Education sector has witnessed several changes in the recent *** changes have forced private universities into fierce competition with each other to get more students *** competition has resulted in the adoption of marketing practices by private universities similar to commercial *** get competitive gain,universities must observe and examine the students’feedback on their own social media sites along with the social media sites of their *** study presents a novel framework which integrates numerous analytical approaches including statistical analysis,sentiment analysis,and text mining to accomplish a competitive analysis of social media sites of the *** techniques enable local universities to utilize social media for the identification of the most-discussed topics by students as well as based on the most unfavorable comments received,major areas for improvement.A comprehensive case study was conducted utilizing the proposed framework for competitive analysis of few top ranked international universities as well as local private universities in Lahore *** results show that diversity of shared content,frequency of posts,and schedule of updates,are the key areas for improvement for the local *** on the competitive intelligence gained several recommendations are included in this paper that would enable local universities generally and Riphah international university(RIU)Lahore specifically to promote their brand and increase their attractiveness for potential students using social media and launch successful marketing campaigns targeting a large number of audiences at significantly reduced cost resulting in an increased number of enrolments.

Model-based testing is a substantial approach that is based on and involving models. It is well known for achieving test coverage and for generating and executing test cases automatically. The main and core activity of model-based testing is the modelling activity. Models are used to explain and represent the behaviour of the product. The requirement will be translated into models and those models will be used in generating the test cases automatically in model-based testing. The modelling activity clarifies test requirement and contribute to automatic generation and execution of large test suites with tool support. Model-based testing provides numerous advantages in testing;mainly on achieving appropriate test coverage and reduce manual effort and time spent since it can execute the test cases automatically. Despite all the benefit it can provide, there are some drawbacks too. However, the challenges faced can overcome by implementing proper test modelling activity and by adopting a well-versed test management activity. Thus, in this paper, we have studied the existing testing process, the taxonomy of model-based testing and model-based testing steps and proposed an extensive lifecycle for model-based testing with detail activities and steps to be carried out in order to test and validate access control requirement for multi-tenant application. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The next evolution of traditional energy systems towards smart grid will require end-consumers to actively participate and make informed decisions regarding their energy usage. Industry 4.0 facilitates such progress by allowing more advanced analytics and creating means for end-consumers and distributed grid assets to be modelled as their Digital twins (DT) equivalents, paving the way for asset-level analytics. Note-worthily, consumers’ comfort is crucial towards promotion of easy adoption of such models from consumers’ perspectives. This study presents the application of hybrid DT and multiagent reinforcement learning models for real-time estimation of end-consumers future energy behaviors while generating actionable recommendation feedback for improving their energy efficiency and enhancing end-user comfort. © 2023 IEEE European Union.

Electricity consumers often face the challenge of selecting an optimal plan for saving energy. Strategic energy management and monitoring plays a key role in overcoming these challenges. Developments around Industry 5.0 powered smart grid proffers adequate solutions which allows end-consumers to monitor their energy performance towards effecting demand side recommendation services. Specific problems where end-users are likely to ignore recommended advice exists, thereby contributing to widening 'knowledge-action gap'. An ensemble of hybrid digital twins (DT) asset modelling based on ordinary differential equation (ODE) physics engine and data driven recurrent neural network (RNN) prediction approach alongside PageRank based asset behavior scoring algorithm deployed for demand side recommender and generative pre-trained transformers (GPT) based conversational chatbot technology show effectiveness in engaging and extending end-consumers interests in recommended advice. The novelty of the study lies in extending current scope of demand side recommender scheme via conversational chatbot interface for DT of electricity grid assets that better engage and monitors end-user's energy behavior while offering appropriate energy efficiency advice towards achieving energy conservation goals of smart grid consumers. Extensive experiments, including evaluation of end-user studies, revealed the effectiveness of proposed approach in terms of improved recommendation quality and user engagement towards net electricity demand reduction. © 2023 IEEE.

As per the present switched system theorem, data package-drop ratio decides the strength of NCSs. Through the focal point principle to offer small data package-drop ratio for dispersed NCS under parameter transmission environment, the communication improvement issue is described from universal transmission aspect. Initially, system stimulated break is illustrated function associated with time can be calculated using auto-regressive-moving-average (ARMA) pattern, and the upcoming break is forecasted by the obtained break samples. Subsequently, the widespread referred shortest route of time dependent network(SPTDN) algorithm is described and enhanced by means of introducing waiting-time previous to data packages are dispatched to subsequent unit in a route, in order to get quickly coming time than SPTDN. Subsequently, the concept of earliest-arrival time (EAT) is suggested to calculate the excellence of transmission route, the connected EAT algorithm is intended to look for upcoming EAT and the equivalent route since universal system vigorously. Advantage from the active EAT route, data packages reach at target as early as feasible, it reduces data package-drop ratio. Therefore, EAT route make sure the steadiness of shared NCSs from the opinion of worldwide system. Early plant disease diagnosis can help farmers avoid spending money on costly crop pesticides and aid them to boost food production. Scientists have put a lot of effort to classify plant diseases, but it is difficult to quickly locate and identify different crop abnormalities due to the high degree of resemblance between the normal and damaged parts of plant leaves. Additionally, the procedure of detecting plant diseases has been made more challenging due to the extensive color, size, shape, and intensity variations in the background and foreground of the plant images. To address the existing difficulties, we have introduced an effective deep learning (DL) based system called Faster-RCNN o recognize and classify various types of plant diseases. The suggested method consists of 3 basic steps. In order to identify the area of interest in investigated samples, we first create annotations for them which are later used for Faster-RCNN training. The Faster-RCNN model employs the VGG-19 network to extract the relevant keypoints from the given images which are later passed to the regressor and classification units to identify and categorize the various crop diseases using the estimated features. We evaluated our method on a widely used standard plant sample repository called the PlantVillage database, and the findings show that our approach is reliable for classifying plant diseases under a variety of image-capturing scenarios. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

As a developing country, Sri Lanka needs to go along with cutting-edge technologies. In the beginning phase of this digital advertising, multiple advertisements were displayed on the users' feeds, including advertisements despite their preferences. This was a terrible user experience for the users. However, smart advertising based on customer preferences can manage the flow of advertisements on the feed as per the users' preferences. This same technique can be used in handling advertisements while shopping at supermarkets. These advertisements can be directed based on demographic characteristics like face and gender and previous customer transactions. Additionally, providing the nearest supermarket they can reach based on their current location. Queue management is the next most crucial facility that needs to be provided to a supermarket. However, the manual system of queue management is not effective. But with a modernized queue management system, overcrowded supermarkets can be managed effectively. This proposed system also considers providing a chatbot service to manage customer inquiries in a reliable strategy. In this system, we mainly used the Keras model called VGGFace for face detection, the Conventional Neural Network and Keras-based model for gender detection, the TensorFlow model called Single Shot MultiBox Detection MobileNet for queue and crowd detection, the Apriori algorithm base model for predicting the buying pattern, a Keras-based model for Artificial Intelligence chatbot and finally, google map Application Programming Interface for the nearest supermarket finding are models and technology. This system was developed to manage a supermarket properly. © 2022 IEEE.

Traditional power system is facing challenges demanding new operational requirements to meet targets of Net Zero Emissions by 2050. Aggregators are playing progressively important role in the demand response (DR) electricity market but are often riddled with deep level of market monopoly and lack of transparency/secrecy. Emerging real-time information technology (IT) applications and novel modelling of digital twins (DT) of individual electricity assets are challenging this position by promising improvements and openness that allows TSO direct access to available demand side flexibility. Additionally, DT technologies are facilitating how demand response services are delivered to end-users by allowing individual assets participation at the atomic level. In this study, the application potentials of assets’ DT in participating in the demand response electricity market was examined. Again, an overview of DT applications for DR was conducted. The novelty of this study is highlighted in development of new approach that facilitates individual end-user assets’ contribution to demand response efforts. The research identifies key useful questions that might serve as inspiration for stakeholders and policy-makers to further close existing gaps in the field of DT, smart-grid and demand response. © 2023 European Union.

Contrastive learning has achieved significant progress in the field of self-supervised skeleton-based action recognition. However, existing methods often apply strong augmentations directly to skeleton data, which can distort or even lose the semantic of the skeletons. Additionally, most methods focus on unified feature extraction through spatiotemporal modeling, leading to spatiotemporal entanglement that hinders model’s interpretability and degrades performance. To address these issues, we propose a Progressive Augmentation and SpatioTemporal Decoupling contrastive learning model (PASTD). Specifically, we propose progressive augmentation to enhance the model’s generalization capability, which generates multiple distinct positive sample pairs through multiple branches and uses inter-branch constraints to maintain consistent motion patterns. Moreover, we propose spatiotemporal decoupling module to separate the feature’s spatial and temporal information, using a dual-path self-attention module combined with an intra-branch cross-domain learning strategy to facilitate information exchange between domains. Extensive experiments on the four public datasets NTU-RGB+D (60&120) and PKU-MMD (I&II) demonstrate the effectiveness of these components. Moreover, PASTD outperforms state-of-the-art methods across various evaluation metrics.

Modern transportation systems face growing challenges in managing traffic flow, ensuring safety, and maintaining operational efficiency amid dynamic traffic patterns. Addressing these challenges requires intelligent solutions capable of real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and adaptive control. This paper proposes an architecture for DigIT, a Digital Twin (DT) platform for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), designed to overcome the limitations of existing frameworks by offering a modular and scalable solution for traffic management. Built on a Domain Concept Model (DCM), the architecture systematically models key ITS components enabling seamless integration of predictive modeling and simulations. The architecture leverages machine learning models to forecast traffic patterns based on historical and real-time data. To adapt to evolving traffic patterns, the architecture incorporates adaptive Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), automating the deployment and lifecycle management of predictive models. Evaluation results highlight the effectiveness of the architecture in delivering accurate predictions and computational efficiency.
