Various deep learning techniques have been employed to diagnose dental caries using X-ray images. In this study, we utilized deep learning models, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and transfer learning models such as Visual Geometry Group (VGG16), VGG19, ResNet50, and Inception V3, to identify dental caries in periapical radiographs. The traditional CNN model comprises three sets of 2D convolutional layers, followed by an activation layer, a max-pooling layer, a flatten layer, one dense layer, another activation layer, dropout, another dense layer, and a final activation layer. For the VGG models, ResNet50, and Inception V3, the top convolutional layers were frozen to prevent retraining of the model, with only the last layers trained to produce the required output. The accuracy achieved by CNN, VGG16, VGG19, ResNet50, and Inception V3 was 90%, 96%, 73%, 70%, and 73%, respectively. VGG16 exhibited the highest accuracy among the models. Hyperparameters were carefully selected using a grid search approach, and the results were validated using the Shuffle-Split-Cross (SSC) validation method. These findings underscore the effectiveness of transfer learning in analyzing medical images, particularly in the diagnosis of dental caries. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Medical Resonance Imaging(MRI)is a noninvasive,nonradioactive,and meticulous diagnostic modality capability in the field of medical ***,the efficiency of MR image reconstruction is affected by its bulky image sets and slow process ***,to obtain a high-quality reconstructed image we presented a sparse aware noise removal technique that uses convolution neural network(SANR_CNN)for eliminating noise and improving the MR image reconstruction *** proposed noise removal or denoising technique adopts a fast CNN architecture that aids in training larger datasets with improved quality,and SARN algorithm is used for building a dictionary learning technique for denoising large image *** proposed SANR_CNN model also preserves the details and edges in the image during *** experiment was conducted to analyze the performance of SANR_CNN in a few existing models in regard with peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR),structural similarity index(SSIM),and mean squared error(MSE).The proposed SANR_CNN model achieved higher PSNR,SSIM,and MSE efficiency than the other noise removal *** proposed architecture also provides transmission of these denoised medical images through secured IoT architecture.

Recent advances in DeepFake face-swapping technology have made it simple to create fake videos that appear remarkably real. Since it has been employed in numerous instances for deceit, extortion, and the falsification of facts, its widespread use has generated a huge social, security, and political risk. Its use on websites and social media has become more widespread. Detecting this crime is becoming more and more important due to the potential harm false videos may inflict on a global scale. This research offers a method for building a deep learning model that really can tell the difference between authentic and false videos. The article describes how to create new models based on the VGG16 neural network, a previously created neural network that does image categorization, using transfer learning in the computer vision field. Deep learning is still becoming better at both producing and spotting DeepFakes. DeepFake detection algorithms are developed using dated public datasets, and as a result, they may become obsolete with time. and require continual updating. The research findings are encouraging, and our results reached an accuracy rate of over 90%. © 2023 IEEE.

Voice recognition systems are crucial because they allow seamless human-computer interaction and improve accessibility for users of all abilities. The use of these technologies in hands-free control, language translation, virtual assistants, transcription services, and hands-free control is revolutionising how we engage with technology and enhancing convenience and productivity in general. Several attendance systems based on voice recognition exist, but we wanted to deploy an attendance system with a good graphical user interface specifically for students of GIK Institute. For this purpose, we wanted to make a user-friendly and accurate voice recognition system based and trained on self-provided data of ten students. This study introduces an AI-driven attendance system, which demonstrates high efficiency and accuracy in identifying students’ daily class attendance. To achieve this, the Gaussian Mixture Model approach was employed. The paper also delves into the utilization of libraries and methods, encompassing the training and validation of well-known machine learning models. Additionally, the system’s performance, its strengths, weaknesses and potential areas for improvement are also discussed in the study.

The service delivery has lately witnessed strides in the form of paradigm shifts from conventional logistics to drone-oriented supply chain to conserve ecosystem. The use of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for package deliveries offer enhanced accessibility, flexibility, efficiency, speed, safety, and even few environmental gains. However, the drones can come across various security hazards while communicating with ground installations on open channels including physical capture attack, privacy infringement, and so on. Thus, earnest endeavors are needed to fix those security challenges in applications related to drone communications. To address these problems, an efficient authenticated key agreement technique, drone access control scheme for last mile delivery (DAC-MD) is suggested for user-drone interactions in IoD environment that help the participating entities in developing a mutually agreed session key for securing subsequent communication interactions. The proposed scheme is proved using automated ProVerif tool as well as analyzed by using formal analysis based on RoR random oracle model. The comparative analysis against recently presented known studies reveals that our scheme not only carries comparable properties in terms of security and privacy, but also low computational and communication costs. © 2024 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Edge computing is a novel computing paradigm that offers kinds of resources at the network edge. In edge computing, terminal users are connected to edge servers via the wireless network and there are various channels in each wireless link. These wireless channels are limited resource while different channel has different cost and service ability. The dynamic changes of users' status make it harder to find an appropriate method to satisfy the BPM requirements of channel deployment. With this observation, it is a tricky challenge to make a trade-off between the system cost(rental price) and the service ability(number of users). In view of this challenge, an intelligent resource scheduling method, named EdgeIRS, is proposed in this paper. In the technical sense, the EdgeIRS method can accommodate most users at the edge with a minimum cost of deploying channel resources in an online way. Its performance is analyzed theoretically and the experiments verify the superiority of the method. © 2022 IEEE.

In histology image analysis, instance-based nuclei segmentation is one of the challenging tasks within the segmentation-guided studies since it is quite troublesome to detect each distinct nuclei instance of each nuclei type in images in contrast to the semantic segmentation in which all the image pixels of a nuclei type are labelled with the same mask ID although the segmented region may comprise of multiple instances. In this paper, an instance-based medical image segmentation task is addressed, and in this context, instances of multiple types of nuclei in colon histology images are aimed to be delineated distinctly. For the instance-based segmentation of the nuclei in colon histology images, the YOLOv7 algorithm and its built-in instance segmentation module are utilized. In the experimental studies performed on Colon Nuclei Identification and Counting (CoNIC) Challenge 2022 colon histology image dataset by using a 5-fold cross-validation performance evaluation strategy, nuclei instances belonging to 6 classes as the neutrophil, epithelial, lymphocyte, plasma, eosinophil and connective were segmented. To calculate the overall system accuracy, the quantification metrics of mean average precision (mAP) and mean panoptic quality (mPQ) were measured. In performance evaluations, quite promising accuracy values were obtained. The mAP values of 0.2885 and 0.2903, and mPQ values of 0.1659 and 0.1704 were observed by using the YOLOv7 algorithm. Keypoints used for image matching often include an estimate of the feature scale and orientation. While recent work has demonstrated the advantages of using feature scales and orientations for relative pose estimation, relatively little work has considered their use for absolute pose estimation. We introduce minimal solutions for absolute pose from two oriented feature correspondences in the general case, or one scaled and oriented correspondence given a known vertical direction. Nowadays, assuming a known direction is not particularly restrictive as modern consumer devices, such as smartphones or drones, are equipped with Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) that provide the gravity direction by default. Compared to traditional absolute pose methods requiring three point correspondences, our solvers need a smaller minimal sample, reducing the cost and complexity of robust estimation. Evaluations on large-scale and public real datasets demonstrate the advantage of our methods for fast and accurate localization in challenging conditions. The internet of things (IoT) had a variety of uses, namely smart homes, smart cities, wearables, smart grid, self-driven cars, IoT retail-shops, farming, industrial internet, smart supply chain management, and the health care. The IoT's boom is altering the existing healthcare state with thrilling technological, economical, and social implications. The dilemma of an increasing number of patients with heart diseases and a limited number of caregivers is that each caregiver must care for multiple patients, causing stress for caregivers and suffering for patients. Therefore, we designed a comparative study (network designs/programs, appliances, and industry trends) in IoT-established healthcare results. The development of IoT-based health care technology especially cardiac patients was also considered. Additionally, the underlying mechanism of the fluctuation effects of IoT modern advances on cardiac patients were elucidated throughout the key articles in the last 3 years. Our results proved that the secluded health checking system using IoT, especially for Cardiac patients, improved the health care process. This process is a nonstop scrutinizing and control equipment to monitor the patient's conditions. It also affected by the number and type of sensors used, and it could save the patient's information on a server, meanwhile, the authorized personnel may access the data using any IoT platform. Most importantly, doctors can continuously monitor the patient from afar and predict the diseases based on the values obtained. © 2021 IEEE.
