Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a widely used tool for risk analysis, primarily to identify risk factors affecting system quality. Due to the limitations of the traditional FMEA model, several recent models incorporating advanced fuzzy set extensions have been developed to enhance the reliability of risk assessment outcomes. However, most of these models limit expert flexibility in expressing preferences and often overlook the impact of unequal expert weights and the stability of risk ranking results. This study introduces a new FMEA model based on Q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Sets (Q-ROFSs), termed Q-ROFSs-FMEA. Q-ROFSs, an extension of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, introduce a new linguistic term. The Q-ROFSs-FMEA model considers the unequal weights of experts, enabling a dynamic representation of expert preferences. These weights and the linguistic evaluation of risk factors are integrated through an aggregation operator, facilitating consensus among experts. The model is applied to a case study on COVID-19 risk factors, revealing that ‘older age’ (risk priority number 0.000012) is the highest risk factor, while ‘gender’ (risk priority number -0.0037) is the lowest. It is found that the ranking of risk factors determined by the Q-ROFSs-FMEA model is obtained as FM1 FM3 FM6 FM4 FM5 FM7 FM8 FM2 . Furthermore, a comparative analysis indicates consistent ranking results across different models, demonstrating the reliability of the proposed model. The case study and comparative analysis validate the effectiveness and applicability of the Q-ROFSsbased risk assessment model. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika. All rights reserved.

Robot localization is a fundamental competency required by an autonomous robot because the robot's location knowledge is an essential precursor to making decisions about future actions. Accurate localization of robots or autonomous vehicles is the most important requirement for autonomous applications. In this manuscript, a part-based convolutional neural network and dual interactive Wasserstein generative adversarial networks for landmark detection and localization of autonomous robots in an outdoor environment are proposed (P-CNN-DIWGAN-LMD-LZ). This research contains two phases landmark detection phase and the localization phase. In the landmark detection phase, the part-based convolutional neural network (P-CNN) is proposed to detect landmarks in capturing images. This landmark detection process creates 3 categories of responses for every detected landmarks instance: bounding box, label, and score. The bounding box has positioning with the sizing of detected landmarks at the input imagery. Label implicates detected landmark's class name. A score signifies an abjectness score that scales bounding box membership for landmarks or background classes. In the localization phase, a dual interactive Wasserstein generative adversarial network (DIWGAN) is proposed to determine robot location coordinates. Finally, the proposed method attains high robot localization recall at high accuracy in the real-world environment. Here, the outdoor robot localization dataset is taken from the KITTI dataset. The proposed method is implemented in Python;its performance is estimated under certain performance metrics, like mean absolute error (MAE), cosine proximity (CP), and accuracy. The performance of the proposed method shows higher accuracy compared with existing approaches, like DQP-ODA-LMD-LZ, TDL-LMD-LZ, and 3D-RISS-MLEVD- LMD-LZ. © 2022 IEEE.

Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD)is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by significant challenges in social interaction,communication,and repetitive *** and precise ASD detection is crucial,particularly in regions with limited diagnostic resources like *** study aims to conduct an extensive comparative analysis of various machine learning classifiers for ASD detection using facial images to identify an accurate and cost-effective solution tailored to the local *** research involves experimentation with VGG16 and MobileNet models,exploring different batch sizes,optimizers,and learning rate *** addition,the“Orange”machine learning tool is employed to evaluate classifier performance and automated image processing capabilities are utilized within the *** findings unequivocally establish VGG16 as the most effective classifier with a 5-fold cross-validation ***,VGG16,with a batch size of 2 and the Adam optimizer,trained for 100 epochs,achieves a remarkable validation accuracy of 99% and a testing accuracy of 87%.Furthermore,the model achieves an F1 score of 88%,precision of 85%,and recall of 90% on test *** validate the practical applicability of the VGG16 model with 5-fold cross-validation,the study conducts further testing on a dataset sourced fromautism centers in Pakistan,resulting in an accuracy rate of 85%.This reaffirms the model’s suitability for real-world ASD *** research offers valuable insights into classifier performance,emphasizing the potential of machine learning to deliver precise and accessible ASD diagnoses via facial image analysis.

We report on the design, development and prototype testing of gensimo (GENeric Social Insurance MOdeling), a free and open-source software framework for modelling and simulation of social insurance systems. We discuss the conceptual and software design considerations of the framework in general before demonstrating how it works in detail by setting it up to model a particular social insurance scheme. We then present how we used this prototype set up to model the impact of a policy intervention on the workload of the insurer. While gensimo is under active development and we are a while away from serious verification and validation, this prototype testing shows realistic results. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) are a severe complication in diabetic patients, requiring accurate and early diagnosis to prevent further complications such as infection or amputation. To address this, Research employed YOLO and SSD models for automated DFU detection from medical images, comparing their performance based on key evaluation metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Results demonstrate that both models perform exceptionally well, with SSD achieving an accuracy of 98.7%, surpassing YOLO's 97.5%. Additionally, SSD exhibited superior precision (99%), recall (98.9%), and F1-score (99.1%), indicating its robustness in detecting ulcerated regions of varying sizes and stages. These results were further contextualized through a comparison with previous studies, where SSD outperformed several CNN-based models, which achieved accuracy ranging from 93.7% to 97.0%. The SSD model's multi-scale object detection capabilities, combined with transfer learning and data augmentation techniques, contributed to its high performance. Overall, this study demonstrates the potential of deploying SSD and YOLO models in clinical settings for early and accurate DFU detection, paving the way for more reliable and timely interventions in diabetic care. Deep learning-based hyperspectral image (HSI) compression has recently attracted great attention in remote sensing due to the growth of hyperspectral data archives. Most of the existing models achieve either spectral or spatial compression and do not jointly consider the spatio-spectral redundancies present in HSIs. To address this problem, in this paper, we propose High Fidelity Compression (HiFiC)-based models for spatio-spectral compression of HSIs. In detail, we introduce two new models: i) HiFiC using Squeeze and Excitation (SE) blocks (denoted as HiFiCsE);and ii) HiFiC with 3D convolutions (denoted as HiFiC3D) in the framework of compression of HSIs. We analyze the effectiveness of HiFiCsE and HiFiC3D in compressing the spatio-spectral redundancies with channel attention and inter-dependency analysis. Experimental results show the efficacy of the proposed models in performing spatio-spectral compression, while reconstructing images at reduced bitrates with higher reconstruction quality. This paper presents a tool relying on data service architecture, where technical details of all VBS datasets are completely hidden behind an abstract stateless data layer. The data services allow independent development of interactive search interfaces and refinement techniques, which is demonstrated by a smart front-end component. The component supports common search features and allows users to exploit content-based statistics for effective filtering. We believe that video data services might be a valuable addition to the open-source VBS toolkit, especially when available for the competition on a shared server with all VBS datasets, extracted features, and meta-data behind. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce some approximation properties of a Kantorovich kind q-Bernstein operators related to B′ezier basis functions with shape parameterλ∈[−1,1].Firstly,we compute some basic results such as moments and central moments,and derive the Korovkin type approximation theorem for these ***,we estimate the order of convergence in terms of the usual modulus of continuity,for the functions belong to Lipschitz-type class and Peetre’s K-functional,***,with the aid of Maple software,we present the comparison of the convergence of these newly defined operators to the certain function with some graphical illustrations and error estimation table.
