The aspiration of this research is to explore the impact of non-similar modeling for mixed convection in magnetized second-grade nanofluid *** flow is initiated by the stretching of a sheet at an exponential rate in the upward vertical *** buoyancy effects in terms of temperature and concentration differences are inserted in the x-momentum *** aspects of heat and mass transfer are studied using dimensionless thermophoresis,Schmidt and Brownian motion *** governing coupled partial differential system(PDEs)is remodeled into coupled non-similar nonlinear PDEs by introducing non-similar *** numerical analysis for the dimensionless non-similar partial differential system is performed using a local non-similarity method via ***,the quantitative effects of emerging dimensionless quantities on the nondimensional velocity,temperature and mass concentration in the boundary layer are conferred graphically,and inferences are drawn that important quantities of interest are substantially affected by these *** is concluded that non-similar modeling,in contrast to similar models,is more general and more accurate in convection studies in the presence of buoyancy effects for second-grade non-Newtonian fluids.

Failures of Induction Motors (IMs) can lead to unscheduled downtime and interruption in industry processes. This paper concentrates on the detection of the stator’s inter-turn faults which are one of the most frequent causes of failures in IMs. The proposed detection method is based on a similarity index that uses the current waveform. To be more specific, the proposed algorithm presents a full-cycle sliding-window-based index based on cosine similarity that only uses current signals for detection of the stator’s inter-turn faults. The proposed index cuts the phase difference before/after the disturbance and, as a result, it only depends on the size variations of the current waveform. The proposed method is technically unaffected by non-fault transient conditions including voltage imbalance, voltage sag, voltage swell, and heavy load changes. The performance of the proposed method is validated with numerous simulated scenarios and has good accuracy and speed of convergence.

The urgent need for early detection and intervention in colorectal cancer highlights the importance of automating colorectal polyp detection. Despite the use of deep learning techniques for polyp detection from medical images, these methods often struggle with issues such as skewed data distribution and class imbalances. In this study, we introduce PolyLite, a lightweight transformer-based model designed to balance performance and efficiency. PolyLite features a custom SegFormer encoder that takes advantage of its lightweight design, and a decoder that uses a multi-scale attention network (MA-NET) to achieve an optimal balance between accuracy and efficiency. To improve accuracy and reduce false negatives, we incorporate a reverse attention layer that effectively counteracts input mask attention during training. This refocuses the model's efforts to better learn non-polyp regions. PolyLite undergoes a two-stage training process, beginning with pre-training on the ImageNet dataset and then fine-tuning on the Kvasir-SEG dataset. We conduct rigorous evaluations on three complex datasets: CVC-ClinicDB, CVC-ColonDB, and ETIS-LaribPolypDB. Empirical results demonstrate PolyLite's superiority over existing techniques, as evidenced by its performance in terms of Intersection over Union and Dice scores. This validates its effectiveness and scalability in polyp segmentation, making complex and computationally intensive architectures unnecessary.

People are increasingly expressing their views and opinions about a company's goods or service on social media these days. For all types of businesses and organizations, sentiment analysis in text can be used to find prospective customers and obtain quick feedback on the services or goods they provided. As a result, the organization has a better chance and opportunity to meet the needs of the consumer. Using sentiment analysis, we may extract important information from the thoughts and emotions of an organization's supporters and clients. It examines natural language content produced about services and goods. Detailed opinion mining at the aspect/feature level to serve consumer and organizational needs. In this study, three different machine learning algorithms, these are Naïve Bayes (NB), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and K- Nearest Neighbor (KNN) are used to build the proposed aspect-based sentiment analysis model from the customer comments in Amharic text which is collected from Ethio-telecom official Facebook page. The collected data is annotated into sentiment polarity and aspect-based sentiment classes by the help of five annotators. After data annotation, different preprocessing tasks were implemented. Bag of words and TF-IDF word representation techniques were used to represent each unique word to their vector representation. The experiment was conducted on those three models and the result was validated. The labeled aspects were not balanced so that a SMOTE class imbalance handling technique was employed to the dataset. Finally, SVM model trained with TF-IDF word representation technique with SMOTE oversampled dataset has achieved the highest accuracy result of 98% as compared to NB and KNN.

The agriculture industry is one of the most significant sources of foreign exchange and employment in the Sri Lankan market. Therefore, small crops play a crucial role in ensuring the food security of the population as they are integral components of Sri Lankan cuisine. However, industry experts have identified inefficient disease and pest management as a hindrance to production. This issue requires immediate attention and proper action, which can be effectively addressed through the utilization of ICT technologies. Consequently, this research paper proposes a smart system that aims to assist farmers and agriculture professionals by providing them with farmer education, disease and infestation management tools, as well as progression level calculations. The implementation of this system aims to uplift the agriculture industry in Sri Lanka. The developed ‘AI-based mobile application system for Brinjal Diseases,’ which is based on analyzing the eating patterns of leafhopper damage, presents an innovative approach to identify the most significant threats to Brinjal, specifically focusing on leafhopper damage. This proposed system effectively informs various stakeholders, including the Area Agricultural Research Officer, Seed Certification and Plant Protection Center (SCPPC), Agricultural Service Center, Office of the Register of Pesticides (ROP), Plant Protection Service (PPS), as well as farmers, regarding the dispersion and prevention of brinjal diseases and pest infections.

Facial Liveness Detection is instrumental in combating fraudulent practices and identity theft by differentiating genuine faces from forgeries. Given that facial recognition is now an integral part of many sectors like banking and law enforcement, liveness detection has become a vital aspect for maintaining the trustworthiness of these applications. Unfortunately, the utility of prevalent facial liveness detection models is constrained by their lack of generalizability to novel, unseen data, which presents a substantial impediment to practical applications. To mitigate this issue, our research endeavored to construct a reliable and precise facial liveness detection model that can effectively navigate this challenge and ensure consistent performance across diverse datasets. The devised model exhibited excellent accuracy, which attests to its robustness. This research underscores the advantages of employing deep learning methods such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) as they significantly enhance the model’s accuracy. We intend for our findings to drive further research and progress in this critical field, by laying the groundwork for future work that integrates multiple liveness detection methods and collects more varied training data to develop an even more resilient and efficient system.

The sport of boxing has been gradually accepted by the public as a kind of fitness excise. A humanoid robot arm is necessary for this sport since it can reduce the tedious training work of coaching and increase the fun of this exercise. A 4-degree of freedom (DOF) robotic arm was designed by analyzing the basic gestures of boxing, and the servo motor was employed to support the arm’s fast movement. The results show that the robotic arm can fulfill the basic gestures of jab, hook, and swing correctly and the arm joints with servo motor are faster than with stepper motor.

5G technology can create millions of new jobs in many economic and industry sectors. It needs an in-depth study between the engineering sector, business, moneymen, and economists to introduce new ideas and develop a road map to benefit from this technology. Also, learn from the experiences of pioneers in this sector. Mobile phone networks are no longer a means of social media, entertainment, narrow commerce, and commercial correspondence. They have become a new pillar in economic growth if they are optimally exploited. This paper aims at highlighting 5G mobile networks and economic growth by studying and analyzing prestigious research and technical and commercial related reports and raising important recommendations to the decision-makers to take advantage of it and adapt this modern technology to develop the economic sector and create new opportunities for young people and those interested. The most important recommendation of this study is the need to support a new generation of young people, especially in the least developed countries in the formation of their minor economic projects, taking advantage of the huge potential of 5G technology, as well as the localization of this technique in many medium and giant projects. One of the key recommendations of this study is to encourage young people to involve in this promising field and help them set up small businesses.

Multi-Swarm Genetic Gray Wolf Optimizer with Embedded Autoencoders for High-Dimensional Expensive Problems

High-dimensional expensive problems are often encountered in the design and optimization of complex robotic and automated systems and distributed computing systems, and they suffer from a time-consuming fitness evaluation process. It is extremely challenging and difficult to produce promising solutions in high-dimensional search space. This work proposes an evolutionary optimization framework with embedded autoencoders that effectively solve optimization problems with high-dimensional search spaces. Autoencoders provide strong dimension reduction and feature extraction abilities that compress a high-dimensional space to an informative low-dimensional one. Search operations are performed in a low-dimensional space, thereby guiding a whole population to converge to the optimal solution more efficiently. Multiple subpopulations coevolve iteratively in a distributed manner. One subpopulation is embedded by an autoencoder, and the other one is guided by a proposed Multi-swarm Gray wolf optimizer based on Genetic learning (MGG). Thus, the proposed multi-swarm framework is named Autoencoder-based MGG (AMGG). AMGG consists of three proposed strategies that well balance exploration and exploitation abilities, i.e., a Dynamic subgroup Number Strategy for reducing the number of subpopulations, a Subpopulation Reorganization Strategy for sharing useful information about each subpopulation, and a Purposeful Detection Strategy for jumping out of local optima and improving exploration ability. AMGG is compared with several widely used algorithms by using typical benchmark functions and a real-life optimization problem. Extensive experimental results prove that AMGG outperforms its peers in terms of search accuracy and convergence efficiency. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

As technology advances, new ways of teaching and learning can be discovered. Online learning platforms are able to provide easy, informative, and effective methods of delivering information since people are getting more accustomed to the use of e-learning. With the help of Artificial Intelligence, these methods can be refined to understand the users on a deeper level and provide services that are helpful and are more tailored to each user. The purpose of this project is to design an e-learning platform equipped for both educators and students. The system will be able to allow users to record/upload lecture sessions and other related study materials to the service which in return, with the use of Artificial Intelligence, try to understand the context of each lesson, segment videos, generate questions and deliver the materials to the Learner. The system will use various inputs from the Learner including video observation time, watched duration, types of videos watched, answers for questions, etc. to build a comprehensive profile of Learners. The system will use the knowledge gathered to provide services such as recommendations to the Learner, track the progress of the Learner as well as provide useful statistics of lecture materials to the Content Providers. © 2021 IEEE.
