We often find spectral signatures of chromospheric cold plasma ejections accompanied by flares in a wide range of spatial scales in the solar and stellar atmospheres. However, the relationship between physical quantities (such as mass, kinetic energy, and velocity) of cold ejecta and flare energy has not been investigated in a unified manner for the entire range of flare energies to date. This study analyzed the spectra of cold plasma ejections associated with small-scale flares and solar flares (energy 1025 − 1029 erg) to supply smaller energy samples. We performed Hα imaging spectroscopy observation by the Solar Dynamics Doppler Imager on the Solar Magnetic Activity Research Telescope (SMART/SDDI). We determined the physical quantities of the ejecta by cloud model fitting to the Hα spectrum. We determined flare energy by differential emission measure analysis using Atmospheric Imaging Assembly onboard Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO/AIA) for small-scale flares and by estimating the bolometric energy for large-scale flares. As a result, we found that the ejection mass M and the total flare energy Etot follow a relation of M ∝ Etot2/3. We show that the scaling law derived from a simple physical model explains the solar and stellar observations with a coronal magnetic field strength as a free parameter. We also found that the kinetic energy and velocity of the ejecta correlate with the flare energy. These results suggest a common mechanism driven by magnetic fields to cause cold plasma ejections with flares on the Sun and stars. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the rapid development of the satellite industry, the information transmission network based on communication satellites has gradually become a major and important part of the future satellite ground integration network. However, the low transmission efficiency of the satellite data relay back mission has become a problem that is currently constraining the construction of the system and needs to be solved urgently. Effectively planning the task of satellite ground networking by reasonably scheduling resources is crucial for the efficient transmission of task data. In this paper, we hope to provide a task execution scheme that maximizes the profit of the networking task for satellite ground network planning considering feeding mode (SGNPFM). To solve the SGNPFM problem, a mixed-integer planning model with the objective of maximizing the gain of the link-building task is constructed, which considers various constraints of the satellite in the feed-switching mode. Based on the problem characteristics, we propose a distance similarity-based genetic optimization algorithm (DSGA), which considers the state characteristics between the tasks and introduces a weighted Euclidean distance method to determine the similarity between the tasks. To obtain more high-quality solutions, different similarity evaluation methods are designed to assist the algorithm in intelligently screening individuals. The DSGAalso uses an adaptive crossover strategy based on similarity mechanism, which guides the algorithm to achieve efficient population search. In addition, a task scheduling algorithm considering the feed-switching mode is designed for decoding the algorithm to generate a highquality scheme. The results of simulation experiments show that the DSGA can effectively solve the SGNPFM problem. In this paper, we propose a differential evolution (DE) algorithm specifically tailored for the design of Linear-Quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) controllers in quantum systems. Building upon the foundational DE framework, the algorithm incorporates specialized modules, including relaxed feasibility rules, a scheduled penalty function, adaptive search range adjustment, and the "bet-and-run" initialization strategy. These enhancements improve the algorithm’s exploration and exploitation capabilities while addressing the unique physical realizability requirements of quantum systems. The proposed method is applied to a quantum optical system, where three distinct controllers with varying configurations relative to the plant are designed. The resulting controllers demonstrate superior performance, achieving lower LQG performance indices compared to existing approaches. Additionally, the algorithm ensures that the designs comply with physical realizability constraints, guaranteeing compatibility with practical quantum platforms. The proposed approach holds significant potential for application to other linear quantum systems in performance optimization tasks subject to physically feasible constraints. This paper presents a study of the radio channel characteristics between a capsule endoscopy and a multi on-body antenna system on ultra wideband wireless body area networks (UWB-WBAN). Multiple on-body antennas are required to provide reliable communication link between the capsule and the on-body device, but also essential for capsule localization. The main aim is to study the variation of the frequency and time domain channel characteristics for the selected on-body antennas in different capsule locations, including the most challenging capsule locations deep inside the tissues or far away from most of the antennas. This study also evaluates whether five of selected type directive on-body antennas is enough to cover the intestine area thoroughly. The study is conducted with CST Studio Suite simulations and one of its anatomical voxel models. A simplified capsule model and a directive on-body antenna designed for low-band UWB in-body communications are used in this study. It is found that five of this type directive on-body antennas provide sufficient coverage over the intestine area even in the most challenging capsule locations. In certain capsule locations, the variation between the channel attenuations can be significant, over 40 dB within the frequency range of interest, if the capsule is located deep inside the tissues without smooth access to outer fat layer through which the signal could travel easily to different on-body antennas. Instead, if the capsule is located close to the subcutaneous fat layer, the channel attenuation is moderate even for the antennas which are located far from the capsule.

Safety is one of the important factors that should be considered either in the parking area, workplace, home area and so forth. In the university parking area, the students are unable to receive any information regarding a fire smoke or an accident near their vehicle. In addition, the parking safety also not assured due to the shortage of car superintendence and there is no any strict parking management by the security officer. Therefore, a fire smoke alert monitoring system in the university parking area is necessary in order to prevent any accidents that may cause property breakdown and loss of life as happens inside the university area. This system should be introduced since the existing parking is unsystematic and less efficient as it unable to response the complications that are regularly happen to the students because they do not receive any information regarding a fire smoke or an accident near their vehicle in the parking area. With this new system, a few advancements are implemented in order to help the students in various aspects by using multiple and distinct Arduino devices. Moreover, an android application is developed to facilitate the security officer in order to identify the car information that are involved in the accident that might be occur in the university parking area.

Reconfigurable multiple-input multiple-output can provide performance gains over traditional MIMO by reshaping the channels, i.e., introducing more channel realizations. In this paper, we focus on the achievable rate maximization pattern design for reconfigurable MIMO systems. Firstly, we introduce the matrix representation of pattern reconfigurable MIMO (PR-MIMO), based on which a pattern design problem is formulated. To further reveal the effect of the radiation pattern on the wireless channel, we consider pattern design for both the single-pattern case where the optimized radiation pattern is the same for all the antenna elements, and the multi-pattern case where different antenna elements can adopt different radiation patterns. For the single-pattern case, we show that the pattern design is equivalent to a redistribution of gains among all scattering paths, and an eigenvalue optimization based solution is obtained. For the multi-pattern case, we propose a sequential optimization framework with manifold optimization and eigenvalue decomposition to obtain near-optimal solutions. Numerical results validate the superiority of PR-MIMO systems over traditional MIMO in terms of achievable rate, and also show the effectiveness of the proposed solutions. Introduction: Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is widely used to study neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease (AD). MEG is valuable for examining functional changes in the AD brain due to its non-invasive nature and excellent spatial and temporal resolution. AD is characterized by amyloid-beta and tau protein formation, which disrupts brain networks and leads to memory and cognitive impairments. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate power spectra analysis of brain activity using various source localization methods and machine learning (ML) classification analysis based on GLMNET and correlation thresholds to identify MEG-based features that improve differentiation between healthy controls (HC) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Methods: We used the BioFIND dataset, including MEG data from 324 participants (158 MCI, 166 HC). MEG data were analyzed using custom MATLAB scripts with SPM12 and OSL toolboxes. Source localization methods included Bayesian LORETA (COH), Multiple Sparse Priors (MSP), Empirical Bayesian Beamformer (EBB), exact Low-Resolution Tomography Analysis (eLORETA), and Linearly Constrained Minimum Variance (LCMV). Sensor-based analyses were also conducted. Logistic Regression with L1 penalty (GLMNET) was applied in both sensor and source spaces, with different correlation thresholds for magnetometer (MAG) and gradiometer (GRAD) signals separately. We used 20 Monte Carlo iterations with 10-fold nested cross-validation to assess classifier performance. Results: Optimal performance was achieved using the LCMV method on GRAD sensors with a 0.1 correlation threshold, resulting in 74.57% accuracy, 71.55% sensitivity, and a 73.29% F1 score. Conclusions: This study demonstrates the potential of MEG as a robust tool for distinguishing between individuals with MCI and HC. Providing quality healthcare services and promoting collaborative clinical research are easier and more efficient with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. All aspects of care are included in electronic health records. Data characterized by volume, variety, and velocity is what IBM defines as big data. Therefore, we evidently have a significant problem managing “big EMR data” from a volume, accuracy, and velocity perspective. Data misuse and patient safety are significant risks associated with poorly implemented EMR-based systems. Storage, access, and retrieval of big data are all aspects of security to consider. Location is another important aspect of secure data use, in addition to strong access control mechanisms. Researchers are investigating secure mobile data usage based on location after recent reports of illegal trade and theft of patient data over mobile devices. To improve work flow dynamics and efficiency, healthcare facilities are increasingly using mobile devices. In spite of this, mobile devices are becoming more and more common. A new technique for preventing EMR infiltration and manipulation by hackers using the cloud is presented in this article.

Kidney tumor (KT) is one of the diseases that have affected our society and is the seventh most common tumor in both men and women worldwide. The early detection of KT has significant benefits in reducing death rates, producing preventive measures that reduce effects, and overcoming the tumor. Compared to the tedious and time-consuming traditional diagnosis, automatic detection algorithms of deep learning (DL) can save diagnosis time, improve test accuracy, reduce costs, and reduce the radiologist's workload. In this paper, we present detection models for diagnosing the presence of KTs in computed tomography (CT) scans. Toward detecting and classifying KT, we proposed 2D-CNN models;three models are concerning KT detection such as a 2D convolutional neural network with six layers (CNN-6), a ResNet50 with 50 layers, and a VGG16 with 16 layers. The last model is for KT classification as a 2D convolutional neural network with four layers (CNN-4). In addition, a novel dataset from the King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) has been collected that consists of 8,400 images of 120 adult patients who have performed CT scans for suspected kidney masses. The dataset was divided into 80% for the training set and 20% for the testing set. The accuracy results for the detection models of 2D CNN-6 and ResNet50 reached 97%, 96%, and 60%, respectively. At the same time, the accuracy results for the classification model of the 2D CNN-4 reached 92%. Our novel models achieved promising results;they enhance the diagnosis of patient conditions with high accuracy, reducing radiologist's workload and providing them with a tool that can automatically assess the condition of the kidneys, reducing the risk of misdiagnosis. Disaster mitigation is a significant issue where modern wireless network systems are expected to play a crucial role. It is believed that Visual IoT is one of the key techniques because of its monitoring abilities of urban and rural areas. The outdoor Visual IoT systems generally transfer a large number of footage every day. To detect information from large-size footage datasets, automatic time subtractions between frames are effective. However, to extract even tiny difference between frames, camera shake causes a serious damage. In this study we first survey long-durational footage transmitted from outdoor cameras installed in a city to examine that the stabilization techniques based on feature keypoints are effective to camera shake. Based on this survey we define a matching index to judge if the stabilization is of use or not for every couple of frames. The index is implemented with help of a camera calibration library in OpenCV using AKAZE feature. We then propose a method to stabilize footage continuously obtained by outdoor Visual IoT systems. Using the matching index, we examine one-day footage to find that stabilization is occasionally not applicable in case when the matching index is relatively larger or smaller than 1 (when matching is complete) or the number of matching pairs using AKAZE keypoints are too few. According to the results we set a threshold value of the matching index. We finally perform this technique to footage recorded on a couple of strongly windy days. The efficiency is numerically and visually confirmed on each footage successfully.
