A traditional sorting system generally adopts teaching or off-line *** cannot make an adjustment at once when the work environment *** at the shortcomings of the traditional way of sorting,an industrial robot sorting system was investigated based on robot vision for Parallel robot and Cognex In – Sight 7000 series industrial intelligent *** system integrated the advantages of the visual system and the parallel robot *** make some corresponding improvements of classical Canny edge detection operator,and extract the image edge information as matching *** overcomes the impact of illumination on the visual *** visual system can automatically recognize position and classification information of objects when the sorting objects come into the camera view through the conveyor *** system significantly improves the robot's ability to adapt to the working environment,and the production efficiency,making the system more *** the same time,the experimental results show that the hardware and software design of the system is correct,and it has high sorting success rate.

In image processing measuring and valuing a distance between two points is important. The obtained values can be used for determining whether two points are close to each other or to define weights for a filter concentrated around a central element. While there are measures of proximity, neither of them was defined with a such use in mind, mostly concentrating on problem of an optimization. The idea is to turn the Euclidean distance between two points into a measure of how close (or far) two points are from each other, basing on two given ranges. The function was mostly obtained by a theoretical analysis supported with a mathematical calculation and examples of use. As it was proven in the work, the obtained function can be implemented not only to measure proximity, but also as a flexible kernel for image filters, allowing for blurring or edge-detection.

We are entering a new AI era, and the development of AI technology and popularization of AI education has become the national strategy of China. The primary and secondary school students are the builder of future society, and have strong curiosity and passion to learn new things; therefore, we should make a good preparation of AI education for them and cultivate their basic AI literacy and computational thinking to adapt to the future. In this paper, from the viewpoint of thinking mode and literacy and skill training, a curriculum including basic, project, and practical types is designed. Integrating with the iSTREAM educational system proposed by Chinese Academy of Sciences, exploratory works were shown with some case studies. The applications show that AI education is helpful to enrich the study of primary and secondary school students and to prompt comprehensive quality.

Directional data emerge in many scientific disciplines due to the nature of the observed phenomena or the working principles of a sensor. The problem of tracking with direction-only sensors is challenging since the motion of the target typically resides either in 3D or 2D Euclidean space, while the corresponding measurements reside either on the unit sphere or the unit circle, respectively. Furthermore, in multitarget tracking there is the need to deal with the problem of pairing sensors measurements with targets in the presence of clutter (the data association problem). In this paper we propose to approach multitarget tracking in clutter with directiononly data by setting it on the unit hypersphere, thus tracking the objects with a Bayesian estimator based on the von Mises-Fisher distribution and probabilistic data association. To achieve this goal we derive the probabilistic data association (PDA) filter and the joint probabilistic data association (JPDA) filter for the Bayesian von Mises-Fisher estimation on the unit hypersphere. The final PDA and JPDA filter equations are derived with respect to the Kullback-Leibler divergence by preserving the first moment of the hyperspherical distribution. Although the fundamental equations are given for the hyperspherical case, we focus on the filters on the unit 1-sphere (circle in 2) and the unit 2-sphere (surface of the unit ball in 3). The proposed approach is validated through synthetic data experiments on 100 Monte Carlo runs simulating multitarget tracking with noisy directional measurements and clutter. © 2016 JAIF.

Distributed coordination algorithms (DCA) carry out information processing processes among a group of networked agents without centralized information fusion. Though it is well known that DCA characterized by an SIA (stochastic, indecomposable, aperiodic) matrix generate consensus asymptotically via synchronous iterations, the dynamics of DCA with asynchronous iterations have not been studied extensively, especially when viewed as stochastic processes. This paper aims to show that for any given irreducible stochastic matrix, even non-SIA, the corresponding DCA lead to consensus successfully via random asynchronous iterations under a wide range of conditions on the transition probability. Particularly, the transition probability is neither required to be independent and identically distributed, nor characterized by a Markov chain. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Since its first identification in Scotland, over 1,000 cases of unexplained paediatric hepatitis in children have been reported worldwide, including 278 cases in the UK¹. Here we report an investigation of 38 cases, 66 age-matched immunocompetent controls and 21 immunocompromised comparator participants, using a combination of genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic and immunohistochemical methods. We detected high levels of adeno-associated virus 2 (AAV2) DNA in the liver, blood, plasma or stool from 27 of 28 cases. We found low levels of adenovirus (HAdV) and human herpesvirus 6B (HHV-6B) in 23 of 31 and 16 of 23, respectively, of the cases tested. By contrast, AAV2 was infrequently detected and at low titre in the blood or the liver from control children with HAdV, even when profoundly immunosuppressed. AAV2, HAdV and HHV-6 phylogeny excluded the emergence of novel strains in cases. Histological analyses of explanted livers showed enrichment for T cells and B lineage cells. Proteomic comparison of liver tissue from cases and healthy controls identified increased expression of HLA class 2, immunoglobulin variable regions and complement proteins. HAdV and AAV2 proteins were not detected in the livers. Instead, we identified AAV2 DNA complexes reflecting both HAdV-mediated and HHV-6B-mediated replication. We hypothesize that high levels of abnormal AAV2 replication products aided by HAdV and, in severe cases, HHV-6B may have triggered immune-mediated hepatic disease in genetically and immunologically predisposed children. © 2023, The Author(s).

Entanglement lies at the heart of quantum mechanics, and has been identified an essential resource for diverse applications in quantum information. If entanglement could be verified without any trust in the devices of observers, i.e., in a device-independent (DI) way, then the high security can be guaranteed for various quantum information processing tasks. In this work, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a DI protocol to certify the presence of entanglement based on Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) steering. We first establish the DI verification framework by taking the advantages of measurement-device-independent technique and self-testing, which is able to verify all bipartite EPR-steerable states. In the scenario of three-measurement settings for per party, the protocol is robust in tolerance of inefficient measurements and imperfect self-testing. Moreover, a four-photon experiment is implemented for verification beyond Bell nonlocal states. Our work presents the new insight into quantum physics and paves the way for realistic implementations of secure quantum information processing tasks. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. The aim of this study is to examine the robust control design based on coefficient diagram method with backstepping control combined with an observer for position control of the flexible joint manipulator. A simulation model with stability analysis was established where the parameters of the observer-controller are tuned by means of particle swarm optimization. Through this study, it was found that the proposed control scheme is effective, and the results indicate that ours approach ensures the asymptotic convergence of the actual joints positions to theirs desired trajectory, and robustness where the system is subjected to external disturbance and parameters uncertainties. © 2017 Lavoisier

A Software-Defined Network (SDN) architecture was proposed to enhance the performance, flexibility and scalability of networks. However, SDN features such as centralized controlling, network programmability and virtualization present new security challenges to networks. This article will address security challenges related to SDN connection data transfer channels (i.e., control layer and infrastructure layer) and propose a novel connection data transfer channels architecture based on an OpenFlow protocol. Existing SDN OpenFlow protocols rely on higher layer secure mechanisms such as TLS (Transport Layer Security) / SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) sessions. It is concluded that the transfer of secured data using elliptical curve encryption provides a more efficient SDN network. The proposed architecture was implemented in a testbed and its security features were analyzed.
