Adaptive Cruise control (ACC) system is a well-known Advanced Driver Assistant systems (ADAS) that offers safe, comfortable, and fuel-efficient self-driving capabilities. It utilizes a combination of hardware and software to follow other vehicles, effectively. While the design and control of this system are complex, its user interface ensures ease of use and understanding. This paper aims to demonstrate the application of different control algorithms with the ACC system. Firstly, it introduces the Model Predictive controller (MPC), Levenberg-Marquardt Neural Network (LM NN), Bayesian Regularization Neural Network (BR NN), and Scaled Conjugate Gradient Neural Network (SCG NN). Subsequently, the paper presents a practical implementation of these three neural networks in conjunction with the Classical ACC controller. The performance of MPC with these three emulated neural networks is then evaluated. Finally, the paper concludes by establishing an evaluation and summary of the performance of these controllers. © 2023 IEEE.

In the modeling of such dynamic systems as robots, the energy flow across multiple physical domains is challenging and frequently leads to difficulties, making model-based control methods less efficient. This software enables the efficient creation of multi-domain models in terms of bond graph methodology, allowing users to instantiate elements, ports, and bonds and seamlessly interconnect them. the internal algorithms automate the derivation of equations for each system component with respect to energy variables. the software supports the formulation of system equations in both Cauchy and state-space forms. by specifying system parameters and input signals, software performs numerical simulation, providing comprehensive insights into system dynamics. the powerful tool for multi-domain tools could help in the design and co-design of new multi-domain systems as well as in the synthesis of control algorithms in the energy domain for a wide range of applications. © 2024 IEEE.

This article presents the results of processing full-scale acoustic emission signals obtained at selective laser melting (SLM) process. During the recording of acoustic emission signals during the SLM process, electrical noise and continuous noise arise. For filtering these noises, their frequencies are identified. Noise suppression was carried out on the basis of the previously developed and proposed method for filtering the acoustic emission signal. The scheme of bi-directional filtering and their convolution in the frequency domain is presented. An increase in the efficiency of acoustic emission signal processing has been established. Descriptive analysis of the results before and after filtering the signal parameter shows a statistically significant difference. This difference characterizes the increase in the information content of the measurement results. © 2023 IEEE.

The compensation problem of external disturbances for MIMO systems with feedforward control (combined control) is considered in the paper and the main problems of pole-placement technique application to interconnected multivariable systems are discussed. The compensation problem is solved using decoupled model principle and compensators are designed with measured or unmeasured state variables based on Sylvester equations and state observers. The results are supported with illustrative examples. © 2023 IEEE.

A study of the plane-parallel surfaces finishing process of high-precision parts was carried out. The architecture of the IIoT environment based on the Winnum Platform for a double-acting flat-finishing machine has been developed. The requirements for surface roughness and the tolerance of flatness and parallelism are considered, and the reasons for their magnitude are determined. The analysis of studies on technological issues of manufacturing aircraft vibration sensors has been carried out. The types of technological finishing operation are considered, as well as the process of machine finishing of flat parallel surfaces for a double-acting flat-finishing machine is described. The kinematics of the finishing operation is considered. The need for the development of recommendations for determining the rational technological modes of finishing is revealed. © 2023 IEEE.

The theoretical foundations of the dynamic indentation method for assessing the mechanical characteristics of a material are presented. Computer simulations were performed using the Solid Mechanics, AC/DC, and Moving Mesh interfaces in the Comsol Multiphysics software. When modeling the process of registering the motion of an indenter in the course of contact-impact interaction, a primary transducer with a differential circuit for switching on inductors was taken as the basis, which implements the magnetic induction method and the elastic-plastic model of the deformation of the test object. The obtained results were processed, conclusions were drawn about the efficiency of the model, ways of further optimization of the model were proposed, and goals for future research were formulated. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, there has been an active introduction of digital and automated technologies in Russian mechanical engineering and instrumentation industries. Such systems are CAD, CAPP, MES systems, which allow to automate many processes in production. This study is devoted to CAPP (computer-aided process design systems), paying special attention to the methods used for the design of technological processes. The study showed that the search systems of existing CAPP are all based on manual entry of attributes and subsequent time-consuming analysis of search results, technological processes are dialogue mode. And one of the main factors determining the efficiency and competitiveness of the enterprise is a timely developed and established technological process. In order to increase the efficiency of the technological preparation stage of production, it is proposed a new method for designing technological processes in CAPP through the use of machine learning. Thus, the study made possible the development of a new automated process search system for analogue detail. Also the carried out study provides the algorithm, describing a new process engineering method with machine learning tools. © 2024 IEEE.

This article discusses the automation of ultrasonic echo-pulse method technology for testing soldered joints of heat exchanger elements. The article describes a test object with a complex geometric shape and defects in soldered joints that occur during manufacturing, such as "non-soldering"and "partial non-soldering". The article describes the problems of existing solutions for quality control of soldered joints, which consist in the complexity of positioning the piezoelectric transducer, which leads to insufficient efficiency and reliability of the testing results, which justifies the relevance of the work. Finite element modeling was carried out to establish the dependencies of geometric displacements during positioning of the piezoelectric transducer, based on the results of which an algorithm was developed that allows increasing the efficiency and reliability of the testing results. An experimental testing of the created automated ultrasonic testing system was carried out, which confirmed that the proposed method for automating the technology of ultrasonic testing of soldered joints of heat exchanger elements is more efficient and reliable compared to existing solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper considers a development of a light source search model for the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) program control. The UAV is a quadcopter. The search model based on the Lotka- Volterra equations contains the trend to rotate to the left and trend to rotate to the right. Depending on the interaction of trends, the VAV rotates in one direction or another. The purpose of the search is a light source. The biological control algorithm is adapted for the quadcopter. The robot's algorithms have been developed for searching and tracking modes. The contribution of this paper is to propose the algorithm of actions in cases of search and loss of visual contact with the source. We provide the simulation of values change dynamics of quadcopter rotations trends. The simulation results demonstrate a high degree of entropy, which allows the quadcopter to explore a large area. The trajectory of the robot is constantly changing and depends on the location of other similar sources. © 2019 IEEE.

This paper presents the results of the analysis of AE parameters recorded during the loading of samples with fatigue defects under operating loads. During the loading, the possibility of locating signals at low values of loads that do not exceed the yield strength of the material, and at which it is possible to identify the beginning of the defect development, is shown. Based on the results of experimental work, the possibility of locating cracks in thin-walled structures made of aluminium alloys and assessing their propensity to develop under operating loads using the AE method has been confirmed. The characteristic features in the distribution of informative AE parameters during the development of crack defects in the material, after carrying out repair work according to accepted. © 2022 IEEE.
