The government of Bangladesh has implemented the “Stay Home” policy following the WHO recommendation to resist the community transmission of Covid-19. As a result, the routine activities of all government, semi-government establishments, including educational institutions, are severely affected, and the country's economic growth becomes slowed down. To overcome such a situation, the relevant authorities have introduced the “Work from Home” policy for the employees and “Remote Education” for students. However, due to the persistence of multi-dimensional socio-economic problems, many employees and students face big challenges in performing their regular jobs while adopting such a policy. Consequently, enormous psychological anxiety has been developed for all people, including students, parents, employees, etc., and concurrently created severe changes in their behavior. This study aims to analyze the reasons for the behavioral changes of the employees, students, academic staff, and family members of different ages due to psychological anxiety, stress, or physical issues. A comprehensive online-based survey has been carried out on people working in various sectors in Bangladesh. A modified Apriori Algorithm has been used to sort out the associations between the causes and types of behavioral changes. Analyzed data revealed a massive human behavioral change in most participants. This finding indicates that the negligence of those significant human behavioral changes may cause a higher risk of creating psychological imbalance. Therefore, there is a need to have a solid understanding of the reasons for the behavioral changes and set up standard guidelines to maintain “Work from Home” in this Covid-19 situation to avoid psychological imbalance. Based on this study, some suggestions have been given for implementation by the government on an urgent basis. © 2023

The Integrated Sensing and communications (ISAC) paradigm is anticipated to be a cornerstone of the upcoming 6G networks. In order to optimize the use of wireless resources, 6G ISAC systems need to harness the communication data payload signals, which are inherently random, for both sensing and communication (S&C) purposes. This tutorial paper provides a comprehensive technical overview of the fundamental theory and signal processing methodologies for ISAC transmission with random communication signals. We begin by introducing the deterministic-random tradeoff (DRT) between S&C from an information-theoretic perspective, emphasizing the need for specialized signal processing techniques tailored to random ISAC signals. Building on this foundation, we review the core signal models and processing pipelines for communication-centric ISAC systems, and analyze the average squared auto-correlation function (ACF) of random ISAC signals, which serves as a fundamental performance metric for multi-target ranging tasks. Drawing insights from these theoretical results, we outline the design principles for the three key components of communication-centric ISAC systems: modulation schemes, constellation design, and pulse shaping filters. The goal is to either enhance sensing performance without compromising communication efficiency or to establish a scalable tradeoff between the two. We then extend our analysis from a single-antenna ISAC system to its multi-antenna counterpart, discussing recent advancements in multiinput multi-output (MIMO) precoding techniques specifically designed for random ISAC signals. We conclude by highlighting several open challenges and future research directions in the field of sensing with communication signals. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Service-Orientation (SO) is a paradigm for developing collaboration platforms that promote services as reusable components. Service identification (SI) occurs earlier to identify patterns of a business process (BP) or model that can become software services. Although there exist several SI strategies, most are devised within the context of organizations with mature business processes and formalized structures. There is therefore a need for SI strategies that cater for the emerging heterogeneous and collaborative environments such as exists for small and micro enterprises (SMEs). This paper develops the Activity-based SI Framework (ASIF) from Activity-Theory using design science research (DSR) methods. Six collaboration attributes were elicited for SME;domain-oriented collaboration activity, actions of stakeholders towards the collaboration objective, heterogeneous stakeholders in a problem domain, autonomous actions of a participant, norms(rules) and structures(DOL), and interactive processes of stakeholders during collaboration. The framework is demonstrated using peer-to-peer collaborative lending activities of SMEs in Ethiopia called ‘EQUIB’. The findings show that the framework is promising in accurately guiding the identification of reusable and composable services in SME heterogeneous and collaborative contexts. © 2021, CC BY.

Biodiesel has gained tremendous attention from researchers due to its environmentally friendly and renewable fuel manufactured domestically from vegetable oils or animal fats. Multiple factors, including emission and fuel efficiency, measure the performance of biodiesel. These characteristics make the process of evaluation and benchmarking a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem. This research attempts to survey the literature for multi-criteria decision-making applications on biodiesel. This systematic review was carried out on four scientific databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore, and WoS. The collected articles were summarized and mapped into a coherent taxonomy, while the main challenges, motivations, and recommendations were collected and categorized for better understanding and finding out essential characteristics. The final set of included articles was 33, and they were categorized into six different categories. Most articles (n=15/33) investigated the evaluation and selection of biodiesel alternatives using MCDM. Furthermore, a state-of-art bibliometric analysis is provided. The analysis demonstrates several challenges in this area, such as source selection, optimum fuel blending, and uncertainty. This article is expected to assist future researchers in addressing the current gaps and contribute to advancing this area. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

One of the contemporary developments in educational technology is artificial intelligence (AI) in the education. The use of AI will lead to a significant change in governance across the board for UAE institutes of learning. The potential use of AI in education includes an examination of the educational consequences, including how teachers would be enriched, how students would learn, and how fast and accurate judgements could be made in education institutions. Given this situation, AI assistance is absolutely necessary. Despite the fact that it has been around for close to 30 years, educators are still confused of how to use it pedagogically on a broader scale and how it may actually have a big impact on teaching and learning in higher education. Through an empirical review, this research aims to present an empirical analysis of the application of artificial intelligence in educational system with mediating effect of smart learning. This research carried out empirical evidence from 28 educational institutions based in UAE. The managerial and professors were approached in order to answer the online questionnaire. 195 valid responses were considered for data analysis using SmartPLS. Model assessment done on the basis of various tests, for instance, reliability, discriminant validity, PLS-SEM. The findings suggest a significant relationship between artificial intelligence and educational system, and mediating role of smart learning is predicted to be significant. Hence, the intention to use artificial intelligence with smart learning can enhance the academic learning outcomes.

Employee happiness plays a significant role in the functioning of a contemporary business organization as it helps to boost the skills and abilities of employees and assists them to function better in their jobs. Moreover, it helps to create a cordial relationship between the employer and the employee, which further assists in retaining skilled staff within an organization. Employee happiness further helps an organization to achieve successful operational channels as well as organizational growth and sustained development. The aim of this research is to study a set of aspects that affect employee-to-employee relationships and how these relations influence happiness, which, in turn, helps an organization to flourish in the current competitive business environment. The selected aspects are employee engagement, employee emotions, shared values, employee knowledge, employee rewards, employee empowerment and work performance. A set of hypotheses have been developed and tested in real business contexts in addition to the study's model. Results indicated that all the studied concepts affected employee-employee relationships inside the workplace and enhanced the business workplace environment and helped in shaping employee happiness. This paper presents additional practical and theoretical implications in addition to a number of future research venues. © 2023 The Authors

Unified Relationship between Cold Plasma Ejections and Flare Energies Ranging from Solar Microflares to Giant Stellar Flares

We often find spectral signatures of chromospheric cold plasma ejections accompanied by flares in a wide range of spatial scales in the solar and stellar atmospheres. However, the relationship between physical quantities (such as mass, kinetic energy, and velocity) of cold ejecta and flare energy has not been investigated in a unified manner for the entire range of flare energies to date. This study analyzed the spectra of cold plasma ejections associated with small-scale flares and solar flares (energy 1025 − 1029 erg) to supply smaller energy samples. We performed Hα imaging spectroscopy observation by the Solar Dynamics Doppler Imager on the Solar Magnetic Activity Research Telescope (SMART/SDDI). We determined the physical quantities of the ejecta by cloud model fitting to the Hα spectrum. We determined flare energy by differential emission measure analysis using Atmospheric Imaging Assembly onboard Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO/AIA) for small-scale flares and by estimating the bolometric energy for large-scale flares. As a result, we found that the ejection mass M and the total flare energy Etot follow a relation of M ∝ Etot2/3. We show that the scaling law derived from a simple physical model explains the solar and stellar observations with a coronal magnetic field strength as a free parameter. We also found that the kinetic energy and velocity of the ejecta correlate with the flare energy. These results suggest a common mechanism driven by magnetic fields to cause cold plasma ejections with flares on the Sun and stars. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the rapid development of the satellite industry, the information transmission network based on communication satellites has gradually become a major and important part of the future satellite ground integration network. However, the low transmission efficiency of the satellite data relay back mission has become a problem that is currently constraining the construction of the system and needs to be solved urgently. Effectively planning the task of satellite ground networking by reasonably scheduling resources is crucial for the efficient transmission of task data. In this paper, we hope to provide a task execution scheme that maximizes the profit of the networking task for satellite ground network planning considering feeding mode (SGNPFM). To solve the SGNPFM problem, a mixed-integer planning model with the objective of maximizing the gain of the link-building task is constructed, which considers various constraints of the satellite in the feed-switching mode. Based on the problem characteristics, we propose a distance similarity-based genetic optimization algorithm (DSGA), which considers the state characteristics between the tasks and introduces a weighted Euclidean distance method to determine the similarity between the tasks. To obtain more high-quality solutions, different similarity evaluation methods are designed to assist the algorithm in intelligently screening individuals. The DSGAalso uses an adaptive crossover strategy based on similarity mechanism, which guides the algorithm to achieve efficient population search. In addition, a task scheduling algorithm considering the feed-switching mode is designed for decoding the algorithm to generate a highquality scheme. The results of simulation experiments show that the DSGA can effectively solve the SGNPFM problem. In this paper, we propose a differential evolution (DE) algorithm specifically tailored for the design of Linear-Quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) controllers in quantum systems. Building upon the foundational DE framework, the algorithm incorporates specialized modules, including relaxed feasibility rules, a scheduled penalty function, adaptive search range adjustment, and the "bet-and-run" initialization strategy. These enhancements improve the algorithm’s exploration and exploitation capabilities while addressing the unique physical realizability requirements of quantum systems. The proposed method is applied to a quantum optical system, where three distinct controllers with varying configurations relative to the plant are designed. The resulting controllers demonstrate superior performance, achieving lower LQG performance indices compared to existing approaches. Additionally, the algorithm ensures that the designs comply with physical realizability constraints, guaranteeing compatibility with practical quantum platforms. The proposed approach holds significant potential for application to other linear quantum systems in performance optimization tasks subject to physically feasible constraints. This paper presents a study of the radio channel characteristics between a capsule endoscopy and a multi on-body antenna system on ultra wideband wireless body area networks (UWB-WBAN). Multiple on-body antennas are required to provide reliable communication link between the capsule and the on-body device, but also essential for capsule localization. The main aim is to study the variation of the frequency and time domain channel characteristics for the selected on-body antennas in different capsule locations, including the most challenging capsule locations deep inside the tissues or far away from most of the antennas. This study also evaluates whether five of selected type directive on-body antennas is enough to cover the intestine area thoroughly. The study is conducted with CST Studio Suite simulations and one of its anatomical voxel models. A simplified capsule model and a directive on-body antenna designed for low-band UWB in-body communications are used in this study. It is found that five of this type directive on-body antennas provide sufficient coverage over the intestine area even in the most challenging capsule locations. In certain capsule locations, the variation between the channel attenuations can be significant, over 40 dB within the frequency range of interest, if the capsule is located deep inside the tissues without smooth access to outer fat layer through which the signal could travel easily to different on-body antennas. Instead, if the capsule is located close to the subcutaneous fat layer, the channel attenuation is moderate even for the antennas which are located far from the capsule.
