Consider a two-stage n-person stochastic game with spanning tree. The cooperative action of the players is defined. In the first stage, players construct the associated cost matrix on a complete graph by selecting strategies, and determine the minimum cost spanning tree. After the first stage, the graph constructed by the players changes randomly with a given probability, and the cost of one or more edges is changed, depending on the action of all players in the first stage. This paper defines a dynamic "optimistic" game with spanning tree and new characteristic functions in the two-stage stochastic game. Finally, it is proved that under certain conditions, the core of the dynamic "optimistic" game is not empty.

In the paper, we propose an approach to feedback control for distributed parameters systems by the example of the rod heating process. To form the control actions, we propose to use the process’s state at the measurement points both at the current time moment and at some past time moments. We derive formulas for the objective functional’s gradient with respect to the feedback parameters, and formulate necessary optimality conditions.

Considered is optimal control problem of a linear loaded system of ordinary differential equations with linear multipoint conditions. Necessary first-order optimality conditions obtained, which make it possible applying effective first-order methods for the solution of the given problem. The results of the test problem are given.

We study the impact of the dissemination of fake news on the evolution of the pandemic in order to estimate the rate of infection that is considered to be the driving force behind its monitoring. To control this infection rate, we consider a refined version of the SIR model where informed individuals are subjected to two forms of information, fake and real. Our approach is to combine the traditional analysis with an evolutionary game where the rate of correctly warned individuals varies over time. We assume that exposure to one or the other type of news affects the other players involved in the game, i.e. the intensity of fake news affects the rate of infection through the behaviour of each player which in turn affects the rate of adoption of fake or real news. Our study results reveal that in order to avert lasting high infection rates, policy makers must aggressively combat fake news and react as soon as a pandemic is declared. While it is socially optimal to address this problem severely, this rigor can only be applied if individuals’ trust in their government is sufficiently high and if other individuals share the same convictions. This article highlights the need for strict measures to counter fake news during the early panic stages and the importance of beliefs and coordination among individuals once the pandemic is brought under control.

In this study we consider the time consistency of multistage cooperative games with social value orientation (SVO) in which there is one optimal trajectories with complete information. In dynamic cooperative games, an important condition for the distribution of players’ payoff is that individual rationality needs to be satisfied. If the players’ payoff do not satisfy individual rationality as the game progresses along the cooperative trajectory, some players will deviate from the cooperative trajectory. And SVO can affect player payoffs along a strategy and thus influence ***, we show the SVO influences the multistage cooperation games with complete information.

Like many physiological systems, the various mathematical models describing the glucose-insulin system can only have non-negative inputs. Thus, the control method — often model predictive control in artificial pancreas systems—must provide a non-negative control signal. Existing solutions include saturation and constrained optimization. In this paper, we propose a dynamic extension of the patient model as a way of ensuring the positivity of the control signal, a method previously applied in tumor growth control. We evaluate the controller in a closed-loop simulation and compare the results with a controller using saturation. Our simulations show that control performance with the extended model can reach or exceed the performance achieved with saturation.

Despite the increasing availability and reliability of artificial pancreas devices, many people with type 1 diabetes mellitus are still on multiple daily injections therapy consisting of a daily basal insulin injection and mealtime boluses. The use of an insulin bolus advisor may improve glycaemic control as well as reduce the burden of the disease on these patients. This paper investigates the application of an impulsive model predictive controller in a bolus advisor system. The bolus calculator is assessed in closed-loop simulations using different basal insulin scenarios. The simulations show that a model predictive controller can achieve good glycaemic control and may be suitable to give bolus recommendations to people with diabetes. Higher basal insulin levels can result in better times in the target range but also carry a higher risk of hypoglycemia.
