This study presents an AI-driven strategy for enhancing decision-making in healthcare applications by assessing and managing potential risks through the analysis of customer interactions on social media platforms, specifically Twitter. We propose the use of machine learning models to outperform traditional lexical approaches, addressing the complexities inherent in risk detection. Natural language processing methods are employed to efficiently process and analyze textual data, enabling healthcare institutions to make informed decisions about risk management. By leveraging customer feedback from the X platform, our approach aids in the development of effective healthcare programs by identifying and classifying risks. We create three specialized datasets for risk analysis, risk assessment, and hazard classification to optimize the training and deployment phases. In our case study, which focuses on tweets related to healthcare for US consumers, we find that over 50% of the sample identifies potential risks, with nearly 80% indicating medium levels of risk. Commonly identified risks include financial, operational, and strategic threats. The proposed methodology demonstrates an average accuracy of 82.66% in risk detection, identification, and assessment, confirming its effectiveness in supporting AI-driven decision-making in healthcare application development. ©2024 IEEE.

In 2023, Turkiye faced a series of devastating earthquakes and these earthquakes affected millions of people due to damaged constructions. These earthquakes demonstrated the urgent need for advanced automated damage detection models to help people. This study introduces a novel solution to address this challenge through the AttentionPoolMobileNeXt model, derived from a modified MobileNetV2 architecture. To rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of the model, we meticulously curated a dataset comprising instances of construction damage classified into five distinct classes. Upon applying this dataset to the AttentionPoolMobileNeXt model, we obtained an accuracy of 97%. In this work, we have created a dataset consisting of five distinct damage classes, and achieved 97% test accuracy using our proposed AttentionPoolMobileNeXt model. Additionally, the study extends its impact by introducing the AttentionPoolMobileNeXt-based Deep Feature Engineering (DFE) model, further enhancing the classification performance and interpretability of the system. The presented DFE significantly increased the test classification accuracy from 90.17% to 97%, yielding improvement over the baseline model. AttentionPoolMobileNeXt and its DFE counterpart collectively contribute to advancing the state-of-the-art in automated damage detection, offering valuable insights for disaster response and recovery efforts. © The Author(s) 2024.

This article proposes a novel methodology to analyze risks in digital currencies. It depends on the perceptions of users in social media to recognize and estimate the potential risks. Besides, it includes utilizing high-level computational techniques such as big data analysis techniques and natural language processing. We illustrate the suggested system mathematically and some important expressions for risk analysis, risk recognition and risk estimation are driven in closed forms. Moreover, we present a use case study to extract insights about the potential risks related to digital currencies. Further, some indicators are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the suggested approach like the mean accuracy for processes of analyzing risks, identifying risks and assessing risks assessment that is 77 %. © 2023 IEEE.

Artificial Intelligence (AI), with its multiplier effect and wide applications in multiple areas, could potentially be an important application of quantum computing. Since modern AI systems are often built on neural networks, the design of quantum neural networks becomes a key challenge in integrating quantum computing into AI. To provide a more fine-grained characterisation of the impact of quantum components on the performance of neural networks, we propose a framework where classical neural network layers are gradually replaced by quantum layers that have the same type of input and output while keeping the flow of information between layers unchanged, different from most current research in quantum neural network, which favours an end-to-end quantum model. We start with a simple three-layer classical neural network without any normalisation layers or activation functions, and gradually change the classical layers to the corresponding quantum versions. We conduct numerical experiments on image classification datasets such as the MNIST, FashionMNIST and CIFAR-10 datasets to demonstrate the change of performance brought by the systematic introduction of quantum components. Through this framework, our research sheds new light on the design of future quantum neural network models where it could be more favourable to search for methods and frameworks that harness the advantages from both the classical and quantum worlds. © 2024, CC BY.

This study presents a new approach to predict cryptocurrencies risks based on social media platform indicators. This method can help cryptocurrency investors in their future decision-making. It utilizes advanced techniques such machine learning and natural language processing. Furthermore, a case study on American cryptocurrency investors is provided to help them identify and assess the risks associated with their purchases. In the intricate domain of software systems verification, dynamically model checking multifaceted system characteristics remains paramount, yet challenging. This research proposes the advanced observe-based statistical model-checking (OSM) framework, devised to craft executable formal models directly from foundational system code. Leveraging model checking predicates, the framework melds seamlessly with aspect-oriented programming paradigms, yielding a potent method for the analytical verification of varied behavioral attributes. Exploiting the transformative capacity of OSM framework, primary system code undergoes a systematic metamorphosis into multifaceted analysis constructs. This not only simplifies the model verification process but also orchestrates feature interactions using an innovative observing join point abstraction mechanism. Within this framework, components encompassing parsing, formal verification, computational analytics, and rigorous validation are intrinsically interwoven. Marrying the principles of model checking with aspect-oriented (AO) modularization, OSM framework stands as a paragon, proficiently scrutinizing and affirming system specifications. This ensures the unyielding performance of electronic health record systems amidst shifting preconditions. OSM framework offers runtime verification of both object-oriented and AO deployments, positioning itself as an indispensable open-source resource, poised to automate the enhancement of system performance and scalability. Illegal mining activities present significant environmental, economic, and safety challenges, particularly in remote and under-monitored regions. Traditional surveillance methods are often inefficient, labor-intensive, and unable to provide real-time insights. To address this issue, this study proposes a computer vision-based solution leveraging the state-of-the-art YOLOv11 Nano and Small models, fine-tuned for the detection of illegal mining activities. A specific dataset comprising aerial and ground-level images of mining sites was curated and annotated to train the models for identifying unauthorized excavation, equipment usage, and human presence in restricted zones. The proposed system integrates the hardware-software design of YOLOv11 on the PynqZ1 FPGA, offering a highperformance, low-latency, and energy-efficient solution suitable for real-time monitoring in resource-constrained environments. This hardware-accelerated approach combines FPGA's parallel processing capabilities with the lightweight deep learning models, enabling efficient deployment for automated illegal mining detection. By providing a scalable, real-time monitoring tool, this work contributes to the development of automated enforcement tools for the mining industry, ensuring better control and surveillance of mining activities. To validate the efficiency of deep learning deployment on edge devices, YOLOv11n was implemented on an FPGA, utilizing 70% of available LUTs, 50% of FFs, and 80% of DSPs, with 8.3 Mbits of on-chip memory. The design achieved 100.33 GOP/s throughput, 18 FPS at 55 ms latency, consuming 4.8 W, and delivering an energy efficiency of 20.90 GOP/s/W. © (2025), (Science and information Organization).
