To prevent irreversible damage to one’s eyesight,ocular diseases(ODs)need to be recognized and treated *** fundus imaging(CFI)is a screening technology that is both effective and *** to CFIs,the early stages of the disease are characterized by a paucity of observable symptoms,which necessitates the prompt creation of automated and robust diagnostic *** traditional research focuses on image-level diagnostics that attend to the left and right eyes in isolation without making use of pertinent correlation data between the two sets of *** addition,they usually only target one or a few different kinds of eye diseases at the same *** this study,we design a patient-level multi-label OD(PLML_ODs)classification model that is based on a spatial correlation network(SCNet).This model takes into consideration the relevance of patient-level diagnosis combining bilateral eyes and multi-label ODs ***_ODs is made up of three parts:a backbone convolutional neural network(CNN)for feature extraction i.e.,DenseNet-169,a SCNet for feature correlation,and a classifier for the development of classification *** DenseNet-169 is responsible for retrieving two separate sets of attributes,one from each of the left and right *** then,the SCNet will record the correlations between the two feature sets on a pixel-by-pixel *** the attributes have been analyzed,they are integrated to provide a representation at the patient *** the whole process of ODs categorization,the patient-level representation will be *** efficacy of the PLML_ODs is examined using a soft margin loss on a dataset that is readily accessible to the public,and the results reveal that the classification performance is significantly improved when compared to several baseline approaches.

The development of Decision Support Systems (DSS) for several companies operating in sectors such as tourism, healthcare, or others, presents significant challenges due to the nature of their multi-component architecture. A typical DSS consists of a data component, a model component incorporating machine learning and deep learning techniques, and a user interface component, each one requires diverse technologies. This complexity increases development time and effort, hindering the efficient design of DSS tailored to specific domains like tourism, where real-time decision-making is essential. One promising approach to overcome these challenges is the use of Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs). DSLs allow developers to model and generate code more efficiently by providing high-level abstractions suited to the domain. By leveraging DSLs, it is possible to simplify the design process and automate the generation of code or parts of the DSS, thereby reducing the overall complexity and time required for development. This paper proposes a metamodel for designing DSS, specifically for the Smart Tourism sector. The metamodel serves as a foundation for the creation of DSL. The goal is to provide a solution to facilitate the development of DSS for the demands of tourism. The paper outlines the key concepts, approach, and results, presenting the first element of the proposed DSL which is the metamodel capturing the essential components and relationships for DSS in Smart Tourism. © 2024 IEEE.

Retrieval augmented generation (RAG) models, which integrate large-scale pre-trained generative models with external retrieval mechanisms, have shown significant success in various natural language processing (NLP) tasks. However, applying RAG models in Persian language as a low-resource language, poses distinct challenges. These challenges primarily involve the preprocessing, embedding, retrieval, prompt construction, language modeling, and response evaluation of the system. In this paper, we address the challenges towards implementing a real-world RAG system for Persian language called PersianRAG. We propose novel solutions to overcome these obstacles and evaluate our approach using several Persian benchmark datasets. Our experimental results demonstrate the capability of the PersianRAG framework to enhance question answering task in Persian. © 2024 IEEE.

The development of smart systems is fundamental to improve the competitiveness of tourist destinations, by exploiting technologies such as Recommender Systems (RS) and Decision Support Systems (DSS). In this article, we propose an approach based on Model-Driven engineering (MDE) for the creation of a software factory dedicated to the design of RS and DSS for tourism destination managers. This software factory is based on two main assets: a Domain-Specific Language (DSL) for recommendation systems and another DSL for decision support systems. The main aim of this approach is to reduce the complexity and development time of this type of application. © 2024 IEEE.

This comprehensive review starts with diving into the progress and real-world applications of combining multi-omics data analysis with machine learning techniques in cancer research. Multi-omics involves examining various biological data types like genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics together to enhance our understanding of complex biological systems. By merging machine learning with multiomics data, we highlight the advantages for cancer studies, the deeper insights they yield and increased performance and results. Furthermore, we explore existing literature that showcases the integration of multi-omics and machine learning in cancer research. As part of our study, we conduct an experiment utilizing a multiomics dataset to predict the survival of breast cancer patients. We compare three distinct machine learning methods-ensemble, DeepProg, and DCAP-for survival prediction and conclude that despite the ensemble method that increased the prediction results of DeepProg over DCAP in multi-model setting, but the primitive capacity for DCAP is better in single model setting and achieves higher accuracy than DeepProg with noticeable margin 0.628 to 0.57 on C-Index metric, which strongly recommends using Denoising Autoencoder as the base for dimensionality reduction over the vanilla Autoencoder. Another empirical results conclude that using gaussian mixture model with diagonal covariance matrix for Clustering, which is used in DeepProg, might hinder the process for identifying reasonable clusters due to the assumption of no or zero correlation between different features which might not hold true in our problem. © 2023 IEEE.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a slowly progressing, irreversible brain condition that weakens memory and negatively affects the patient's quality of life. Alzheimer's disease (AD) can be identified using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) data. For an early diagnosis of the disease, various medical and diagnostic approaches are being investigated. Even while MRI is a useful tool for locating AD-related brain symptoms, the acquisition process is time-consuming, largely because workflow bottlenecks must be manually evaluated. In order to find the best effective method for detecting the disease, this research examines the basic technique for analyzing MRI images. To carry out our study to slow progression of the disease by the use of Alzheimer's disease (AD) prognosis, a dataset from The Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) will be imported and fitted. The outcomes highlight the tremendous potential of integrating imaging data for automated categorization of Alzheimer's disease (AD) using multidisciplinary AI techniques. With a deep three-dimensional convolutional network (3D CNN) being used to handle the three-dimensional MRI input and a Transformer encoder being applied to manage the genetic sequence input, the suggested solution merges machine learning, bioinformatics, and other image processing techniques. After various experiments by checking the results accuracy, it is stated that the CNN model is never enough to provide us with the desired accuracy either by training on both skull stripped data or the GM tissue segmented data. Although, it is relatively better at the skull stripped dataset training, but the results accuracy and predicted classes show that inferring some classifiers after extracting the features from the CNN would increase the accuracy and results. In this paper, we present Russian language datasets in the digital humanities domain for the evaluation of word embedding techniques or similar language modeling and feature learning algorithms. The datasets are split into two task types, word intrusion and word analogy, and contain 31362 task units in total. The characteristics of the tasks and datasets are that they build upon small, domain-specific corpora, and that the datasets contain a high number of named entities. The datasets were created manually for two fantasy novel book series ("A Song of Ice and Fire" and "Harry Potter"). We provide baseline evaluations with popular word embedding models trained on the book corpora for the given tasks, both for the Russian and English language versions of the datasets. Finally, we compare and analyze the results and discuss specifics of Russian language with regards to the problem setting. © 2023, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

An compacted representative signature is a string that persuade the checker to believe that, for all 1 ≤ i ≤ n, the i-th representative signer approved a piece of information. The loss of clandestine keys threatens a security system. We come up with the idea of identity-based key-preserved compacted representative signature (IBKPCRS) in which representative signing keys vary over time. The usage of IBKPCRS is to meet the key-revealing challenge. In the IBKPCRS system, the user sets his telephone number or other overt string as his public key. We give the IBKPCRS scheme as a teaching case of cryptography. © 2023 SPIE.

By the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution,interconnected devices and sensors generate large-scale,dynamic,and inharmonious data in Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)*** vast heterogeneous data increase the challenges of security risks and data analysis *** IIoT grows,cyber-attacks become more diverse and complex,making existing anomaly detection models less effective to *** this paper,an ensemble deep learning model that uses the benefits of the Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)and the AutoEncoder(AE)architecture to identify out-of-norm activities for cyber threat hunting in IIoT is *** this model,the LSTM is applied to create a model on normal time series of data(past and present data)to learn normal data patterns and the important features of data are identified by AE to reduce data *** addition,the imbalanced nature of IIoT datasets has not been considered in most of the previous literature,affecting low accuracy and *** solve this problem,the proposed model extracts new balanced data from the imbalanced datasets,and these new balanced data are fed into the deep LSTM AE anomaly detection *** this paper,the proposed model is evaluated on two real IIoT datasets-Gas Pipeline(GP)and Secure Water Treatment(SWaT)that are imbalanced and consist of long-term and short-term dependency on *** results are compared with conventional machine learning classifiers,Random Forest(RF),Multi-Layer Perceptron(MLP),Decision Tree(DT),and Super Vector Machines(SVM),in which higher performance in terms of accuracy is obtained,99.3%and 99.7%based on GP and SWaT datasets,***,the proposed ensemble model is compared with advanced related models,including Stacked Auto-Encoders(SAE),Naive Bayes(NB),Projective Adaptive Resonance Theory(PART),Convolutional Auto-Encoder(C-AE),and Package Signatures(PS)based LSTM(PS-LSTM)model.
