DNA is one part of a biological sequence other than RNA and protein. DNA is a nucleic acid that stores all the unique biological information of every living thing and several viruses. Someone who has an illness can be seen in the structure of the DNA which can then be compared with other DNA structures. This process is part of sequence analysis which is the core of bioinformatics. This study aims to analyze the results of sequences alignment of cancer. The sequence was obtained from DNA leukemia taken from GenBank (***). In the sequence analysis, the most basic thing is the sequence alignment. Alignment results can provide information about the level of similarity in the structure of the two sequences. This study will apply the Super Pairwise Alignment method that is implemented in JAVA-based programming languages. Alignment results are carried out by giving different values of gap penalty and gap extend. The results of the study obtained different alignment values, this proves that there is a significant effect of the selection of core parameters used in alignment. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A vehicle engine cooling system is of utmost importance to ensure that the engine operates in a safe temperature *** most radiators that are used to cool an engine,water serves as a cooling *** performance of a radiator in terms of heat transmission is significantly influenced by the incorporation of nanoparticles into the cooling *** and uniformity of nanoparticle distribution are the two major factors for the practical use of *** shape and size of nanoparticles also have a great impact on the performance of heat *** researchers are investigating the impact of nanoparticles on heat *** study aims to develop an artificial neural network(ANN)model for predicting the thermal conductivity of an ethylene glycol(EG)/waterbased crystalline nanocellulose(CNC)nanofluid for cooling internal combustion *** implementation of an artificial neural network considering different activation functions in the hidden layer is made to find the bestmodel for the cooling of an engine using the *** of the model with different activation functions in artificial neural networks are analyzed for different nanofluid concentrations and *** artificial neural networks,Levenberg–Marquardt is an optimization approach used with activation functions,including Tansig and Logsig functions in the training *** findings of each training,testing,and validation phase are presented to demonstrate the network that provides the highest level of *** best result was obtained with Tansig,which has a correlation of 0.99903 and an error of 3.7959×10^(–8).It has also been noticed that the Logsig function can also be a good model due to its correlation of 0.99890 and an error of 4.9218×10^(–8).Thus ourANNwith Tansig and Logsig functions demonstrates a high correlation between the actual output and the predicted output.

MG-Net: Learn to Customize QAOA with Circuit Depth Awareness

Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA) and its variants exhibit immense potential in tackling combinatorial optimization challenges. However, their practical realization confronts a dilemma: the requisite circuit depth for satisfactory performance is problem-specific and often exceeds the maximum capability of current quantum devices. To address this dilemma, here we first analyze the convergence behavior of QAOA, uncovering the origins of this dilemma and elucidating the intricate relationship between the employed mixer Hamiltonian, the specific problem at hand, and the permissible maximum circuit depth. Harnessing this understanding, we introduce the Mixer Generator Network (MG-Net), a unified deep learning framework adept at dynamically formulating optimal mixer Hamiltonians tailored to distinct tasks and circuit depths. Systematic simulations, encompassing Ising models and weighted Max-Cut instances with up to 64 qubits, substantiate our theoretical findings, highlighting MG-Net's superior performance in terms of both approximation ratio and efficiency. © 2024, CC BY.

In the era of global digitalization, digital innovation hubs have become essential, as they function as transforming forces. In this paper, we provide an analysis of the Montenegrin Academic Digital Innovation Hub by applying multi-criteria qualitative evaluation over several criteria: process flow of fully digitized operations of the Hub (with aspects of the innovation life-cycle, ethics, and security), resource management, strategic goals, and feasibility. The paper also proposes a model of comprehensive resource management via the perspective of smart specialization priorities of Montenegro. © 2023 IEEE.

The global currency market, which has millions of active participants and is the largest financial market in the world, has been greatly affected by the emergence of deep learning techniques. There is widespread recognition of deep learning’s effectiveness for price movement predictions, particularly in financial markets where its effectiveness has been shown. When compared to other machine learning methods, hybrid models like CNN-LSTM have shown to be the most effective and efficient. Nevertheless, there is a lack of thorough comparative research across deep learning hybrids, which makes it difficult to validate these claims empirically, especially in the diversified and extremely unpredictable FX market. To fill that void, this research builds a generic CNN-LSTM model to predict key currency pairs and compares it to another hybrid deep learning model. The objective is to evaluate and strengthen the reliability of deep learning techniques for FOREX forecasting. In order to maximize the generalizability of the model, this study mimics a categorization scenario using stringent cross-validation procedures. Important measures, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, were used to assess the models’ performance. The results show that there is a performance hierarchy, with CNN-LSTM, CNN-RNN. These findings highlight the need to evaluate deep learning models in different real-world contexts. In conclusion, this study highlights the difficulties of FOREX forecasting and the necessity for further evaluations of the predictive power of machine learning models in an ever-changing market. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

With the advancement of information technology in the recent decades, digital and online services have become essential components of everyday life in Europe. Montenegro is no different in this regard. However, as digital literacy in the country is still in a developing phase in comparison with most countries of the EU, a higher portion of its citizens may rely on assistive technical communication. In this paper, we provide a case study on the assistive technical communication of Montenegrin eServices. The work addresses the sectors of online banking, healthcare services, higher education, national administrative services, and utilities. Our findings highlight the diversity in terms of implemented assistive technical communication, and distinguish usage contexts on the level of adequacy. Yet as the functionalities of Montenegrin eServices are expected to gradually expand in the upcoming years, assistive technical communication must aim to handle the higher extents of service complexity. © 2023 IEEE.

Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) are a severe complication in diabetic patients, requiring accurate and early diagnosis to prevent further complications such as infection or amputation. To address this, Research employed YOLO and SSD models for automated DFU detection from medical images, comparing their performance based on key evaluation metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Results demonstrate that both models perform exceptionally well, with SSD achieving an accuracy of 98.7%, surpassing YOLO's 97.5%. Additionally, SSD exhibited superior precision (99%), recall (98.9%), and F1-score (99.1%), indicating its robustness in detecting ulcerated regions of varying sizes and stages. These results were further contextualized through a comparison with previous studies, where SSD outperformed several CNN-based models, which achieved accuracy ranging from 93.7% to 97.0%. The SSD model's multi-scale object detection capabilities, combined with transfer learning and data augmentation techniques, contributed to its high performance. Overall, this study demonstrates the potential of deploying SSD and YOLO models in clinical settings for early and accurate DFU detection, paving the way for more reliable and timely interventions in diabetic care. The findings underline the significance of advanced object detection methods, offering promising avenues for improving patient outcomes in medical imaging

Existing indoor visible light positioning methods, such as those based on fingerprint database algorithms, are complex to construct and consume significant resources. In response to this issue, the text proposes an end-to-end indoor visible light positioning method that samples continuous signals at a small number of random coordinate positions in indoor environments. Through a deep learning method based on attention mechanism, a nonlinear mapping between the received signal and spatial position coordinates is constructed, and the time series properties in the received signal are encoded as a feature in the data. The method is further improved by combining residual networks to improve accuracy. Through simulation experiments, it has been verified that the deep learning based localization method described in this article can achieve sub meter level accuracy on small sample datasets, and it has been proven that time series features have a significant impact on localization accuracy in indoor visible light positioning algorithms based on deep learning. © 2024 IEEE.

Query-Efficient Video Adversarial Attack with Stylized Logo

Video classification systems based on Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) have demonstrated excellent performance in accurately verifying video content. However, recent studies have shown that DNNs are highly vulnerable to adversarial examples. Therefore, a deep understanding of adversarial attacks can better respond to emergency situations. In order to improve attack performance, many style-transfer-based attacks and patch-based attacks have been proposed. However, the global perturbation of the former will bring unnatural global color, while the latter is difficult to achieve success in targeted attacks due to the limited perturbation space. Moreover, compared to a plethora of methods targeting image classifiers, video adversarial attacks are still not that popular. Therefore, to generate adversarial examples with a low budget and to provide them with a higher verisimilitude, we propose a novel black-box video attack framework, called Stylized Logo Attack (SLA). SLA is conducted through three steps. The first step involves building a style references set for logos, which can not only make the generated examples more natural, but also carry more target class features in the targeted attacks. Then, reinforcement learning (RL) is employed to determine the style reference and position parameters of the logo within the video, which ensures that the stylized logo is placed in the video with optimal attributes. Finally, perturbation optimization is designed to optimize perturbations to improve the fooling rate in a step-by-step manner. Sufficient experimental results indicate that, SLA can achieve better performance than state-of-the-art methods and still maintain good deception effects when facing various defense methods. We believe that the proposed SLA can raise awareness among the security community about the reliability and security of video classification systems and serve as a memorandum of possible attack methods for the future. Lymphoma diagnosis, particularly distinguishing between subtypes, is critical for effective treatment but remains challenging due to the subtle morphological differences in histopathological images. This study presents a novel hybrid deep learning framework that combines DenseNet201 for feature extraction with a Dense Neural Network (DNN) for classification, optimized using the Harris Hawks Optimization (HHO) algorithm. The model was trained on a dataset of 15,000 biopsy images, spanning three lymphoma subtypes: Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), Follicular Lymphoma (FL), and Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL). Our approach achieved a testing accuracy of 99.33%, demonstrating significant improvements in both accuracy and model interpretability. Comprehensive evaluation using precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC underscores the model's robustness and potential for clinical adoption. This framework offers a scalable solution for improving diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in oncology.
