Artificial Intelligence Augmented software Development Life Cycle is a process for developing software that incorporates AI techniques and technologies. One aspect of AIASDLC is knowledge vaporization, which refers to the process of extracting and encapsulating knowledge from the AI model during development and making it available for use in other parts of the software development life cycle. The advantages of AIASDLC include;improved performance, increased efficiency, better decision-making, better user experience, better scalability, better security and compliance, and knowledge vaporization. Requirement engineering is the process of gathering, analyzing, and specifying the requirements for a software system. The context boundary, domain knowledge, application domain, and system boundary are all important concepts in requirement engineering that help define the scope and constraints of the system being developed. Understanding the context boundary is important because it helps identify the external factors that will affect the requirements of the system. Domain knowledge is the understanding and expertise in a specific field or area that is necessary for effective requirement engineering. The application domain is the specific area or field where the system will be used, and it is important to understand the application domain to gather and document the correct requirements for the system © 2023 IEEE.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) significantly enhances adaptive learning by personalizing and tailoring instruction to individual student needs. AI analyzes data in real-time to create personalized learning paths based on students' strengths, weaknesses, and preferences, which keeps students engaged and motivated. A major benefit of AI in adaptive learning is the provision of real-time feedback and assessment, allowing students to correct mistakes promptly and understand concepts more thoroughly. AI-based intelligent tutoring systems are primarily intended to simulate personalized tutoring processes that guide students in complex problem-solving and answering questions. It is convenient in teaching mathematics, sciences, and languages. AI also supports inclusive education, dealing with diversified learning requirements and styles, such as those of learners with disabilities. For the teacher, AI acts as a reflector of student performance so that one can intervene early and make adjustments in the method of instruction by creating effective learning environments. AI technology is a field in constant development and harbors the potential to change the face of adaptive learning, bringing an upswing in educational outcomes. This article will summarize the advantages and features that merit improvement of the AI-embedded adaptive learning systems with student feedback. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a new method for traffic anomaly identification within the Faster R-CNN framework by combining the DenseNet module with the region proposals (RPs) processing block. The suggested approach seeks to improve feature extraction and RP creation in aerial imagery or CCTV frames to get beyond the drawbacks of the current methods. Discriminative features are extracted through DenseNet, and the RPs block makes it easier to provide a wide range of accurate and varied area proposals. Contrast correction techniques are applied to overcome the difficulties presented by low-resolution and low-contrast images frequently seen in surveillance scenarios. Comparing experimental results to state-of-the-art techniques, one can observe notable resilience and detection accuracy increases. The suggested method works exceptionally well in various traffic scenarios and environmental circumstances, indicating its potential for practical implementation in traffic surveillance systems. Overall, the study contributes to advancing the efficacy and reliability of anomaly detection in urban traffic environments. © 2024 SPIE.

This article examines the parameters of speech recognition in audio recordings containing a variety of phrases uttered by different people with different accents and intonations. The aim of the study is to evaluate the recognition speed, the accuracy of audio-to-text conversion and resource consumption when using SpeechRecognition and Levenshtein libraries. During the analysis, the above libraries were used to record and recognize audio files, as well as to calculate the distance between two lines and determine the recognition accuracy. The findings of this study can be useful for improving speech recognition systems and creating more adaptive and efficient solutions for audio data processing. The results of comparing the accuracy of speech recognition models are recorded in JSON format, after which, using the matplotlib library, they are visualized as graphs, comparing the speed and accuracy of recognition. Visualization of data in this way contributes to their improvement and more effective integration into educational systems. In conclusion, the authors emphasize the prospects for further development of speech recognition technologies in different fields. © 2024 IEEE.

Requirement elicitation (RE) is a cognitively challenging and time-consuming task in software development due to the numerous challenges associated with it including conflicting requirements, unspoken, or assumed requirements, difficulty meeting with relevant stakeholders, stakeholder resistance to change, and not enough time set aside for meetings with all stakeholders. The prime causes of software implementation failure have been identified as inadequacies in the treatment of requirements. Without collecting the quality requirement, cannot achieve the goal of a quality software product. Through identifying the success factors affecting requirement elicitation, the paths to the quality requirements can be identified. The success factors identify through this research are experience, business analyst skills, stakeholder relationship, organizational elicitation process. This study aims to identify the factors affecting requirement elicitation based on the data collected from business analysts and similar positions in the software industry through a survey, interviews, and analyzed data to provide the initial validation for the identified factors. Through the analysis, we identified the main factors affecting successful requirement elicitation with a perfect significance value of less than 0.05 for all factors. © 2022 IEEE.

Changing a person’s posture and low resolution are the key challenges for person re-identification(ReID)in various deep learning *** this paper,we introduce an innovative architecture using a dual attention network that includes an attentionmodule and a joint measurement module of spatial-temporal *** proposed approach can be classified into two main ***,the spatial attention feature map is formed by aggregating features in the spatial ***,the same operation is carried out on the channel dimension to formchannel attention ***,the receptive field size is adjusted adaptively tomitigate the changing person posture ***,we use a joint measurement method for the spatial-temporal information to fully harness the data,and it can also naturally integrate the information into the visual features of supervised ReID and hence overcome the low resolution *** experimental results indicate that our proposed algorithm markedly improves the accuracy in addressing changing human postures and low-resolution issues compared with contemporary leading *** proposed method shows superior outcomes on widely recognized benchmarks,which are the Market-1501,MSMT17,and DukeMTMC-reID ***,the proposed algorithmattains a Rank-1 accuracy of 97.4% and 94.9% mAP(mean Average Precision)on the Market-1501 ***,it achieves a 94.2% Rank-1 accuracy and 91.8% mAP on the DukeMTMC-reID dataset.

Federated Learning (FL) and the Internet of Things (IoT) have revolutionized data processing and analysis, overcoming the traditional limitations of cloud computing. However, traditional machine learning strategies lead to increased costs and catastrophic forgetting due to model retraining with new datasets. Continual learning has been proposed to counter this, enabling models to adapt to new data while preserving previous knowledge, which is beneficial for dynamic edge environments. Despite these advantages, the retention of previous knowledge during the continual learning process may lead to the information leakage. To address the inherent challenges of multitask scenarios, we present a Federated Continual Learning (FCL) framework that integrates the privacy-preserving benefits of Federated Learning (FL) into a continual learning system, ensuring both continual learning and privacy preservation in edge computing data processing and analysis. Specifically, our architecture introduces dedicated fully-connected layers for each task. This architecture ensures that distinctive features pertinent to each task are not only captured but also preserved throughout the model's lifespan. Within our framework, data is processed via task-specific layers. Subsequently, the final label is determined by associating it with the paramount prediction value, thus capitalizing on the model's comprehensive knowledge reservoir to bolster prediction accuracy. We subjected our FCL framework to rigorous validation using two benchmark datasets: MNIST and CFAR-10. Experimental outcomes unequivocally substantiate the efficacy of our proposed methodology. © 2023 IEEE.

In the context of video monitoring or surveillance, particularly in safe city initiatives, visual attributes of individuals such as gender, backpacks, and types of clothing are essential for person search and re-identification. Effectively detecting and extracting these attributes usually necessitates high-quality videos and images, which are often lacking in standard surveillance footage. Beyond improving hardware technology, enhancing inference algorithms for low-resolution (LR) data is essential. This research presents two solutions: developing a unified neural network architecture derived from existing models and introducing a new method for re-identification in LR videos. The proposed architecture, named SRMAR, incorporates Super Resolution (SR) alongside Multi-Attribute Recognition (MAR) models into a single neural network, thereby improving recognition effectiveness. Tests conducted on two benchmark datasets show that the architecture is effective and suitable for recognizing multiple attributes in LR images.

Dual sensing scheduling algorithm for WSN based road network surveillance

In this paper, a dual sensing scheduling algorithm is proposed which is a modified version of VISA technique for sensing scheduling in road networks where targets can enter from both sides of the road. VISA and similar algorithms are based on the idea of designated entrance points and protection points and are very suitable for military scenarios. In comparison, civilian applications mostly use two-way roads and dual carriageways with entrance points on both ends of the roads calling for a modification of the VISA technique to make it suitable for two-way detection. The proposed algorithm achieves detection on a two-way road by using two parallel scan waves originating from the midpoint sensor on the road segment but in opposite directions. The proposed modification of the VISA algorithm improves the detection time by reducing it to half as compared to VISA but at the cost of decreased network lifetime. The proposed algorithm is also compared to Duty Cycling and Always-Awake schemes. In addition, a very simple hole handling method is proposed which applies a comprehensive labeling scheme on all the sensors of the road network represented as vertices in an undirected graph of road network. © 2021 the Author(s), licensee AIMS Press.
