is faster than A∗ and LS by 7.8 and 5.5 times, respectivelyand presents a path shorter than A∗ and LS by 1.2 and 1.5 times. In orderto verify the performance of the developed method in dealing with constraints, an experimental study was carried out using a Wheeled Mobile Robot(WMR) platform in labs and roads. The experimental work investigates acomplete autonomous WMR path planning in the lab and road environmentsusing a live video streaming. Local maps were built using data from a live video streaming with real-time image processing to detect segments of theanalogous-road in lab or real-road environments. The study shows that theproposed method is able to generate shortest path and best smooth trajectoryfrom start to goal points in comparison with laser simulator.

Cloud computing is one of the newest computing paradigms that emerged after worldwide development of Internet infrastructure. It is a technology that saves both large companies and small and medium scale companies as well as independent developers from the cost of keeping infrastructure hardware up to date, and operational while also providing flexibility on resource use as well providing additional opportunity to minimize data losses. While in the future, it is evident that demand for cloud computing will be on the rise. These kinds of datacenters, due to their nature, consume large amounts of energy and even the savings on smallest scales will enable these gigantic centers to save a significant amount of energy in total. If we have a look at the literature, we can see green computing is gaining immense popularity over the years. The Cloud Scheduling problem is a proven problem to be NP-Hard, aiming to find the best solution for a limited number of cloud resources, which could theoretically be serving an unlimited number of user demands. In this study, firstly, an experimental workload / power consumption model is proposed for a server computer, and then two genetic algorithms optimizing makespan and energy consumption are compared on these metrics at different server loads. As a result, it has been seen that these two criteria are closely related to each other, and it has been determined that optimizing the energy criterion has a more positive effect between 10% and 13% compared to the time criterion optimization at full or near full server loads. In this way, it has been shown that significant energy savings can be achieved by using energy optimization as an objective function at high server loads. © 2024 Gazi Universitesi. Gliomas are aggressive brain tumors known for their heterogeneity,unclear borders,and diverse locations on Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)*** factors present significant challenges for MRI-based segmentation,a crucial step for effective treatment planning and monitoring of glioma *** study proposes a novel deep learning framework,ResNet Multi-Head Attention U-Net(ResMHA-Net),to address these challenges and enhance glioma segmentation ***-Net leverages the strengths of both residual blocks from the ResNet architecture and multi-head attention *** powerful combination empowers the network to prioritize informative regions within the 3D MRI data and capture long-range *** doing so,ResMHANet effectively segments intricate glioma sub-regions and reduces the impact of uncertain tumor *** rigorously trained and validated ResMHA-Net on the BraTS 2018,2019,2020 and 2021 ***,ResMHA-Net achieved superior segmentation accuracy on the BraTS 2021 dataset compared to the previous years,demonstrating its remarkable adaptability and robustness across diverse ***,we collected the predicted masks obtained from three datasets to enhance survival prediction,effectively augmenting the dataset *** features were then extracted from these predicted masks and,along with clinical data,were used to train a novel ensemble learning-based machine learning model for survival *** model employs a voting mechanism aggregating predictions from multiple models,leading to significant improvements over existing *** ensemble approach capitalizes on the strengths of various models,resulting in more accurate and reliable predictions for patient ***,we achieved an impressive accuracy of 73%for overall survival(OS)prediction.

Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have recently attractedwidespread attention in civil and commercial *** example,UAVs(or drone)technology is increasingly used in crowd monitoring solutions due to its wider air footprint and the ability to capture data in real ***,due to the open atmosphere,drones can easily be lost or captured by attackers when reporting information to the crowd management *** addition,the attackers may initiate malicious detection to disrupt the crowd-sensing communication ***,security and privacy are one of the most significant challenges faced by drones or the Internet of Drones(IoD)that supports the Internet of Things(IoT).In the literature,we can find some authenticated key agreement(AKA)schemes to protect access control between entities involved in the IoD ***,the AKA scheme involves many vulnerabilities in terms of security and *** this paper,we propose an enhancedAKAsolution for crowdmonitoring applications that require secure communication between drones and controlling *** scheme supports key security features,including anti-forgery attacks,and confirms user *** security characteristics of our scheme are analyzed byNS2 simulation and verified by a random oracle *** simulation results and proofs show that the proposed scheme sufficiently guarantees the security of crowd-aware communication.
