Measurement based quantum computation, which requires only single particle measurements on a universal resource state to achieve the full power of quantum computing, has been recognized as one of the most promising models for the physical realization of quantum computers. Despite considerable progress in the past decade, it remains a great challenge to search for new universal resource states with naturally occurring Hamiltonians and to better understand the entanglement structure of these kinds of states. Here we show that most of the resource states currently known can be reduced to the cluster state, the first known universal resource state, via adaptive local measurements at a constant cost. This new quantum state reduction scheme provides simpler proofs of universality of resource states and opens up plenty of space to the search of new resource states.

A Time Division Duplex (TDD) approach is demonstrated for voice communication in the environment of wireless sensor networks. The architecture of the Voice Wireless Sensor Networks (VoWSN) is presented and the hardware designing of Voice Node and Gateway Node are described in detail. Voice quality of different scenarios such as indoor, corridor, corner and outdoor are tested. It is resulted that good voice quality can be obtained in short distance or line of sight with no obstacle. The Routing Node and Gateway Node is introduced to relay in the case of long distance or with obstacles in the channel path.

We construct new families of multi-error-correcting quantum codes for the amplitude damping channel. Our key observation is that, with proper encoding, two uses of the amplitude damping channel simulate a quantum erasure channel. This allows us to use concatenated codes with quantum erasure-correcting codes as outer codes for correcting multiple amplitude damping errors. Our new codes are degenerate stabilizer codes and have parameters which are better than the amplitude damping codes obtained by any previously known construction.

In this paper, we present a hybrid representation of image-based models combining the textured planes and the hierarchical points. Taking a set of depth images as input, our method starts from classifying input pixels into two categories, indicating the planar and non-planar surfaces respectively. For the planar surfaces, the geometric coefficients are reconstructed to form the uniformly sampled textures. For nearly planar surfaces, some textured planes, called lumiproxies, are constructed to represent the equivalent visual appearance. The Hough transform is used to find the positions of these textured planes, and optic flow measures are used to determine their textures. For remaining pixels corresponding to the non-planar geometries, the point primitive is applied, reorganized as the OBB-tree structure. Then, texture mapping and point splatting are employed together to render the novel views, with the hardware acceleration.

Aimed at PSO's defect of prematurity, an improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO) is presented. The new arithmetic has better optimization performance by adding random data to premature particles' speed and position. It was applied to the parameter learning and training of Quantum Neural Network(QNN), and a higher efficiency speech recognition system which based on IPSO-QNN was established. The experimental results of MATLAB simulation showed that the new arithmetic did a better job in speech recognition rate and speed which make the best of faster quantum neural computation and PSO's global optimization ability.
