The increasing demand for bandwidth-intensive network applications, such as video streaming, multimedia, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, necessitates improved resource management to protect the network without compromising Quality of Service (QoS). Meeting these challenges requires a centralized view of all available network resources. software Defined Networking (SDN), an emerging technology, provides a centralized view and control of network resources. This feature enables administrators to programmatically define and manage network behavior, including routing, making it more flexible and adaptable. This study proposes a QoS-aware routing scheme for SDN that considers available bandwidth, packet delay, and packet loss to determine the optimal routing path. Optimal paths are selected based on meeting predefined threshold criteria. The study concludes by discussing potential directions for future research in this field. © 2023 IEEE.

Optimization problems widely arise in various science and engineering fields and can be computationally expensive in many real-world applications. Evaluation of the fitness function to assess a candidate solution is the main operation in all optimization procedures which can be heavily compute-intensive. Machine learning-based surrogate models can contribute to learning the specific pattern among the decision variables and objective values to consequently reduce the computation time of fitness evaluation. In this study, we have proposed a novel pairwise surrogate model to identify the superiority between candidate solutions in a pairwise comparison despite the fact that most of the surrogate models try to predict the exact fitness value. The proposed idea can significantly help the optimizer to reach better results in a shorter period of time. It seems comparing two candidate solutions for a greedy selection is much easier than approximating fitness values for both. We demonstrated Graph Neural Network (GNN) for this purpose to be trained on a limited number of pairwise ranks and then utilized to compare a pair of candidate solutions. In order to examine the efficacy of our model, we utilized different well-known single-objective optimization benchmarks in dimensions 10,20, and 30. Moreover, the results of the learning-based evaluation are compared with the results from the real fitness evaluation. The results, assessed in terms of the number of fitness calls and the best-found solution, showed that the proposed method is able to decrease the computing cost of fitness evaluation significantly while we achieve a comparable solution. Our model can be tested with any optimization algorithm which employs a comparison-based mechanism among its candidate solutions. © 2023 IEEE.

We suggest a new quantum-like approach to study distributed intelligence systems (DIS) consisting of natural (owners) and artificial (avatars) intelligence agents organized in a scale-free network. We demonstrate the complex features of social impact in DIS that imply the hierarchical formation of opinion leaders in the network and their topological protection. We elucidated the effect of significant narrowing of the spread of opinions within the network when most owners chose their position as limiting (extreme). © 2023 IEEE.

Artificial Intelligence Augmented software Development Life Cycle is a process for developing software that incorporates AI techniques and technologies. One aspect of AIASDLC is knowledge vaporization, which refers to the process of extracting and encapsulating knowledge from the AI model during development and making it available for use in other parts of the software development life cycle. The advantages of AIASDLC include;improved performance, increased efficiency, better decision-making, better user experience, better scalability, better security and compliance, and knowledge vaporization. Requirement engineering is the process of gathering, analyzing, and specifying the requirements for a software system. The context boundary, domain knowledge, application domain, and system boundary are all important concepts in requirement engineering that help define the scope and constraints of the system being developed. Understanding the context boundary is important because it helps identify the external factors that will affect the requirements of the system. Domain knowledge is the understanding and expertise in a specific field or area that is necessary for effective requirement engineering. The application domain is the specific area or field where the system will be used, and it is important to understand the application domain to gather and document the correct requirements for the system © 2023 IEEE.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) significantly enhances adaptive learning by personalizing and tailoring instruction to individual student needs. AI analyzes data in real-time to create personalized learning paths based on students' strengths, weaknesses, and preferences, which keeps students engaged and motivated. A major benefit of AI in adaptive learning is the provision of real-time feedback and assessment, allowing students to correct mistakes promptly and understand concepts more thoroughly. AI-based intelligent tutoring systems are primarily intended to simulate personalized tutoring processes that guide students in complex problem-solving and answering questions. It is convenient in teaching mathematics, sciences, and languages. AI also supports inclusive education, dealing with diversified learning requirements and styles, such as those of learners with disabilities. For the teacher, AI acts as a reflector of student performance so that one can intervene early and make adjustments in the method of instruction by creating effective learning environments. Requirement elicitation (RE) is a cognitively challenging and time-consuming task in software development due to the numerous challenges associated with it including conflicting requirements, unspoken, or assumed requirements, difficulty meeting with relevant stakeholders, stakeholder resistance to change, and not enough time set aside for meetings with all stakeholders. The prime causes of software implementation failure have been identified as inadequacies in the treatment of requirements. Without collecting the quality requirement, cannot achieve the goal of a quality software product. Through identifying the success factors affecting requirement elicitation, the paths to the quality requirements can be identified. The success factors identify through this research are experience, business analyst skills, stakeholder relationship, organizational elicitation process. This study aims to identify the factors affecting requirement elicitation based on the data collected from business analysts and similar positions in the software industry through a survey, interviews, and analyzed data to provide the initial validation for the identified factors. Through the analysis, we identified the main factors affecting successful requirement elicitation with a perfect significance value of less than 0.05 for all factors. © 2022 IEEE.

This article examines the parameters of speech recognition in audio recordings containing a variety of phrases uttered by different people with different accents and intonations. The aim of the study is to evaluate the recognition speed, the accuracy of audio-to-text conversion and resource consumption when using SpeechRecognition and Levenshtein libraries. During the analysis, the above libraries were used to record and recognize audio files, as well as to calculate the distance between two lines and determine the recognition accuracy. The findings of this study can be useful for improving speech recognition systems and creating more adaptive and efficient solutions for audio data processing. The results of comparing the accuracy of speech recognition models are recorded in JSON format, after which, using the matplotlib library, they are visualized as graphs, comparing the speed and accuracy of recognition. Visualization of data in this way contributes to their improvement and more effective integration into educational systems. In conclusion, the authors emphasize the prospects for further development of speech recognition technologies in different fields. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a new method for traffic anomaly identification within the Faster R-CNN framework by combining the DenseNet module with the region proposals (RPs) processing block. The suggested approach seeks to improve feature extraction and RP creation in aerial imagery or CCTV frames to get beyond the drawbacks of the current methods. Discriminative features are extracted through DenseNet, and the RPs block makes it easier to provide a wide range of accurate and varied area proposals. Contrast correction techniques are applied to overcome the difficulties presented by low-resolution and low-contrast images frequently seen in surveillance scenarios. Comparing experimental results to state-of-the-art techniques, one can observe notable resilience and detection accuracy increases. The suggested method works exceptionally well in various traffic scenarios and environmental circumstances, indicating its potential for practical implementation in traffic surveillance systems. Overall, the study contributes to advancing the efficacy and reliability of anomaly detection in urban traffic environments. © 2024 SPIE.

Changing a person’s posture and low resolution are the key challenges for person re-identification(ReID)in various deep learning *** this paper,we introduce an innovative architecture using a dual attention network that includes an attentionmodule and a joint measurement module of spatial-temporal *** proposed approach can be classified into two main ***,the spatial attention feature map is formed by aggregating features in the spatial ***,the same operation is carried out on the channel dimension to formchannel attention ***,the receptive field size is adjusted adaptively tomitigate the changing person posture ***,we use a joint measurement method for the spatial-temporal information to fully harness the data,and it can also naturally integrate the information into the visual features of supervised ReID and hence overcome the low resolution *** experimental results indicate that our proposed algorithm markedly improves the accuracy in addressing changing human postures and low-resolution issues compared with contemporary leading *** proposed method shows superior outcomes on widely recognized benchmarks,which are the Market-1501,MSMT17,and DukeMTMC-reID ***,the proposed algorithmattains a Rank-1 accuracy of 97.4% and 94.9% mAP(mean Average Precision)on the Market-1501 ***,it achieves a 94.2% Rank-1 accuracy and 91.8% mAP on the DukeMTMC-reID dataset.
