The purpose of this paper is to introduce a novel image enhancement technique by using directional wavelet transform. Directional wavelet transform decomposes an image into four-dimensional space which augments the image by the scale and directional information. We show the directional information significantly improves image enhancement in noisy images in comparison with the classical techniques. Image enhancement is based on the multiscale singularity detection with an adaptive threshold whose value is calculated via maximum entropy measure. For a large scale of software development, there is a tremendous number of software requirements documents in a collection which may be produced for different domains by different developer teams. They may be later reused to reduce cost and time for the next development. Thus, there is a need to retrieve ones that meet user's need efficiently. This paper presents an approach for software requirements specification retrieval in a form of use case description using use case structure and similarity computation between terms of use case query and use cases in the collection. The contribution of the paper has five main points; 1) the approach for retrieving use case description is proposed, 2) the developed tool supporting the approach is presented, 3) the experiment is designed to measure effectiveness of the approach, 4) the results of the experiment are shown to compare effectiveness of the approach to that of a general approach, and finally 5) the recommended use case description query template is proposed.

At large energetic groups, interference problems can appear between different components, mainly due to the inductive and resistive couplings. An original analysis algorithm that uses Fast Fourier Transform (EFT) is used. Two data acquisition systems were employed to record the electric nature signals from various points of the studied energetic group. The quality factors were computed and presented, along with the powers flow between the auxiliary generator and the fully-controlled rectifier with thyristors and respectively between the main generator and the power system. There are estimated the electromagnetic interdependencies as a consequence of some influences between different components of the group. Implications of these influences over other zones (monitoring and protection systems) from the energetic group are also presented. Conclusions are drawn with respect to the electromagnetic biocompatibility in what is concerning the noise due to the electromagnetic interference.

In the service-oriented software environment, interactions between components are highly dependent on the exposed service interfaces. Therefore, designing an appropriate service interface is essential. In this paper, we aim to perform a comparative evaluation on three different approaches to service interface design, i.e. method-centric, message-centric and resource-centric. The evaluation is performed systematically based on a list of selected evaluation criteria. It is expected that the evaluation results may assist software architects to understand the differences between approaches and adopt the approaches wisely in the service interface design.

One of the features of the system is resident participation. The GIS layer structure proposed in this paper nicely supports this user participation. Learning Objects is not a new approach in electronic learning system. It has been applied since more than seven years ago. It can be clearly seen in CanCore project [9] in Canada and the emerging of several standards of Learning Objects by well-known organizations such as IEEE. L3OP (Learning Objects Technology in Object-Oriented Programming ELearning System) project applies the Learning Objects concept into electronic learning system focusing on digitalizing learning styles (especially among higher education students). The electronic learning systems have been used by these students since past few generations and many of them have been enhanced. However, some students still feel that the electronic learning systems are not as effective as they may seem. The reason is varieties of traditional methods of learning styles used by these students, for example, jotting down and highlighting notes cannot be done in the electronic learning systems. For example, some students prefer to use highlight pen or marker to underline the important notes. However, the electronic learning systems can not digitize the styles. The project is only concentrated on visual type of learners. The Learning Objects approach used in this project not only to ensure the organization of the database but also the reusability of the learning content itself.

Negotiation involves the execution of rules and interaction among the agents toward the agreement, objective or outcomes. It is a complex process and need careful study and design. This paper focuses on experience sharing under the development of negotiation approach in a booking application (e.g. Smart Lecture Theatre). It consists of the conceptual ideal of negotiation as well as the methodology for life cycle development. The development life cycle has been structured into five phases: location determination, interaction protocol design, autonomy determination, agent binding and agent implementation. A simple negotiation application has been experimented for a simple argumentation negotiation application and an intelligent-based argumentation negotiation application. Automated diagnosis of software faults can improve the efficiency of the debugging process, and is therefore an important technique for the development of dependable software. In this paper we study different similarity coefficients that are applied in the context of a program spectral approach to software fault localization (single programming mistakes). The coefficients studied are taken from the systems diagnosis/automated debugging tools Pinpoint, Tarantula, and AMPLE, and from the molecular biology domain (the Ochiai coefficient). We evaluate these coefficients on the Siemens Suite of benchmark faults, and assess their effectiveness in terms of the position of the actual fault in the probability ranking of fault candidates produced by the diagnosis technique. Our experiments indicate that the Ochiai coefficient consistently outperforms the coefficients currently used by the tools mentioned. In terms of the amount of code that needs to be inspected, this coefficient improves 5% on average over the next best technique, and up to 30% in specific cases
