In this paper is presented implementation of a lightweight supervisory control and data acquisition system for remote test stations as a part of a larger test house in the automotive industry. It is necessary to allow remote set up and monitoring of the test stations, which means defining the structure of a system with numerous test stations as endpoints. The test stations are meant to be virtual machines but can be both virtual and physical machines. A communication protocol must be used that enables this within the organization's network, regardless of actual distance and location. The parameters of the test stations to be monitored can be defined according to the needs and purpose. Even when creating your own tool, this function is not unique, i.e. on one test station parameters of operating system resources such as memory usage can be monitored, while on another test station logged-in users or running programs, reported system errors and others must be monitored. Data storage is one of the mandatory functions of this system. This process allows viewing data throughout history and more detailed analysis of events. There are numerous benefits that can be drawn and used from the data stored in the database. It is necessary to pay attention to the data stored as well as the scope and retention throughout history. The correct and secure setup of a database is one of the prerequisites for any serious system that processes data. Appropriate views should be created for users involved in the data monitoring process using all the elements mentioned so far. Creating a visually acceptable and easy-To-use interface that serves the main purpose is the final presentation of the entire system to users. A complete system leads to higher productivity, profitability and better organization of the company. It also allows project managers to better plan the use and occupancy of test stations. Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is widely accepted as being necessary to counteract threats posed by quantum computers to cybersecurity. However, a QKD setup is fundamentally a single-link solution. Applying this effectively and securely to an entire network requires an overlying architecture that manages the QKD-generated keys. This paper proposes an architecture for integrating QKD-generated keys into existing networks. It presents a logically centralised design, a communication model, and recommendations, offering guidance for teams developing their QKD architecture. © 2024 IEEE.

This study presents a general optimal trajectory planning(GOTP)framework for autonomous vehicles(AVs)that can effectively avoid obstacles and guide AVs to complete driving tasks safely and ***,we employ the fifth-order Bezier curve to generate and smooth the reference path along the road *** coordinates are then transformed to achieve the curvature continuity of the generated *** the road constraints and vehicle dynamics,limited polynomial candidate trajectories are generated and smoothed in a curvilinear coordinate ***,in selecting the optimal trajectory,we develop a unified and auto-tune objective function based on the principle of least action by employing AVs to simulate drivers’behavior and summarizing their manipulation characteristics of“seeking benefits and avoiding losses.”Finally,by integrating the idea of receding-horizon optimization,the proposed framework is achieved by considering dynamic multi-performance objectives and selecting trajectories that satisfy feasibility,optimality,and *** simulations and experiments are performed,and the results demonstrate the framework’s feasibility and effectiveness,which avoids both dynamic and static obstacles and applies to various scenarios with multi-source interactive traffic ***,we prove that the proposed method can guarantee real-time planning and safety requirements compared to drivers’manipulation.

Diabetes is one of the most common diseases in Jordan. It is the main reason of death among Jordanian adult citizens. Worldwide, 48% of all deaths are due to Diabetes occurred before the age of 70 years. Hence, this research is interested in the early prediction of this disease among Jordanian people. To achieve this main objective, Machine Learning (ML) is utilized through a large number of classification models and considering five well-known evaluation metrics. These classification models have been trained on a primary dataset that has been collected for the purpose of the research. The results revealed that BayesNet and NaiveBayes are the best classification models to handle the task of the early prediction of Diabetes in Jordan © 2024 IEEE.

Automatic person identification (API) using human biometrics is essential and highly demanded compared to traditional API methods, where a person is automatically identified using his/her distinct characteristics including speech, fingerprint, iris, handwritten signatures, and others. The fusion of more than one human biometric produces bimodal and multimodal API systems that normally outperform single modality systems. This paper presents our work towards fusing speech and handwritten signatures for developing a bimodal API system, where fusion was conducted at the decision level due to the differences in the type and format of the features extracted. A data set is created that contains recordings of usernames and handwritten signatures of 100 persons (50 males and 50 females), where each person recorded his/her username 30 times and provided his/her handwritten signature 30 times. Consequently, a total of 3000 utterances and 3000 handwritten signatures were collected. The speech API used Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) technique for features extraction and Vector Quantization (VQ) for features training and classification. On the other hand, the handwritten signatures API used global features for reflecting the structure of the hand signature image such as image area, pure height, pure width and signature height and the Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) architecture of Artificial Neural Network for features training and classification. Once the best matches for both the speech and the handwritten signatures API are produced, the fusion process takes place at decision level. It computes the difference between the two best matches for each modality and selects the modality of the maximum difference. Based on our experimental results, the bimodal API obtained an average recognition rate of 96.40%, whereas the speech API and the handwritten signatures API obtained average recognition rates of 92.60% and 75.20%, respectively. The metaverse is a developing field that crosses several areas of multimedia research. In this paper, we introduce the 256-MetaverseRecords dataset, a novel and extensive collection of annotated screen recordings in the form of videos from various virtual worlds of the metaverse. We describe the process of creating the dataset, the quality criteria for the annotations, and the exploration of the dataset. We also show four experiments to evaluate the performance of different feature extraction methods for Metaverse Recordings (MVRs): MVR segmentation, audio event detection, and object and interaction detection based on this dataset. Our results demonstrate that existing methods have limitations and leave challenges in dealing with the diversity and complexity of metaverse data, and that more research is needed to develop metaverse-specific techniques. Our dataset can serve as a valuable resource for the research community and foster the development of new applications and solutions for the metaverse. © 2024 Owner/Author.
