The increasing vehicle volume every year affects the prediction of the traffic system. The purpose of predicting traffic flow is to estimate the lost data caused by sensor malfunctions due to connection disruptions or ages. In estimating traffic flow, obtaining and explaining the historical data from the nearest segment sensor is necessary. The graph model can describe the spatial relationship between segments by connecting nodes with edges. Graph Neural Network (GNN) has been used as a learning method to predict the traffic flow in the segment sensor. GNN gets input in the form of spatial data built through a graph model, and the features are traffic density, average vehicle speed, and delay time on the road network. This paper shows that GNN's capability performs better in extracting spatial features and predicting the traffic flow by aggregating the features through connectivity nodes and edges.

Along with economic globalization, the shoes and clothing market is undergoing huge changes and is facing increasing individualized demands. To realize personalized customization, we propose a social manufacturing pattern for the shoes and clothing industry. On the customer side, we collect costumer information with the help of 3D scanning and virtual fitting. On the production side, we replace human labor with intelligent production equipment. On the enterprise management side, we construct a cloud platform to realize source maximization. Through this social manufacturing pattern, we expect to accelerate the intelligent reform of the shoes and clothing industry. © 2021 IEEE.

Microbubbles and nanobubbles have several characteristics that are comparable with millimeter- and centimeter-sized bubbles. These characteristics are their small size, which results in large surface area and high bioactivity, low rising velocity, decreased friction drag, high internal pressure, large gas dissolution capacity, negatively charged surface, and ability to be crushed and form free radicals. controlling and modeling fundamental properties such as nucleation and of the dynamics of these bubbles is key to successfully exploiting their potential in the growing number of applications such as biomedical diagnosis and therapy, antimicrobial in aquaculture, environment, engineering, stock raising and marine industry. Laser-generated bubble dimensions can be characterized with an optical setup employing a high power continuous wave green laser for bubble generation. In this work, non-resonant, self-excited due to structurally nonlinear properties of the hydrogel, bubble formation was modeled as functions of well-controlled parameters of the colloidal media that is multi-layered and anisotropic, engineered uniquely.

Broadband Electrical Impedance Matching of Sandwiched Piezoelectric Ultrasonic Transducers for Structural Health Monitoring of the Rail In-Service

To achieve high power transmission efficiency and high signal-to-noise ratio of sandwiched piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers (SPUTs) over a wide bandwidth, broadband electrical impedance matching (EIM) is investigated in-depth. Firstly, L type, T type, III type, IV type and V type EIM networks are designed and the corresponding component parameters are determined by the Smith chart with a quality factor Q constraint. Secondly, the above EIM networks are compared by reflection coefficient S11, transducer power gain (TPG) and active power. It is shown that they can effectively improve the TPG, and active power by two times and greatly reduce S11. Then the emitted voltage and received voltage under different excitation frequencies and EIM networks are analyzed. It is shown that the III type network presents optimal performance, which can make the aforementioned voltage values increase by two times over entire frequency range of interest. Finally, the effect of III type and IV type networks on electromechanical characteristics is studied by using the PSpice model of SPUTs. Compared to non-matching, the electro-acoustical gain ratio is improved almost two times, while the electro-acoustical power ratio is greatly reduced. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) is moving fast from Large Language Models (LLMs) to AI Agents and Agentic Intelligence, the need to incorporate new AI into Decision Intelligence (DI) is becoming more and more urgent for both practical and theoretic reasons: both decision and process complexities would be significantly increased due to the use of advanced AI tools and agents, and both traditional and recent thinking must be rethought and reconstructed accordingly. Our perspective would like to address this important issue based on some historical milestone developments in Computer-Aided Software engineering (CASE) and recent efforts in digital theatrical technology [1].

This paper focuses on a No-code IIoT platform combined with a product quality prediction module for an SME. An infrastructure based on Sparkplug was built, including a self-designed IIoT gateway, an IoT server, and a web-based configuration interface. The IIoT gateway is responsible for receiving the initial configuration from the server and automatically initiating connections to the machine’s PLC at the field device layer, collecting data, and transmitting it to the server. Simultaneously, the web-based application is designed to configure the gateway and monitor the system's condition. The prediction module uses machine learning methods to accurately predict the quality of products based on a pre-existing data set. This platform demonstrates the functionality of an IIoT system by communicating with the injection molding machine and collecting real-time data. By enabling remote configuration and monitoring, the platform showcases its openness and high applicability for industrial IoT and automation needs.

The problems associated with the operation of overhead power lines and ways of improving control over their condition with the help of UAVs are considered. A structural diagram of the system of technical diagnostics of overhead lines based on UAVs was developed, for which the necessary diagnostic parameters were selected according to informative criteria. An analysis of types of UAVs was carried out in order to determine their suitability and efficiency of use for diagnosing the condition of overhead lines.

Fitness landscape analysis (FLA) is quite important in evolutionary computation. In this paper, we propose a novel FLA method, the nearest-better network (NBN), which uses the nearest-better relationship to simplify the original fitness landscape of continuous optimization problems. We introduce an efficient algorithm to calculate NBN for continuous problems. We also propose four numerical measurements and a 3D visualization method based on NBN. Experiments show that compared to the other main FLA methods, the four numerical measurements proposed here can effectively measure the four intended features: neutrality, ruggedness, modality, and basin of attraction, respectively, and common features of the fitness landscape can be maintained in 3D NBN visualization, regardless of the scale of the problem. NBN also provides a view of how algorithms search in high-dimensional problems with the help of the 3D NBN visualization. © 1997-2012 IEEE.

A Maximum Transfer Efficiency Tracking Method for Dynamic Wireless Charging Systems of Electric Vehicles

This paper proposes a new control method to improve transfer efficiency for dynamic wireless charging systems of electric vehicles (EVs). In the charging process, the equivalent impedance in the receiving side varies according to the state of charge of the battery system that reduces the transfer efficiency. An impedance control circuit is constructed on the receiving side to track the optimization impedance that transfer efficiency is maximized. However, the optimization impedance depends on the coupling coefficient. Therefore, in this paper, the coupling coefficient, which varies according to the EVs position, is online estimated only from the receiving side. A 1.5 kW dynamic wireless charging system prototype is built in the laboratory environment. In experiment results, the greatest transfer efficiency obtains 94.14% when the EVs move in aligned on the charging lane. Furthermore, the proposed control method improves by 6% on the transfer efficiency in the case of 30% misalignment when the transfer efficiency obtains 91%. © 2021 Nguyen Kien Trung and Nguyen Thi Diep.
