The study presents the results of research on an information system for classifying the condition of an arteriovenous fistula. The analysis of sound recordings of arteriovenous fistula murmurs has shown that they can be used for condition classification. A machine learning model for assessing the state of the arteriovenous fistula was developed and trained. The analysis of the spectral features of the audio signal allowed for the identification of a significant set of features for training the machine learning model. The study presents the results of feature importance evaluation using the built-in feature selection method of RandomForest, as well as filtering methods such as the F-test and chi-square test. The investigation into features affecting the model's training accuracy helped identify the most significant features and those that degrade accuracy. The machine learning model achieved an accuracy of 91 % in classifying the condition of the arteriovenous fistula.

General-purpose computing on graphics processing units (GPU) has gained more attention over the last years in scientific computing. Tasks like population-based optimizations are widely used and can be efficiently parallelized. While Python is considered generally 'slow', it is one of the most popular programming languages. In this study, we evaluate the acceleration possibilities of a parameter estimation problem based on optimization utilizing the Numba library on the central processing unit (CPU) and on the GPU. Runtimes indicate that Numba achieves high runtime improvements with little modifications in the syntax. On the other hand, utilization of the GPU is beneficial when high parallelization can be guaranteed and using cloud computing platforms. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper investigates a two-stage network game in which each stage exists given a minimum spanning tree game containing perishable goods. By the defined cooperative behavior, the players act at each stage to construct the cost matrix of the network and obtain the corresponding minimum spanning tree based on the obtained network. At the end of the first stage of the game, a particular player is affected due to the actions of all players and thus leaves the game in the second stage with a certain probability. The total cost of the whole game is considered to be equal to the sum of the costs of the two stages. After defining the characteristic functions of the game, dynamic Shapley values are constructed and their time-consistency is investigated.

A nonlinear feedback control scheme for continuous, binary, tray, multiple-product, and high-purity distillation columns has been proposed. Vapor-liquid equilibrium curve of raw material is presented. Physical properties, kinematics, and dynamics of the distillation column are also calculated. Automatic process control technique is designed for the composition of product in order to follow a desired trajectory. controlling is solved with a novel nonlinear, adaptive approach, called Robust Fixed Point Transformation (RFPT) as well as with the classical, linear PID controller so as to compare their performance. RFPT provides a remedy to disturbances that occur at linear process control.

This paper starts from the classic case of ’’Prisoner’s Dilemma" in game theory, and investigates the prisoner’s dilemma model from single game to repeated game by combining cooperation indices such as social values and beliefs, and discusses the maximum benefit function of the participants when they adopt "tit for tat (TFT)" strategy and ’trigger strategy (TS)" respectively. " strategy and ’trigger strategy (TS)", and finally analyzed how these cooperation indices affect the mechanism of cooperation in repeated games, and finally argued the equilibrium difference between prisoner’s dilemma in single game and repeated game, and illustrated that under repeated game conditions The possibility of cooperation arises under the conditions of repeated games.

With the help of the adaptive gain control algorithm and the flocking SWARM algorithm with adversarial agents, the project described in this article makes the entire system communication-free while maintaining the same functionality and performance. It outlines the entirety of this biologically inspired swarm intelligence's thought process, from inception to conclusion (Flocking algorithm). The entire project is dependable and practically impenetrable under a variety of conditions. The neighbor observation for group conjecture is then strengthened by the use of the adaptive gain control technique and a partial Kalman filter. After the system has been stabilized, use the built-in camera of the SWARM drone to introduce the Object Recognition method in computer vision. As a result, the system enters the real world from the simulation level. © 2023 IEEE.

By using a parametrized analysis, this paper presents a study that focuses on examining both the Simpson's 3/8 formula and the corrected Simpson's 3/8 formula. By utilizing a unique identity that incorporates conformable fractional integral operators, we have constructed novel conformable Newton-type inequalities for functions that possess second-order s-convex derivatives. Special cases are extensively discussed, and the accuracy of the results is validated through a numerical example with graphical representations. © 2025 World Scientific Publishing Company.

The effects of individual physiological phenomena play an important role considering the accuracy of artificial pancreas systems. An example of these phenomena is the heart rate which is easy to measure. There is a connection between heart rate and endogenous glucose production that significantly influences the blood glucose level. The proper implementation of heart rate could lead to defining physical activity in TIDM models. The aim of the current study is to examine how the change in endogenous glucose production influences the fitting accuracies in model versions with different complexity. Our extensions include a heart rate dependent endogenous glucose production equation, modeling the effect of physical activity, and a part defining the effect of insulin on endogenous glucose production. The joint effect of the mentioned extensions was also considered. © 2022 IEEE.
